    What are some ways you like to decorate your Christmas cakes?
    Note at 11:20 when I mentioned 'glue', I was referring to edible icing glue 😊

    Your cake looks beautiful! Fondant can be tricky to work with, but it can give such wonderful effects. Some of the things I've used to disguise horrible dents, tears, or gouges in my fondant cakes: brush embroidery, or painting, texturing like wood grain, cobblestones, animal fur, or water, a bouquet of sugarpaste flowers. The possibilities are endless!

      Thanks. It sure can be tricky at times, but you're so right it can give wonderful effects. Great ideas for covering blemishes too!!

    Such an elegant looking cake. Not a lover of fondant though, but will use your tips and tricks for my other cakes.

      It's funny, lots of people don't like fondant. I love the look of it, but don't like eating too much of it.

    Can you use this technique for a square cake?

    • @EasyPeasyKitchen
      @EasyPeasyKitchen  11 месяцев назад

      Yes, you sure can. You might choose to do the 4 almond side panels as separate pieces to get a more square edge though, rather than a single strip going all the way around.
