An Overview of Actions | A No Code App Builder Tutorial

- Today we’re talking all about actions in our no-code app! Actions are what makes your app work. Whether you’d like users to move from one screen to another with ease or you’d like to capture information - actions are the vehicle to do so!
As a reminder, Adalo is a no-code tool that enables everyone to create apps without coding. With Adalo, you can make an app that you can publish to the app stores (yes - both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store!), and you can also publish that same app to a custom domain. For today’s businesses, apps are a vital part of running a business and remaining competitive, but what you need might not always be available in the market. That’s where Adalo comes in! You can build the app that is most ideally suited to exactly what your business needs to grow and thrive.
Alright - back to Actions. When making your no-code app, actions signify that an event is taking place - most likely a click. Where you place your actions will help inform the user experience.

I so appreciate the updated tutorial videos, so many of the RUclips videos are 2 or 3 years old. You do a really good job explaining in detail the content. Your pace is really good, not too fast.
Thank you, I appreciate it!
Stayed tuned. I'm hoping to get more videos out soon.
Is there anything you'd like to see a video on?
What happened to linking to the video about custom actions?
It would be great to have a service template that looks like this
Thanks for the suggestions!
Have you checked out our feature templates?
What about actions when a person leaves the screen?
Unfortunately, we don't have actions for that right now!
However, you could potentially make an "in between screen" (like a loading screen) that triggers the action you want to happen when someone leaves the previous screen... then use something like the countdown timer to trigger the user to go to the next screen!
