an amazing song! it makes me emotional every time I listen to it, now I know the meaning, but I remember that the first time that I heard it I also was almost crying she really knows how to use her voice to create emotions, the feeling of the song is just that emotional even without literally understanding the full meaning. And when I found out the meaning I even CRIED. AMAZING SONG!

Many Korean pop artists, however talented, oftentimes lack two things: 1) Vocal range -- Koreans typically have a limited vocal range that oftentimes is weak, limited, and sounds like a tinny falsetto; and 2) Soul: The majority of Korean singers -- particularly manufactured girl groups -- are typically over-produced and lacking in maturity, real emotions, true feelings, or power. Insooni is amazing b/c she has all of these while embodying the best of Korean and African-American styles.
Watching this again in 2018 and it makes me sad and also laugh... the beginning is the biggest bullshit ever. Even though it’s obviously staged... no one EVER in Korea would be that happy in that situation! “I’m just happy to have food on the table and make a living.” Or the girl “I failed the university entry exam and I’m sorry to my parents but I’ll do my best!” Life in Korea has gotten worse for the average citizen, despite economical prosperity. But we all know only the rich become richer. No matter the country. It’s still a beautiful song tho. Maybe it can still give some people a little hope.

딱 10년전..도서관에서 고시 공부할 때 이 노래 듣다가 울음나서 고개 숙이고 울었던 기억이 나네요.

2010년에 나오는 드림하이라는 드라마를 봤을 때 이 노래가 좋아졌다. 이 노래 덕분에 고3에 힘든 순간이 잘 지나갔다. 그 때부토 이 노래는 나의 애찬국이 되었다. 지금까지 힘든 일이 생겨도 이 노래를 듣고 힘이 쌓였다.
