can we use construction sand instead river sand?
It really depends on the source of this sand. It might be risky because I can be contaminated. So you need to be sure that it wasn't in contact with any chemicals etc.
Really beautiful! That spiderwood could not be more perfect!
Thank you :) Yes, I got really lucky with this spiderwood :)
Very cool end result. Entire tank looks really clean!
Thank you! Cheers!
Can i grow plants in black substrate sand ❓
My son and I really enjoyed watching you craft that. Beautiful tank, lots of great advice. Thank you
Awesome! Thank you! All the best to you and your son!
Give us update on the apisto babies!
Your tank looks very beautiful! Simple and not expensive to make) What do you usually do with the fry when it gets bigger? Do all of them survive?
Thank you! Not all of the fry will ever survive, that is not realistic. But the ones that do - I give away to my friends and sometimes I donate them to the sellers on my local tropical fish market
Another fabulous video matt, amazing new set up I loved it :)
Hi Tracy :) Thank you! Have a great weekend!
Hello. What kind of fishes can i add to a shrimp planted bowl ?
I don't have the experience with bowls. Fish options are very limited, but maybe Chili Rasbora? But only if the bowl is really BIG, as they do need some space and should be kept in groups.
Every tank you do has a bunch of really happy otos. How do you keep them so brave? Mine hide behind the hardscape! Perhaps my water is too hard? I watched your otocinclus videos too
Hi, yes I love Otos and put them almost everywhere :P In general I do what I have mentioned in my videos about Otos. But if yours are very shy - I would start from light. It might be to bright for them. Try to lower the light intensity or include a lot of floating plants. If this doesn't help, increase the number of tannins in the water (wood, leaves, cones etc.)
@@AquascapingCube Thanks for the tip! I have some very scraggly salvinia on the surface, just waiting for it to grow out!
Great build
Thank you!
This is so beautiful! I especially love the vallisneria wall in the back. And those fry are just so adorable!
Thank you! 😊
