    I'm so amazed at how effective this is! I've always wanted to learn some type of foreign language, but Korean always stood out for me some reason. Now I think I know why... The language is so simple! Yes, it looks scary to learn when you first look at their language but after knowing how their language came to be and how simple it is, it's pure genius. Also, I've tried many other sites/videos trying to learn Korean, but this one, by far, is the most efficient way to learn Korean.

      I am from North Carolina as well! And yes this is the best korean learning channel out of all the others. Hyungseok you are truly truly amazing. I am someone who likes to study methodically starting with studying from the basics and then building on it as thats the only way to create a strong foundation leading to effective learning outcomes. I was exactly looking for something detailed and thorough like your teaching. This is like a dream come true. Truly thank you for the thorough class! Sarang...ghamsahamnidaa..

    I’m a korean. these lessons explain hangul system exactly. these are the very things what intended by inventors of hangul.
    but most of korean(at least in my generation) didn’t learn hangul through this way. we were taught to memorize simple blocks. but clever kids could realize these principles while they’re memorizing blocks and then could enjoy easy reading and easy writing. no need to memorize simple or complicated blocks any more.
    just memorize and use some simple blocks repeatly, then everyone can realize these principles naturally, but only hard to explain it for the others. because kids are hard to understand the concepts like “vowel”. so they are hard to understand these lessons. these lessons are for well-educated people. but in the time of king sejong, almost people are like kids, uneducated, “what’s the vowel?”. but sejong made this system, people who don’t know complicated verbal concepts could learn hangul. amazing!

    For all the people who wants to pause at a specific time go to "share" under the video, check "Start from" copy the URL, paste it in address bar and press enter and now bookmark that page.
    You've now bookmarked this video at exactly your specific time. There seem to be alot of people leaving a comment with a timeframe only.
    Anyway, this is so incredibly helpful for learning hangeul, i feel like i've come so far in just 2 lessons and i cant wait to see the next!

    Korean is very easy, since I know English and Hindi, there are some words whose exact pronunciation is not in English but those words are very easy for Hindi speakers since every korean words with their exact pronunciation was present in Hindi which I've learned when I was a kid.
    Thanks to you, you've made it easier to learn. 😊😃😃

      Will these videos be able to help me get to a level where I can speak and understand most Korean by the end of it? Will these lessons continue to be free online?

    • @purple3746
      @purple3746  8 лет назад

      Unfortunately it is not possible. There are about 1,500 words and 110 grammar expressions that you should learn at the beginner's level, and then about 3,000 words and 190 grammar expressions at the intermediate level. No RUclips video can cover them all. We just prioritize them and teach what is really necessary and required for you to have good fundamental so that you can go to the next level easy. These RUclips videos are just a part of it.

    Oh my gosh i learnt about batchim through the second way from other videos and it was so much harder to memorize and it just didnt make sense to me bc why would the sound change when its supposed an ‘ch’ or ‘s’ or ‘d’ ect..
    Thank u SO SO MUCH I appreciate your work,
    after finding your channel and learning thro the first way, the concept of batchim is so much easier to understand and grasp, its alot easier to memorize and makes alot more sense when the final sound is actually the final sound in the name of the letter at the end like (D)igue(T )
    Again thank you, you helped clarify so many questions i had. ✊🏻🙏

      Yes, you are right. The consonant 'ㄹ' is closer to [L] rather than [R]. We've mentioned something about it in Lesson 2.1.
