I totally agree it tells u how long the video will take and I really feel if u wanta quick video on how to do something quick then perhaps not watch a video that says 50mins or more. I want watch and hear your thoughts and processes along the way too coz u were going to ff in another video and u had something that happened and u didn't expect to happen, as they do and we got to see how u fixed it and we wouldn't of got that if u ffd. So I'm glad u let it run and it was while u were mixing . So ffd guys coz there are people out there that want to hear the thoughts etc too.
Can’t believe people get annoyed. That makes no sense. Do they realize that they have a choice? I look at x2 speed sometimes if I just want to see and not hear. The thing is that we have a choice. Have to say she is super creative. I just look for fun😊😊
The bubbles do look like tiny seed pearls or beads, so pretty, makes me want to have a go at doing these, even though I probably wouldn't be very good at it, I am an oil painter usually... I wonder if these could be painted on?. 🤔
Gold, pink, gold, pink, gold, pink!!! Oh Julie, these turned out absolutely gorgeous and you don’t know how much I needed this video tonight!! Your an amazing artist and when something you put together like this goes right, it shows!! Thank you for sharing with us and letting us be a part of your world:-)
Hi, I love these coasters, they are beautiful. The bubbles on my screen look like pearls, in my opinion, it adds to it, it's like someone has just dropped a few pearls onto a satin pillow. The colours are just amazing. Many thanks for sharing.
Also! If you try these again, try dipping a q-tip in alcohol and clean mica off the tips of the bumps in the clear resin and when you flip your coasters those tips will be the bottoms of the wavey parts with the black showing through. That should help you get your separation in colors you were looking for :)
They are so pretty. If you spray some alcohol on your plastic ( the side you would put in the resin ) you won't get bubbles. If you are done with the mica turn your mold upside down then the excess mica will come out if you do it on a piece of paper you can pour it back in its jar.
It was very late at night when I saw this. I was so captivated by the beauty of these. The depth was incredible. Thank you so much for all you do. I watch all the time.
I dont do anything like this and do not intend to, however I love watching your channel and all the beautiful things you make. Thank you and sending best wishes from England. Susan Dalton
Hi, thank you for introducing these great ideas and making your work useful and inspiring to many beginner artists around the world, a fan from Saudi Arabia
❤ So very gorgeous. They really do look like satin and the instrutions were very clear.. I like that you are experimenting as we would be doing and you show how to take care of problems. Thank you. M in USA NH
the first time I did this the resin came out the sides, so time I waited a few hours for the resin to set, and then I placed the plastic on top and they worked out great
to get the effect, when brushing on your powder, only put it in the crevices. The crevices when you're working becomes the peaks when you're viewing it from the other side. That keeps your working peaks bare of any powder in order to show black in the view-side crevices. It takes time to get that affect, and a practiced hand. Really loving these colors though. And the bubbles??? See them as pearls on silk.
I am new to resin pours and I am having a blast with it. I just made a set of coasters using the plastic wrap method with my chrome nail powders. I made them.for a giveaway for my jewelry business. They were a huge success. Thank you for your tutorials.
A suggestion for the plastic wrap- I've seen colored wrap, usually around Easter but I think you can find it year-round. It may make it easier to find all the broken bits left in the resin when you take it off?
You can use iridescent cellophane to create a similar effect. And you'll only need clear resin! You can still paint the back black for a completely different color show.
Oh WOW Julie. This process is so amazing. Thank you for sharing the technique with us. I am going to try it tomorrow on a small coaster first. I'm nervous, but I will try. LOL.
You: “Shut the front door!” Me: “And... I’m subscribing!” 😍 These turned out so beautiful. Also, your voice is so lovely & upbeat & you had such a great personality about the whole thing that I found myself wishing the video was longer. Found you randomly & I’m really glad I did.
You could make a mold of them before you use the Mika powder so that You you can just re-pour and not have the plastic to pick out in the second pouring correct? I would love to see you make some jewelry with this same affect?
That pendant looks like a piece of reticulated dichroic glass. Sometimes it’s called crinkled dichro. There is a thin layer of metal oxides and quartz crystals on the surface of the glass. When the piece is fired the glass layer will expand and crackle the surface layer.
I have really been enjoying your videos and creativity. I love your spirit! Thank you for taking the time to share your resin adventures with us and for teaching us the ropes! I'm brand new at this and HOOKED :D
A little tip for you, especially when filming, double, or even triple up, the gloves you're wearing. It's far easier to remove a glove than trying to put on new ones, especially if your hands are sweaty.
I'm trying to do this on a flat surface instead of in a mold. I hope it turns out well! I loved watching you work these pieces, and I even showed my husband. I've been thinking about resining a desk, and I think this would look really cool for that.
They turned out beautiful! Even those small bubbles inside look fascinating, like a precios spheres. I wonder if you use various pigments on the same thing, how would it look? Also... what if you use opaque white background instead of black? I think it might also look pretty!
You can buy what is called Angel Paper (I use it on nails) from AliExpress or eBay which is probably what was ued in the pendant - just cut it into the irregular shapes. Also just use a big blusher brush or similar big fluffy face powder brush to brush the excess mica powder off.
The colourful part of the pendant might’ve been made using a laminator and some iridescent foils on clear plastic with the pattern printed on it. There’s this girl called Sweet Art Crafts here on YT who uses this method to make clear holographic stickers and resin inserts.
Just a tip. I make a lot of stuff where I paint in micas before pouring resin. A little bit goes a loooong way and I've found if you leave too much powder in cracks or folds, the resin has a harder time getting in there all the way and you'll see cracks and/or holes in the dried resin. I love this technique! Thank you for sharing with us!
12:31 when you hold something up to the camera, please hold your hand still for at least 5 seconds. I always have to pause the video when you're showing something up close because the constant movement makes it impossible to really focus on the piece. I know you're moving the piece to show how light reflects, as well as the dimension of the piece but seriously, 5 seconds of being still would be great. I normally don't have an extra 30 minutes in my day to spend watching a video about one project so a 1 HOUR video on one project, and still having to pause to see the piece ... Anyway, 5 seconds of being still would be great. Thanks
Sorry have to say why no latex gloves on your hands? Epoxy will harm your skin non toxic or not, Safety first people safety first:>) Beautiful art though best wishes from Canada 2021. Magic Resin is very good it offers zero VOC rating No fumes.
I’m a card maker but watching you create make me want to try my hand working with resin. Learning is what makes life so interesting. Those are BEAUTIFUL. I REALLY want to work with resin now.
Loved this project Claire. Just playing around with silicone inlays after being inspired by one of your previous videos and loving it. Have made a heap of inlays and so far had no trouble pouring silicone into silicone moulds. Thank you for continuing to inspire me. ❤
So you need one of those little froth mixers. They are tiny little electric stirrers that make froth for coffee. It’s like a tiny version of my stick blender for my soap batter. That would help really disperse your color into your resin or whatever. You may need to get a little powerful one because of how thick that stuff is, but I think it will help. Some soapers use those to help disperse mica into soap batter
The pendant looks like they have but a base layer of clear resin and allowed that to cure enough to allow tiny cut up pieces of that iridescent plastic stuff to stick to the tacky resin and then covered with black resin. Looks pink but changes colour with a darker background, like the chameleon micas. Love how urs came out too. xxx
I don’t know why people get annoyed if it takes longer than they’d like. They can just ff if they need to. You’re fantastic!
I totally agree it tells u how long the video will take and I really feel if u wanta quick video on how to do something quick then perhaps not watch a video that says 50mins or more. These are GORGEOUS!!! I don't even mind the bubbles - they look like tiny pearls. Please make more !
I agree 😁 I like the bubbles....they do look like pearls 😁😁
The bubbles do look like tiny seed pearls or beads, so pretty, makes me want to have a go at doing these, even though I probably wouldn't be very good at it, I am an oil painter usually... I wonder if these could be painted on?. 🤔

The bubbles: "Yeah, I'm free, I'm free!" 😂😂😂😂😂
I love your work and am binge-watching even your older videos. Thank you! ❤
the pendant you used for inspiration looks like kiln fused dichroic glass with a clear top and black backing. I work with glass.
When she flipped the first one over, i nearly fell out my chair!!! I was in awe😭😭😭😍😍😍😍
Hi, I love these coasters, they are beautiful. The bubbles on my screen look like pearls, in my opinion, it adds to it, it's like someone has just dropped a few pearls onto a satin pillow. The colours are just amazing. Many thanks for sharing.
The bubbles are fun, they sit in the creases like pearls nestling in there
Also! I love your experimentation! Please share more of your experiments because we all learn something.

I was thinking the same thing about the alcohol.
Maybe I can send you some of the "Let's Resin" if you like, I'm in the United States
I love watching your videos! You are my favorite when it comes to resin. The only channel I watch! These are absolutely beautiful!
Now this is SIMPLY STUNNING. Well done Julie. I’m going to copy you. It’s the best compliment I could pay you!
They are so cool! But not one I'm willing to try for a long time! I love how excited you get!
Simply beautiful! And I love the bubbles too - absolutely looks like little colored pearls.
From the camera, the dust looks like stars on a sky of black. They are so beautiful!❤
These turned out so beautiful!!!! The bubbles don’t matter, they just add to the velvety multi dimensional effect.
Actually might look super cool to try and get a bunch of bubbles!
It was very late at night when I saw this. I was so captivated by the beauty of these. The depth was incredible. Thank you so much for all you do. I watch all the time.

The pendant looks like it could be fused dichroic glass. The tutorial is awesome, the coasters turned out spectacular!
Love love love these! My most favorite is the shimmery blue❣
A suggestion for the plastic wrap- I've seen colored wrap, usually around Easter but I think you can find it year-round. It may make it easier to find all the broken bits left in the resin when you take it off?
I really like these. Do more of them. Jewelry bonanza! Great with beads.
You can use iridescent cellophane to create a similar effect. And you'll only need clear resin! You can still paint the back black for a completely different color show.
Yes, I've seen that
That's exactly what I thought as well with the pendant but this plastic wrap is really cool
I like those coasters.
Would foil work on those fo the crinkles?
@@theresahitchcock860 I wonder if foil would stick to the resin more as it dries? Not sure
Can you see cling film do get this look ??
Sos una genia, veo todos tus videos, porque no hay desperdicio, toda tu información es útil y original.
I love all of the colors! And no, I wouldn't mind seeing another video using this same technique! 💜 Beautiful work!
'll al3a23🙋😨🙋
I like the way the pigment powder looks on the back... like little galaxies. :)
Oh WOW Julie. This process is so amazing. Thank you for sharing the technique with us. I am going to try it tomorrow on a small coaster first. I'm nervous, but I will try. LOL.
They are awesome 🎉❤all the colours are magnificent 😍 👌

Beautiful!! I love the way this came out!! Thanks for sharing.
You might be able to do aluminum foil with mold release and see if it releases better
😮
I live in Arizona if you live closer I'd be at your house everyday learning from you. All your work is beautiful

Julie, I love your videos. Not only do you educate me but you also entertain me. I know that my spirit will be lifted when I watch you.
A little tip for you, especially when filming, double, or even triple up, the gloves you're wearing.
It's far easier to remove a glove than trying to put on new ones, especially if your hands are sweaty.
Use just a little baby powder dusted on your hands....or powder lined gloves. ?🤷
Not only is a BEAUTIFUL work!!! But you are a lovely person omg such unique vibes 🥺❣
These are so beautiful. I didn't even notice the bubbles til u pointed them out. Absolutely love them.
I'm trying to do this on a flat surface instead of in a mold. I hope it turns out well! I loved watching you work these pieces, and I even showed my husband. I've been thinking about resining a desk, and I think this would look really cool for that.
JUST HEARING YOUR VOICE IS A JOY LOVE THIS

Even those small bubbles inside look fascinating, like a precios spheres.
I wonder if you use various pigments on the same thing, how would it look?
Also... what if you use opaque white background instead of black? I think it might also look pretty!
Or perhaps a mirror paint
The glamour shots at the end were Lovely, doll
These turned out absolutely gorgeous! Great job. I’m wondering how these would look with holographic cellophane, I might have to give it a try.

My powder wasnt really sticking to the resin
I do think they used iridescent flakies in pendant suspended in the clear resin then black for back.
Having used flakes in pendants, I think the one shown here was made with one piece crinkled - it is a different effect to the flakes.
Those turned out spectacular !!!
Personally, I like the bubbles in there...they look like antique pearls!
12:54 "if anyone knows".
It's probably polymer clay that was domed with resin.
Inserted shards of dichroic glass by the looks.
Wow beautiful. You couldn't buy something so special! Very nice I like how you made the " ruffles" in it.
12:31 when you hold something up to the camera, please hold your hand still for at least 5 seconds. The work is beautiful, it really is, but moreover, you are so lovely with such a sweet temperament, it’s a joy to watch x
Feedback: Would be great if you edited out the vast amounts of irrelevant footage.
I agree but then the artist is sitting there editing videos instead of creating content. We can fast forward much easier.
I really like seeing it all.
😍Wow is right💗 Love all the colors! 😍
@51:00 in, a genuine, experienced, well patina'd Maker crafter sink. I love it!
Outstanding performance beautiful well done ty for sharing
I think they are all beautiful as they are and the bubbles look like little pearls or beads so they add detail so I like them as well
Spectacular! My 4 yr. old granddaughter loves them and she loves your name.
The unfolding day, they looked like galaxies!
They turned out amazing
Thanks!
I’m a card maker but watching you create make me want to try my hand working with resin. Learning is what makes life so interesting. Those are BEAUTIFUL. I REALLY want to work with resin now.

The bubbles look like pearls.
I love the way it looks
I just did this technique using Uv resin and a small pendant mold and it totally works and I cant wait to try different shapes and colors.
Wow great idea here, turned out beautiful.. Thanks for sharing with us.
These look Amazing ! Beautiful technique
Bubbles in purple one looks like pearls
These are gorgeous! I even like the floating mica powders on the back -- they look like a starfield. But the front side steals the show!
Love the colours and the efdect. Im definitely going to try this . PLEASE show another video.
ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS SPECTACULAR
These coasters are breathtaking. I have to try this technique.
Wow wow wow I adore these all of them couldn’t pick a favourite x
Absolutely gorgeous.. Trying this today
Bonsoir. Bravo pour cette superbe idée si simple et efficace
I love the effect on both sides

Yes thats what I think it is too. I saved some iridescent sheets from a bath bomb and cut it up really tiny with scissors which took me ages.
Crushed velvet...so pretty!
Gorgeous! Really beautiful! Thank you for sharing this and all your videos!
