I just recently Learned That Oswald Was Disney's Original Mickey Mouse Before Mickey Actually Filled in for him.
That’s what I love about Epic Mickey, it helped to bring Oswald back into the public eye

I wouldn't say that Mickey replaced him, remember that Charles Mintz was responsible for what happened to Oswald in those years.
And also, the first character in all of Disney was Julius the cat.
In the last one he`s like "Hell yeah, can`t wait to see Mickey....once I figure out how to break free."
It's cute how he reacts to the fence like there's a barrier and he get's an electric shock.

I have to say it warms my heart seeing stuff like this. Thanks to epic Mickey I was able to know about the lucky rabbit. Ever since I’ve grown a fascination for the little rabbit. Even though he may be forgotten he will forever hold a special place in Disney fans hearts. While epic Mickey did have issues I still enjoy the games and have to give them credit for showing a whole new generation the true Disney original. Let’s hope we can truly get lucky and see more!

Agreed, it's a shame people still think that, but I think most people just don't know it better. A show would be nice and there is one rumored for Disney + but it hasn't been confirmed yet and could possibly not happen...

Just once, I'd like to meet Oswald with my sister. She loves him, and it would be so cute to see her interact with him (even though we both know it's just a costume). We love the Epic Mickey series, and we've seen each other in both Mickey and Oswald (though I'm the older sister and she's the youngest, she's similar to Oswald in personality).

It's truly magical seeing how Oswald interacts with guests, he's even got that cute smile going on. Quite a shame that he probably doesn't show up as much as he used to.

If he returns to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse revival, he should be introduced as a trolley driver, since that's how we were introduced to Oswald. I bet the little ones will get it in the future.
I’m just happy that Oswald gets some recognition. It’s great to know that he’s still around and who knows. Maybe we could see him in a future Mickey Mouse Short as a fully voice acted character. He’s had cameos in the show, so why not join Mickey on his adventures? But that’s just my opinion. What do you guys think?

There was a time when the lucky rabbit was forgotten. Then I found this channel and I can't help but smile at all the people supporting their favorite character
Come on Disney, give Oswald more movies and tv shows. Also give Oswald him more merchandise and more rides. Even make part of Mickey mouse and his friends. An him in the Mickey mouse cartoons.
That would be great for him! He deserves to be a part of Mickey and Friends or at least his own new series.

To be honest in the year 2013 it was I heard about Oswald when I played epic mickey and I am really happy is legacy is still continuing to this day.

When I last went to the Disneyland's California Adventure around October 2019 I was informed that he no longer does meet and greets in the park. Can someone confirm if this is still true. My hope was that with the cartoon coming out and him (hopefully) making some kin of appearance in Mickey and Minnie's runaway railway (if he's not it will be a missed opportunity) that he'd be getting MORE shine...not less. Iger promised me more Oswald after his 90th anniversary. Where is it???

@@oswaldtheluckyrabbitsuppor5929 He is being featured in the other parks such as Tokyo and Paris. On the international scene he's a bit more recognizable. Case in point, at the international parks, other characters besides Disney and even outside of the brand are also featured. Its a different market internationally. Whereas in the States, Oswald hasn't been marketed and Disney is in a bit of big issue with Oswald, because of Mickey. Given Mickey's worldwide status and success, Oswald by comparison makes Mickey look bad and Mickey is also crippling Oswald. Neither character is uplifting the other from a market prespective. Any layman that even knows a little bit about Oswald, will automatically get the picture in their minds that Mickey and Oswald cannot be friends in this environment. What will be required will be a change in how Disney brands both characters in order for them to be friends. And Mickey has to be part of that, like it or not. Disney corporate is backed into a corner with that issue. Oswald has basically checkmated Disney Corporate, and I love it.

I like to think of oswald as the older brother to mickey, mentoring him from the sidelines.
Afterall, from creation to now oswald is 95, a year older than mickey.

Mickey had no intentions of replacing in the first place since he didn't even know he had a half brother. The only person who should take the blame is the thief who stole Oswald from Walt.
@@kittenpaws8896 Yeah, the blame goes on Charles Mintz who had Walt's employess sign contracts behind his back and made an offer that Walt couldn't agree with during a renewal which lead to Walt Disney stepping down from producing Oswald cartoons sadly. Mickey Mouse is kinda a replacement in a way since Walt Disney was no longer able to make Oswald cartoons and needed to come up with something to present as soon as possible.
