    Hi there! Looking into this history curriculum for my kiddo next year (although I can't decide whether to do D or the D+E condensed version!). I literally want to do the D & E versions independently just because of the lap books for each level! 🤣 I don't think the lap book would work for the condensed version. Anyway, my question is are you still doing this curriculum with your kids? If so, how long does the book shark history lesson take on average per day?

      @gatheredandgroundedhomeschool  Год назад +1

      It took about 2-4 hours each day, so we no longer do the full curriculum- I just couldn’t justify that much time on history. we use the readers and resources just in different ways. We LOVE the lap books, those were our favorite part. We are still using them. I’ve never used the condensed version of bookshark but I’m sure you could email them asking how the lap books work. I wouldn’t want to miss out on those

      Oh my gosh! That is a long time on one subject! Definitely need to rethink this. Thanks for the info!

      @@melissacardona1747 yes, I think they provide sample instruction guides so just look at a typical day- all the readings that are required - We could just be slow 🫣

    Hi, Do you think the lapbooks could be used with different US curriculums? This is a little too literature heavy and daily time for us but the lap books are something else! Do you have a favorite US history course?

      The lapbook can be used standalone, and we really enjoyed it!!! We are currently reading through the Tuttle Twins Americas History books.
      I haven’t found a curriculum we really enjoy for history yet

      The schedule is my favorite part! I’m kicking myself in the but not just getting their science and having that all year! I have lots more videos coming out with updates & us doing lessons as we get back into our school year!

    Using the all in one package about how much time do you spend daily in the 4 days a week schedule for all subjects?

    • @gatheredandgroundedhomeschool
      @gatheredandgroundedhomeschool  2 года назад

      We don’t use the all in one package just the reading with history from bookshark. We spend about 1 hour on bookshark each day, 3x a week. Our other curriculum (LA, Math, Science, ect) takes another 2 1/2 hours - so about 3 1/2 solid hours of curriculum for my 4th grader 3x a week and then we 1 half day a week with about 1 hour or curriculum. If bookshark seems too much in 1 day, split a day into 2 days, the great thing about homeschooling is do what works best for your family.
