I don't get it, there are so many talentless none musicians that became famous by talking about smacking up a gardening tool but yet a real musician with real talent like Jess is not world famous! There is something seriously wrong with the music industry nowadays! Jess you deserve and I wish you all the success in the world!
Music industry doesn't work like that
The idea that the music industry will find you is a myth. You have to market yourself.
Think about this for a second, are all the BEST guitarists and BEST Rock and Metal groups in Los Angeles? No! There are decent ones though, and the record companies A/R guys live out there so that’s where all those bands were “found” (Van Halen, Motley Crue, Guns N’ Roses, etc.) The record company guys picked what was sitting in their own back yard rather than travel all over America. Bottom line, the music industry won’t “find” you. You have to aggressively market yourself!
Do you guys actually realize that she's not using any mics that could alter her voice? Everything that she's doing is all natural. Great job Jess!

Victor Del Prete mentioned she recorded with the mic on the device she was using to record the video. Well duh! I believe the comments were leaning toward the fact that a better recording device could have been used. My guess is what we are seeing is a cell phone video or perhaps a digital camera video. She needs to learn how to mix in a different soundtrack. There is lots of software that will let you do it. A quality microphone and it would really improve the product. Cheap mics such as those in phones and cams have no dynamic range and with a singer, loss of dynamic range means loss of a lot of what the singer is offering up. It is a shame to lose that.
