Spirit Airlines Trip Report: Evacuating Irma! (MCO-BWI on N645NK)

With the reports of hurricane Irma threatening much of Florida, we decided to evacuate and go home. Unfortunately, every airline leaving South Florida was either fully booked or super expensive in the days leading up to the massive storm. However, Spirit Airlines was there to save the day by offering a $50 flight from Orlando to Baltimore! We booked, and just about 20 hours later, we were on our way! We flew on A320, N645NK up to BWI.

Yeah it was pretty weird. One of the busiest travel days I've ever gone through an airport with everyone trying to catch a flight out. Virgin Atlantic and Thomas Cook had people lining up out the doors trying to change their flights and get back home from their holidays.
