Whelen Vortex sounds awesome! It's great to see an aerial view of Merrillville, IN!! The last time I was to Merrillville, IN was years ago!!!
Wow amazing catch guys! Wish I were there to see it 👍
idk why but i like these sounding whelens
I wonder what type of activation tones those are, they sound pretty cool, and Nice Video! I wish you goodluck on getting to 5k, your almost there
A finback, dang
Don’t tell me Lake County is pulling a Jackson County. Seems like their test signal is always different.
Where is the finback located and address
I like the POCSAG activation!
I have always wondered, what are the fins on the vortex for?
Supposedly, if the rotator breaks, it allows the siren to rotate in the wind
@@seanjuth Why would it need to do that?
@@HappyJigg because the siren shoots sound in the direction it's pointing, it rotates to send the sound in all directions
It's there for aerodynamics. These older Vortexes are belt driven. The fin does nothing for rotation but rather helps balance it out. The newer gear driven rotor Vortexes don't require these fins.
Awesome Video!
Nice old catch!
The fins are just so redundant. If the rotator died, I doubt that tiny little fin would be able to rotate a siren
Hot
Awesome
I life the finback!
Yay, a finback!
Motorola FSK ew
