    Phillip Sayce is so underrated.Most people have never heard of him but he's up there with Clapton and Stevie Ray.

    The part before the refrain, where it picks up in crescendo ,. .. . . " And i tried to do my best.". . . . emotionally moves me inside, goose-bump-causing stuff . . . . . The GUITAR solo alone makes this worth watching.

    I love Melissa. I love here voice & everything about her. I could listen to her all day long. I have a CD w/ 35 songs that I love. I know she has made more since then so I have got to listen to her newer stuff. The guitar was fantastic. My favorite video of hers though was Come to my Window. That was the start of falling in love w/ her. About the middle of this song brings me back to when I was young and would go to the bars w/ my friends. So much fun. so long ago..................

    Thank you for being open and selfless about the loss of your son, Beckett. Here's where i make it all about me : . . . . . . . . .. . . . . .. My late Mom also struggled with opioid addiction for decades. back before people talked about it in the larger culture or knew what it was. It was seen as part of her alcoholism.. . . . . . .At 60, after heart -disease and failure, she overcame it, party because she had a breakdown, was hospitalized and then given ECT therapy for it. When she had the heart surgery, i was taken aside away from my dad, breaking down clearly, and the doctors and the like told me i should make her final arrangements, and i had, even picking out a casket in rose-gold, her favorite color of jewelry. They had told is that it was a loose-loose proposition to even have the surgery, when they said she would not survive without it, nor survive the actual surgery itself. The surgery took place at a different hospital than where our doctors were headquartered when they said they'd not do the needed surgery trhat, again, they said she does not survive in the first place, We had to sit down with her in the hospital and talk to her about the likelihood she'd pass away, but she was willing to go for it anyway. I had to shop around for a hospital to do that surgery, thankfully the thrids one would go ahead and do it. We had GREAT insurance, and the whole ull, not to make it about money, was $1.3 MILLION and why i'm a healthcare advocate from that now. ............. ........... ......... ......... ............ .......... ........... When my Mom was still in the psychiatric ward, and me being so lost and wanting to run away,, i took out every student loan they foolishly alloted me, and went to MU (U of Missouri, Columbia". My first year there, my parents both came to the area from our home St. Louis, and my Mom, who i left partly because i couldn't deal with all the horror, was like some version of her as she would have been had she not struggled with her addictions and mental health problems. It makes me cry to remember how well and healthy she was for those hearly four years she lived on with. le, u nny In my third year there, i was on the student music committee, a group responsible for sourcing and booking musical acts. I was also in the lgbt student group and was really excited that we were able to pay for Ms. Etherridge to come to the school and play. She had just really broken out into pop culture in the mid-90s. and broken out of the closet as well. .......................................................................................................... It was the best-attended concert ever, which for everybody was FREE, students and non-students alike and they had to turn away people at the door, thousands of us jammed in the space. * I want to say the seating capacity was 10,000, but that seems so high. I can't remember.) I stuttered as i spoke to her off-stage, and she,--- not by my suggestion --- mentioned we were having a showing of part of the Names AIDS Memorial Quilt exbibit. ............ . . .. . ..... It's all such a special memory to me, and i thank her as I'm trying to not cry now. Thank you for so much, for everything. Daniel. L ...

      I'm a apologizing here, when --- re-reading it --- it was a sort of inappropriate over-share, and one it seems in retrospect i used this page to allow me to talk about it all. ///., / Ytite-but-true, i made it all about me, and under the pretense of me talking about Ms. Etherridge. ..............I still mean all the kind things i said, so thank you for that. .

    Who is that other league guitar player?

    • @imstarz9123
      @imstarz9123 2 года назад +1

      Philip Sayce. He is one of the greatest ever. If you need some links let me know. RUclips slipaway, steamroller, and him covering who knows. Peace machine is the album to listen to in order to get familiar. He is just as good as anyone who ever picked up a guitar. He played and toured with Jeff Healey when he was 19 as well. The most underrated and under appreciated guitarist ever. He is what would have happened if Jimi and Stevie lived. He gets alot of heat for sounding as good as them. Gets called a copycat etc. But he actually does things they did and things nobody has ever done. He is also very kind and humble. A great guy to meet and be around. I've been playing my whole life and played with alot of my heroes. No one alive holds a candle to Philip. He should be playing stadiums instead of bars. Sorry for writing a book. Just wanted to share what I know about this amazing person and guitarist. 🤘

      ruclips.net/video/lNftPSwCYIg/видео.html This is something great to watch. When Slipaway gets into the slow blues. It's magic. Start at 805 on this vid on your first listen. It will only fake about a minute or 2 to understand why I hold him up there with anyone.
