You are so dead-on! NESN seems married to the two of them. One lectures and never shuts up during the play while the other can't seem to put two words together. It's been like this for years. I often turn off the sound. More recently they've invited guests during the game for 15 minute interviews which have taken the place of calling the game. What a pleasure to watch the occasional game on TNT or the NHL network.@@thewizardofoz511
Dude sounds like he has had a stroke or is drunk off his ass. Outside of the sound of his voice his Hockey knowledge is very rudimentary.
If you ever watched more Boston games you would be leaving comments about how grateful you are that this game had to tolerate hungover Jack Edwards rather than the usual freshly cocained Jack Edwards. Only a portion of native Bostons appreciate him, but those that do are very vocal. The more that the Bruins organization slips nyquil into Edwards's lithium, the classier and more watchable the organization becomes.
Still, it goes without saying that Sportsnet would have been wiser to have featured Ken and Mick.

I've always defended Jack Edwards for his passionate and colorful play calling, but today he matched the Bruins in sloppiness.

People are saying the same kind of things about Ken and Mick more and more lately, which tells me that neither set of broadcasters are particularly "bad" in most senses. It's not easy to have the same energy at 75+ that they had when they were in their 40's. It tells me to appreciate them while they're still here.

JT Compher has been a great, underrated acquisition. Almost feel sorry for Beantown having to listen to these Homer nobodies at the mic

Sabres fan here, seeing Boston lose Is always sweet,... always, it doesn't matter where it comes from.
And seeing the Sabres consistently not make the playoffs is even better comment again when you actually can win something where it matters most. Pretty pathetic you have to bandwagon other teams to troll Sabres fans out of any fan talking is hilarious af.

Such a slow play by play by such a homer. Half the time hes just saying words at random. Has to catch up to the play, multiple touches behind.. Boston needs new play by play

Another one of those Holiday Blues games. Wings came in confident and fired up. Bees wanted the day off to be with family and friends. By Sunday the teams will get back to it.

I cant help but feel dissapointed by our play today. Everything felt so sloppy. Especially Marchand has given away so many pucks, plus the inability to keep the puck in the zone when it matters didnt help us either. Gotta give it to the Red wings. They outplayed us

These Boston announcers are so damn annoying. Funny hearing them pick un Detroit's coverage on Boston's second goal...."fundamentals"...then watching Larkin score on the next highlight with the D man out to lunch....FUNDAMENTALS
My top 2 most aggravating (as a Bruins fan) moments of the game... (1) not the giveaway by Poitras, but the fact that it's usually a save that Swayman can make. (2) Marchand being sloppy and stupid by giving away an empty-netter.
Poitras has hit a wall.
Marchand has a tendency to try doing too much when in desperation mode, ending up in some sloppy plays. I get it, he's trying to push the team over the hump, and there's a lot of emotion in that little guy in big moments. If he could keep his head a bit calmer I think he'd be a lot more successful in coming through.
They seemed sluggish to me after those two tough games in Florida. Tough game coming up against the Rangers tomorrow.

Bruins played horrible. D sucked. Offense , passing real bad. Couldnt clear puck, gee this is gettimg old w this Bruins team. These guys weren't ready for the speed and intensity of Detriot. Baad matchup for us. Imo they beat us in a 7 game series. We're too sloppy right now on D and Offense
