For crying out loud. His name is Wally. The book was made in UK, and it was named Wally. Just because only the US its name to Walldo doesn't change the fact his name is Wally. God!
No, Wally was definitely the original name when the books were first published in the UK, and then it changed to Waldo for the US version. They probably kept Odlaw's name the same in the UK dubbing of the show because it's easier to pronounce than "Yllaw" would be.
That damn wizard is a fealthy old man (creep) galavanting around bare foot after younger women (who likes to talk and drink). And did anyone notice how big his pupils were?? Huh?! So much for it's G rating..
i agree wally sounds so much betta..but tehcnically it shud be waldo bcos thats how they got odlaws name..they just reversed 'waldo'. but anyway..still luv the show:)
@icekat83 i wonder why they changed the name to wally when they released it to Australia, wally does sound better. but i guess its because we grew up knowing it as wally
This used to be the coolest show when i was a kid. I miss this so much!

I love both his names. "Waldo" may be a name, but it sounds more goofy honestly.
The "black and yellow guy" is odlaw and he rocks!
Adventure time is the modern Where Is Wally!!

@wizlou
But it messes up the Waldo/Odlaw match. Either way, still a fun cartoon.
Waldo sounds so creepy and pedo-ish.
Wally is the original name and the best.
@Phillip3101989 Actually Wizard Whitebeard is played by the brother from Everyone Loves Raymond. But still its a f**king MIND FREAK!

Wonder if Dumbledore was based on Whitebeard?
wally > waldo
hate to say it but I think waldo might have been the original name because odlaw is waldo backwards :(
nevertheless, wally>waldo
Its WALDO!!! not WALLY!!!
WOW i actually remember watching this episode, and it would be at least 20 years ago!
I knowww!! I used to love this showww...
Brad Garrett can really do a good Rodney Dangerfield impersonation
This show use to be rarely on for me. :( And it'd be just like finding Wally, when it came to trying to find when the show would be on. :O
@tyler951 In the UK and most European countries, "Waldo" is "Wally". In fact I think he's only known as Waldo in the US. Loved this program as a kid.
Odlaw's so cool.
Whitebeard is such a Pimp lol!
Whitebeard's wasted, awesome.
I did a class assembly today about wally I was wally and I was dressed up in a manic costume
Tintin's voice!
hey there weren't any dragons back in the cave man times. what kind of an educational tv show is this!
Odlaw is Scar! (The Lion King) My life is complete :D
you are right but they have made Wizard Whitebeard's characteristics similar to Rodney Dangerfield.
He was Wally first! I've never understood why they had to change his name in the States
"pick up some more dip" was originally "pick up some more dope"
in soviet-russia , waldo finds you...
In sweden Wally is called Hugo. lol
