In a non-comparison to "Smooth", it's a really good song. But, in comparison, it doesn't have the "hook" that a hit song needs as with their 1999 collaboration.
I agree it doesn't have the hook of smooth but a tumbs down no thumbs up.
@@markweller7358 It may be one of those songs that requires multiple listens. I think a lot also has to do with that Carlos is STILL recording and performing especially in recent years with other 60's musicians either retiring or worse, dying.

I've been a Rob Thomas fan since the 1990s and I must say, "what a great song this is with Carlos's amazing guitar magic"! It's so catchy! However, I feel it would have been pure perfection if the auto-tune wasn't added to Rob's natural sounding vocals. Could a non auto-tune version of this be recorded?

So sad to hear Carlos Santana on this terrible song. When did his "divine' inspiration sell out for the sake of money! Not saying he shouldn't have hit records and make money... this just is a terrible, terrible, song.
