He is totally right!!! I work for one of faang companies, initially I felt extremely competitive to compete with my colleagues. My fellow buddy was coding since he was 7. Damn! I started coding in 21. We should teach our students what is really required rather than forcing them to study things that are useless. It really matters how students are taught! Our education system is totally theoretical, rather it should more practical. Students should be taught to apply things(in real life) that they have learnt, that will make them more curious and for sure it make the topic more interesting. I don't say that our educational system is wrong but it definitely requires some tweaking.

in current curriculum for an electronics student, Anna University teaches C programming in the 4th year while they are teaching python & java in the 1st year. This itself is a bad design. I wonder who approves this. Just because python & java is needed more, for an electronics student, C is more important.

This is a new model which is being pioneered and backed by industry leaders. Second year onwards, students will get paid internships and the model is being piloted in the companies mentioned. Also, these are not part time jobs but remote internships.
