    Shelter Formation also makes you benefit from Brandon's rank 4 passive 50% damage reduction when the whole party is in the backline
    Truly an amazing skill you you choose to have a physical damage dealer
    Active skills become a bit irrelevant once you get Utilitarian's Manuel and Magic Link but there are some like Vidyartha and Mediline that don't have competition in Syn skills
    I don't see myself ever casting Shelter Formation or Formation of Vigor in the late game where I could cast Dynast Formation for almost the same price

    Making this comment to correct something you said in The video, charge and hyper can be used more than once per battle it’s mistranslated and should say boosts dmg on one atk. you can/have to reapply the buff to use it again.

    Using Vidyatha, Debilitate, Mascarade Charge, Heat Rise and Formation of Vigor along with Hero's Cry for the extra turns needed I was able to set up my character to kill everything in one turn. It's nuts.

    This game needed something beyond Skybound and the Tyrant Star. The latter of which is where you spend time grinding. I think in my NG+ beyond the MC which NEEDED 100% I think everyone is at maybe 60 to 70% its a waste of energy because there's nothing left to do. Another dungeon would have been awesome for experimentation with max archetypes on all characters and ngl maybe rewarding you with 1 more slot for inheritance.

    • @JRPGSamurai
      @JRPGSamurai  9 дней назад

      I absolutely agree! NG+ is really stale, not to mention, we can't even enjoy our Royal Archetypes that long. Maybe in the next release, surely it will have a super dungeon. But that's another 70 USD for us lol!

    • @admontblanc
      @admontblanc 9 дней назад

      I spent less time grinding Tyrant Star than Tradia Desert Corridor tbh, and got the achievement in hard mode with mc lvl 88 and Basilio (lowest lvl party member) at 83. If you do abuse Merchant early on, which you will on your first playthrough to be able to buy all the best stuff, you end up grinding more evenly. I do agree that the game should have more content that suits the power level you achieve on the first playthrough, even though a lot of players will just do the basics and probably not care much about having a good setup for tackling a regicide mode NG+.

      Agreed. Just put them in a random dungeon with hard enemies for post game. No need to make a story for it. Just say it's not real and all happening in the imagination of the MC as he works on his new book during his first year ruling.

    I was shocked to see thunderhead dance or any of the inflicts the user with an electrical weakness or the other skills like that anywhere here. I felt like when I played I always got a ton of value out of making a boss especially later in the game weak to a certain element as more turns the better. But I also made a team synergy that could abuse electric weakness. (I'm curious of your ranking of elemental damage attacks too. Do you feel like 1 is better than another, cause I feel like every Atlus game has 1 that is always better just due to general weaknesses ) I am also a big fan of two other attacks you didn't mention, Holy Knight's Proclamation, the paladin version since it' feels like there's a ton you can get off it. Obviously you can take hits guarded and reduce the chance of the foe increasing press turn off a weakness, as well having a dodge build designed to make them deplete all of their press turns. ( Though I feel like that is a good strat for Heismay and no so much others. I think that move is the reason so many enemies have AOEs. I also liked using stormbreaker axe as my way to remove buffs from foes as well. Think it's a niice secondary way to remove the bufff whhile also using the physical attacker. It felt best for tempo for me anyways. I think my support character carried both stat removing skills, but they were always doing something else, maily debuffing with Vidyartha, which is best skill in the game 100%. Though certain bosses make deliberate better but that's just on bosses who don't like being debuffed lower than - 2.

      Hello Dragoon thanks for sharing your thoughts. Regarding elemental weakness, its does give one an ability to synergize the whole team to exploit a consistent elemental weakness. It is indeed viable. But in the same sense, I am a guy who loves to stick into one build like for example a pure physical build. This is pre Royals of course. I think all elements has the same advantage overall in terms of raw damage.
      While I considered the Knight's Proclamation alone and it is indeed broken. I always share the same God Dodger Heismay setup on this channel. But since I already put Unwavering Blade that pertains to Heismay, putting the Knight's Proc will be another niche skill. I always put the skills that can affect the general team on this list and orginally, knight's proc is the top 10. I also mentioned that there are a lot of great attack that have additional effects, like the stormbreaker axe and the others. I explained in the video that you will be having those skills anyways when you switch to the archetypes that have it, especially if you are the type who loves to adjust and prep for fights.

    Once again a really accurate list that should help a lot of people ! I'd have added some honourable mentions that imho are equally interesting than those you choose :
    - Faker/Trickster's Roguery, which can really be busted in non-Regicide but less effective in it (mostly because you optimize it by restart-fight-scumming your first turn to get 3 or 4 turns lel). If you like playing with your luck its always a good skill, but its also almost a no-downside skill if used as the last action of the Turn : if you only have an half-pressturn remaining, bad RNG won't make you lose 4 full-pressturns and your whole Turn but can make you win a lot;
    - Gunner's Hexshot then Sniper's Smashing Salvo, which are the best Piercing for a big while. Since Pierce is the most common weakness through the whole game (i think?) its incredible to have access to some that are not Knight igniter, but being also a backline attack it avoid getting in front early to keep the passive defense buff from Bardon's friendship (which is insanely strong). In lategame you try to play in Frontline but before unlocking the last archetypes, being in backline is always better;
    - General's Frigid Fortress Tactic, which is imho just busted and makes magic builds totally wrecks for a while. At the point in the game where you can get this on characters, its the strongest thing your team can do that is not spamming 4 Merchants aha. Phys characters don't have their full kit or their strong lategame attacks with high crits etc, and needs a lot of support to wreck the game (crit + charge etc). In the other hand, you just put FFT on every character to make a Magic team and you can trivialize anyone that is not immune to ice without even trying to understand its weaknesses lol. A really nobrain spam move which almost never punishes the player. Its for me the first offensive skill that made me say "ok if a midgame Archetype can get ultra busted things like this as Skills and not igniters, what are the next ones gonna do lol ?" (and when i saw the Prince, i was right.. but also wrong since Commander line is just busted all along ahah)
    - And last but not least, Soul Hacker's Emerald Vortex which combined with FFT actually makes magic based comp/MC busted until unlocking the Prince. This skill just cleans anything that is not a boss on the first turn without even checking the weaknesses. Once you get this on the MC you just cruise through dungeons without any strategy or even buying informations on enemies lol. You have an AoE nuke with ignore resist + FFT for pressturn generation and Void Wave for ATK debuff on bosses + the fact that you stay on Backline.. its so disgusting and pretty flexible. FFT on Soul Hacker makes him do everything, Emerald Vortex on Commander or Masked Dancer (any mask) is also really similar.. its also the only element Devil and Royal Summoner can't access to make them able to cover anything (but if you put it.. you'll mostly end up spamming it because ignore resist so.. lel)
    Anyway always a pleasure to see your accurate vids ! Good job :)

      Faker's Roguery is useable in Regicide if you acquire the equipment that increases your success for randomized skills, I think it's a special Faker weapon you get from completing archetype studies with one of the characters (probably Junah).

    • @Wisarg
      @Wisarg 9 дней назад +1

      @@admontblanc You're totally right!
      I didn't mention it because i was into inheriting skills for any other Archetypes and not using any kind of stuff, but yeah now that you're talking about it you can make this incredible skill even greater !
      But its also important to point out that even if Faker is one of the best Archetypes.. we rarely use it itself ahah. 2 weaknesses + only support moves doesn't make it appealing. Even if it has a pretty good Igniter, its mostly use it to inherit its best skills like Rakunda/Debilitate/Vidyartha and Roguery (before unlocking Prince). So getting better RNG on Roguery at the price of playing the archetype itself.. i don't know if its worth it ahah !
      But i should mention that i'm actually not the type of player to retry the 1st turn to get the most value of Roguery, but i still consider it a toptier skill even with its RNG aspect. Imho its a really interesting skill design wise that interacts with the player and ask "should you play me?" ahah.
      So for people that "cheesed" with it in NG thinking it was only strong this way and would not want to use it in NG+ because of the no-retries, firstly they're wrong, and secondly the weapon you suggest could make them play it !
      So thanks for poiting it out :)

    Patra skills are not that important. Items and abilities. I'll be fair in that I needed Pen Patra in NG but that's because not everyone could get or had Instant Recovery, Unshaken Will, or Battle Master.
    But in normal fights in NG+ you have all of your anti-condition items. Even if you give up a slot. But even then...
    The point of all fights - because you literally get a buff to your base stats every single time an archetype can be studied that you have mastered - is to end them quickly. Your enemy won't get a chance to inflict an aliment.
    And in nortious boss fights like with Devourer of Flame you have stuff like Milo's item that prevents charm. And abilities and items in general that reflects fire so you can ever be burned. And again if you can fight the dragons on an equal footing in terms of stats and abilities you should not give them a turn anyways. But in the end game everyone had access to Instant Recovery so eh.
    Eh...I was gonna crap on Vidyartha's placement but it would make me a liar. Your goal in NG+ is to quickly end fights. I would like to put Debilitate above it because in a game where your opponent will lose all of their turns from missing having ability that cucks their AGI but also their other parameters is on paper much better. But I guess that depends.
    The toughests enemies in the game i.e. the dragon are important because they cannot buff their AGI. This means they have to cast Dekunda and waste a turn. If they don't then it doesn't matter how strong Breath of Battle/Dragon's Wrath is.
    Ultimately Vidyartha contributes more to your DPS while Debilitate contributes to survivability overall as it targets AGI but ALSO atk even if there's no -2 debuff attached. I still give it to Heismay because as a Royal thief if he's not casting Proclamation he may as well debuff. Yes he can use Adamant Nightblade to deal damage and drop AGI but lots of time its not worth it.
    Best believe if there was a skill that was Vidyartha but for AGI where it got dropped by 2 it would be the best skill in the game.
