I bleed Kawi green but dag nab it!!! If they are in the market to make $$$$, the market it is screaming for a new Ultra XXX model aka rxpx/gp1800r competitor! The 1.5L w the TVS will ripppppppp in a STX or like minded hull. Shoot ,TVS makes a bigger rotor pack in the event they wanna give us a monster give us the TVS1740 rotor pack and let us pulley down to as much boost as we need along as we got good rods and pistons(the 1740 will be lazy at low boost though). My dream ski is a OG STX hull w the 310r engine and pump etc.., redesigned 1320 blower..legit 20ish psi, flex fuel compatible 400hp on a dialed in Skat Twin prop(cheat code on the Ultra 310r btw). These monkies will sell sell sell. Thanks again brother love the show

My money says it is the same top deck. I have two in the garage to compare with new photos.

The STX160 will do 60-62mph stock.... Not exactly slow. Also I'm guessing it's the same top deck... The R does utilize 310 sponsons. There's a YT short/reel that shows them up close.... The 160R needs that watercooled turbocharger Kawi recently patented.

Never in EVER of our testing have we gotten one STX to surpass 58-59mph on GPS with neutral current. And that is 20 years of testing.

@@watercraftjournal didn’t you show GPS confirmed 60.1mph in your 440 miles in one day video?

The main jog dial close to left cupholder. But what about the stereo controller? Or did they incorporate the two into one? The STX has the jog dial where the Ultras have the stereo controller.

Slowest in what segment? The 160 is faster than all EX and the VX with the MR1 engine. Faster than all Sparks and 130 Sea Doos. Equal to or not far off from the 170 Sea Doos.

      Sorry. Yamaha TR1 engine

    • @joeyperez6993

@@edwardbowles8613According to manufacturer specs the 170 Seadoos are still slower on paper. The only naturally aspirated sit down PWCs faster are the Yamaha 1.8s and 1.9s HOs with the FX HO being variable depending on which HO motor, hull material, water conditions, rider weight and how much fuel in the tank.
If Kawi isnt promising the expected 62 mph top speed on GPS which was the selling point for me and others then that could lead to a lawsuit for false advertisement.

Thanks for the analysis! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?

Why did Kawasaki think it was a great idea to unveil the 2025 models and 2026 at the same time??? Somebody with some marketing sense please help them out so they can improve upon being a distant 3rd in sales (in a race of 3)

Kawi can't get the designations right. Too confusing. Ultras should be Ultra 310, 310x and 310lx. This should simply be the the 1500X2. But I kinda get not using X2 on this new ski. X2 was technically a two seater. This is not. Call it the X1 maybe. SX-X just doesnt work. People I talk to want to say X2. I like Kawi taking a swing at something different. They have to cut price though. It needs adjustable steering and trim to come close to justifying the expected price. My big question is deep water reboarding. The old X2 had a small low seat and strap to pull up with. On a standup you hold onto the bars. What do you pull up with on this ski? Is there a handle or strap. Taking off from shallow water like the video shows is easy. It has to have something to help with deep water reboarding. Thanks for posting this. Greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Definitely not an X2. Missed opportunity, or is that coming?
They are so buoyant and stable it's like climbing on a pool ledge, these won't be hard to get on.

I disagree about using the old names on something that is so different than the original. Look at the new Chevy Blazer, it's a disgrace to the name.
Im hoping for a TR1 Superjet based Waveblaster and an X2 with an SXR hull and a low seat. Both should be able to carry a passenger legally but not necessarily easily.
And come on, where's the SXR310?

I hope this isn't the finished product? It looks like "prototype patchwork" over the original top deck. Kawasaki needs to make a new hull and deck, make it longer too. This 2026 version is an improvement for performance but kinda ugly, looks slopped over with plastic, all the frontal area fiberglass is covered with plastic like an afterthought, there we fixed it.
