    what was the problem?? my 2016accent have some problem that the AC would not blow cold air until I raise the rpm up to 1.5k or 2k then the compressor start to blown cold air

  • @piercejohnstevens2038
    @piercejohnstevens2038 Год назад +1

    Will this work for me? There is a delay before the AC blows cold, it blows warm air in the start then after I drive it for about 5-10 mins it starts to blow cold air

    • @davetravels9273
      @davetravels9273 Год назад

      Mine does the same. Likely the clutch pack on the compressor is bad but you might as well replace the compressor expansion valve and drier filter since one of those will break soon anyways. It’s about $400 in parts if you order online. Then about $500-$800 in labor.

      @@davetravels9273 Thanks, what do you mean by clutch pack? My compressor has just been recently replaced and I believe these models are clutchless?

    I have been using my heat in the rare period of time in Arizona when it is cooler but when I tried to go back to using my AC in the afternoons when it heats up my AC isn’t cool, it’s just blowing ambient temperature. Do you think this will fix this?

    • @ryanscot7445
      @ryanscot7445  Год назад

      I realize you may have checked this but this particular vehicle needs to be topped out on 134a. Not sure why but at first I had 30 psi and I still added 10 more and it made a big difference (before realizing it was the thermistor). But too much will cause damage and/or injury so I suggest using a mechanic or someone at least Type 1 certified with the EPA.

      Disclaimer, I am not a pro nor a mechanic. I will not advise you to add 134-a yourself. So with that in mind, I have found that you have to get the 134-a to the max psi (low side) as possible. My example is that I had measured 30 psi originally... but later learned that was not enough... but then I added more until I reached 35, and it made a BIG difference. It's like the hyundai system is very sensitive like that (unlike other cars or even a refrigerator). In all, get your 134-a psi to the max recommended for your car. There may be a chart that would say something like "35 psi at 70 degrees outside".
