The real head turner on the circuit though was always the Suzuki RGV 125 And the Honda NSR 125 was real baby CbR with great handling and a bomb proof engine
The RG 125 had a serious power valve issue with its design the way the exhaust port was designed the piston has a habit of hitting the power valve and it snapping off and going into the cylinder. Many people have been seriously hurt or even worse by this problem. I nearly got seriously hurt when my engine locked up causing the rear tyre lock up at 70 MPH luckily I’m an experienced rider and I quickly pulled my clutch in which saved my life. I think that Aprilia Tuareg and rally versions should be here ✌️
Those would have fit in perfectly indeed!
very nice 2 stroke sports bike, i never seen that before, thanks for sharing
The Gilera CX125 is my personal favourite 125. Expensive to maintain for what it is and for obvious reasons. More fun than any Japanese bike of the same category.
Funny how you mentioned that the KMX125 was the most stolen bike in the UK! I thought it was probably the RD350LC! Shame you didn't show an RG 125 Gamma mk1.. Anyway nice video :]]
Because the Rg 125 gamma mk1 is ridiculously ugly and unpopular
Imagine that there are conversion kits for the Cagiva Mito that allow the Yamaha RD350 YPVS engine to fit.
Someone over here fitted a DT125R with an heavily tuned TZR 250 twin cylinder engine. It's a beast! Search it on RUclips. If you type 'dtr 250', it's the first video.
🤤
SSsacas, that DTR 250 is from Portugal. Awesome project. 👌
@@valtersantos5466 I know, I'm portuguese...
SSsacas, I'm Portuguese aswell. 😉
I previously owned a 1995 honda RS125 moto3 category GP bike! A 125cc 2stroke racebike bike that easily beats a regular consumer 250cc street bike in its time.
Not so popular in Europe but I've been living in Thailand for a year and have a Kawasaki GTO 125, amazing fun, great wee bike
I personally love 2 strokes I have 4 of em currently and used to own more! GasGas ec 250, aprilia sx 80, cagiva mito sp525, ktm lc2 125, ktm 360 exc to name a few :) In my opinion the cagiva mito sp525 (mv agusta) varient is the best looking mito. Great content legend!
❤the tzr really stood out for one thing the only 125 to have triple disc brakes no other had that as standard 👍😆🥴
Had a aprilia extrema with rectangular headlamp. Was an italian import with 34hp. I was the King at age of 16/17 with it, even it was power reduced (most times) due to be street legal for a teen 😄
personally i had a AR 125, RD 125 LC MK3 and RSX 100 in my younger years :)
You don't even tell him about the cool drive plate clutch, 7 speed transmission, and a sub 300 lb wet weight. A delightful ensemble.
I'd have thought I'd died and gone to heaven, if I had one of these when I was
just starting out!
Some of the modern stuff now, looks great, but the prices are bonkers!
Italian bike the best 🏆🥇
Bah they’re the most expensive for parts and are the worst for reliability! They are the fastest and best looking though
I had a Rd125lc micron bored out changed sprockets induction reeds full fairing the thing was a little pocket rocket black with white wheels good for 110+ when on the tank would do wheelies in second used to run it on synthetic oil which smells good
Mito-ról Magyar videó :D
The most powerful in my experience was a Gilera Cx125 after i have tuned it , because it had the biggest potential for power increasing. Thanks for the video.
love it, im 16 and ive got a kmx, lots of fun and plenty fast
The Rd 125 seems to be snappy.
The bike that went 160!
Was impressive extremely
Cool change in content
Wanna talk about the most powerful 125cc 4 strokes next?
He's done that
I have a video like that on my channel already.
There aren't any :)
No 125 4 stroke has power, 125 2 stroke from 20 yrs ago eats best 125 4 stroke ever made and more fun. 4 strokes suck until ypu get into 600 to 1000 cc 4 cylinders. No small 4 stroke can keep up with 2 stroke half its ccs
Gilera MX1, SP 01 and of course SP02
The RG 125 had a power valve issue with its design the way the exhaust port was designed the piston has a habit of hitting the power valve and it snapping off and going into the cylinder. Many people have been seriously hurt or even worse by this problem. I nearly got seriously hurt when my engine locked up causing the rear tyre lock up at 70 MPH luckily I’m an experienced rider and I quickly pulled my clutch in which saved my life. The RGs were scary bikes for that reason.
I had a rg 125 highly tuned full chrome micron exhaust racing reeds up jetted carb cone air filter etc. Etc with dream machine Kevin swantz paint job. Faster than my bros gsxr 400 import. And down the twisty lanes to work I raced a kawa 750 no fairing 80s bike omg that dude hated me loool
Honda CRM125,my bike 27 years in use
Yes sir. Got a 1996 JD10 & finally restored it last year. Sadly, one of the previous owners decided it would be a good idea to paint the bike in KTM Orange. Then again, it was the perfect canvas for doing something "different", but still HONDA. So i powdercoated the tank in blood orange to match the new plastics in R-119 Flash Red and got a bright blue seat. Rounded out with yellow number plates & black rims. She looks like a little XR 600R now. Love it. Rides so well, still.
Hey legend. Would you suggest us buying ANY of these bikes? Are they all reliable? Whats the best from the list in your opinion? What would you get?
Νικος ΒΠ I’ve got a 2013 rs 125 very last 2 stroke model. It’s a great bike also got a ktm 125xcw that’s even better :)
@@rosselliott7375 daaamn bro you a lucky man. Im 15. Will turn 16 in the summer. I want the rs50 2019 model. But i have every1 saying that it will be a useless as a bike. What your opinion on it?
Νικος ΒΠ Man, im riding a rs 125 from 1999. Im sorry to say, but the new 2 strokes are shitty (Less power than the old ones) f. E. My rs got 34 ps, the new ones got 28 I think. So if you wan to ride your rs 50 longer than just until you are allowed to drive a 125cc + it’s okay, but if you want to get it as a permanent Bike, it’s not a very good idea. My Tipp: Don’t waist your money for a new rs 50. Buy a used old rs 50 and use your money for a big motorcycle. I’ve rode a old rs 50 and after about a minute, I was going 100 km/h (60 mph). Hope you’ll read this buddy :) if you got any questions feel free to ask

In 1968 Yamaha had the YAS-1. Predecessor to the RD 125. 15 Hp but the most wonderful exhaust crackle.. Around the same time Suzuki had a lovely looking 125 twin with upswept exhausts.
yes it was called the stinger
Denmark - Aprilia SX 125 2 stroke

aprillia rs125 still my choice to ride easily topped at 180kmh...funx5!!!
De cagiva mito is mijn favoriet omdat ik toen ik 16 was de cagiva prima 50cc had🙏🏻
The mk1 cagiva mitos (7 speed) were the best out of all the 2 stroke 125’s a legit 115mph when fully derestricted Aprilia rs125 could only manage 105mph
My 2009 rs can get around 120
“Only”, anyway isnt true
Rs is always known as the fastest,
Mito as the handlest
With polini 160 u can reach 190 km/h
Rs250 reaches 210 km/h
@@aaronrockefeller5077 I’ve ridden both was a mechanic at a Aprillia dealership and they won’t do no more than a 105 unless you changed the gearing, it’s the 7th gear on the mitos that gave them the edge, the 6 speed mitos were shite in comparison to the 7 speeds
We had a rs125 with the 180 polini kit we got in from Spain and my god that was just as quick acceleration as a rs250 if not better.
I own a 1998 Yamaha Rx 135 its a fun vehicle ♥️😁
Was a pleasure to wach.
Thank you!
Why in the beginning a gilera crono SP01 and after that you dont show it ? And what about the GFR125? 😉
Nice Video!!! Regards from Spain!
Thank you!
absolutly superb thank you
Some of those aprilia and Gilera full power models have nearly 30bhp rare as rocking horse shit now
Ktm exc with 150cc kit 40hp
Gilera kk, Cagiva Freccia c9-c10-c13, Aprilia Futura etc The 80 Italian two stroke are the best.
Cagiva looked like a Ducati but my aprilia rs left them standing back In year 2000
U sure? hahahahahahaha
In ur dreams maybe
No fact
Good joke, but not true
@@crackoida9938 Aren't they kind of similar with the rs125 from Aprilia being slightly faster??
I've got a nice 2001 nsr 125 derestricted it's awsome
I love the Husky.
Hey Legend, was the Aprilia's speedo in km/h or mph?
Mines in mph
Awesome dude
Thank you!
Also the Aprilia AF1 Project 108 Is a good bike but the Cagiva Mito Is the best
Can you tell me your opinion about Suzuki TS 125X 1984
In a nutshell it will outlast any of these shown.
This is were the new 4stroke electric start aint as good granted needed as todays traffic flows overload but these 2stroke bikes were very sought after the mk1 yamaha rdlc 125 was my experience mead speed bump seat allspeed exhaust 33kw very handy bike in its era extremely popular the others are here mainly a bit later more faired up id say better aerodynamics but great selection
Che belle moto che c'erano una volta☺️
Honda nsr 125 clearly the best
Yes.
The NSR was always slower than the TZR YPVS
Cagiva mito best of the best 👌
i own kmx125 2001 model and runs good till now.
Very interesting video, something shocking however, no gloves for 3 riders ? 😱 Dangerous isn't it ?
Yamaha forever! 😁
What's the first thing you do if you come off you put you hands down if you don't were gloves your have no fingers left just saying safety is a must! Carbon fiber nuckle gloves are the best on the market
Do a review on a good set of gloves man 😂
The only one I woukd buy from this list is the Kawasaki kmx 125. However to me the best 125 bike was the Yamaha Dt125R
It would have been nice with weight and horsepower for all the bikes, just for comparrison. ;o)
Great idea! I will keep this in mind next time I make a similar video!
To be honest, i like the RD 125 the most
Where is DT 125 and EXC 125?
Or kawasaki kdx
dt 125 is very slow compared to these lol
Also xcw is way faster than exc so why bother putting exc on the list
@@joonah7316 Yes, but it was a trail bike not a road racer, having had 1 in '86 and 1000 cc supersports in the 2000's the dt was a very fun capable bike. It was not built to go fast, I thought that was the point of this video, if it was about speed then it wouldn't include any 125cc bike!
@@markrowland6835 But this guy was asking about dt 125 so I just told a few other enduro/supermoto bikes that would absolutely annihiliate them. Comment was not about the video so that neglets your point
More like this!
It’s either a Mito 125 or RS125 depending on which one you owned!
Cagiva mito all the way !!!
Hi , where to start . DT125 LC . TS125X Xl 125 etc
The most iconic has to be the original 125lc, not the tzr, I had one the mk2 in blk, white and red, personally the best was the NSR125 Honda, it went really well, modern 4 strokes are so slow by comparison, with their lawnmower engines...
