i think valorant is now at the same stage as r6s was a couple years ago when ubisoft didnt care about the game (still dont). Valorant is not dying but if riot just doesnt care about the community it is setup to fail in the future.
Fr
"but if riot doesn't care about the community it is setup to fail in the future" LOOOOOL. I swear ya'll are absolutely clueless.
@bpxterry well they sure does not care abt the community cough replay system cough
@@bpxterry if you're gonna call someone "absolutely clueless" at least back up your point with.. literally anything? xd
@@Cristopher.C Stay clueless 😂✌
I doubt it will truly be dead.
New players joining every day and old players returning. Sure some might leave but nah not gonna die
People forgot what dying means.
Look at tf2, it’s been months since their last update and they aren’t dead
@@yorimz8807 Because people love to vent their frustration into the video game itself. None of them seems to realise that a game that is constantly getting updated, and has a stable playerbase is far from being dead
i agree with you. Here is my comment to make youtube think your comment should be seen more. thus encouraging the idea that Valorant is in fact, not dead.
I started playing in january of this year so I'm proof there are new players
They also say that to league and fortnite. Both being the most played games in the whole world. People just take their frustration on the game, because usually these who say that are lacking skill
5:00 “some” he says😂
classic survivorship bias, there are a lot of jumpshot and noscope, but those who miss never got clipped
Competitive games never die. Their community might but the game won't
Omaga strickers?
That's what they mean
actually you might find that its the opposite. Competitive games have a definite end, which is when you become the best player. However, many people quit before they actually reach this. This in essence is why competitive play will always die out compared to timeless games such as minecraft/terraria etc because the defintion of best is what you dream it to be.
If the community dies then the game is functionally dead. The community IS the player base. When an unfavorable meta shift happens or enough controversy people will say the game is dead despite the game actually having a massive player base still. The term is just overused and misused a lot.
this is true. look at cs2 very alive and well with cheaters :)
due to the new clove update, valorant is "Not Dead Yet!"
True, Valorant had some downs, but it's back like it never left
@@PPSzB im assuming you didnt get the clove ability pun
@@minty.official 💀
@@minty.official They literally made their own pun. "Back like i never left!"is literally her ally ult voice line

As a clove main, I don't wanna accept this joke aaaaaaaaaaaah
bro i honestly miss replication and snowball fight also i wish they gave us an option where we can mix up different agent abilities in a custom game, would be fun imo but yeah
Its dying because of the goofy ahh maps
we need more players. i haven't played for two weeks and it is because every comp game I play feels like a chance between who can get the better smurf
I just got back on the game recently(stopped soon after Gekko, started again with Clove) and it can be fun if you let it. Imo it won't die any time soon, especially with there being some good content creators like the fish man
EDIT: I know Valorant getting custom maps is extremely unlikely but it would be my favourite update if it did, I love mapping for fun, creating weird maps in CSGO/2.
Unfortunately community content has just kind of gone out of fashion in the industry. Dropping your game with a map creator just isn’t standard anymore. Hell, Valorant and many other modern FPS games don’t even let you host your own servers. I’d love to see community mapping tools and similar things for the game, but honestly those are mostly just a thing of the past.
It's always funny to me when content creators over-dramatize things and say stuff like " - something - IS DEAD'', or '' - something popular - IS GARBAGE'', I just don't watch these types of videos anymore because those people don't really give an analysis, just their own opinion. Thank you, Mr. Lowlander, for being such a wholesome channel with no drama
Replay systom is obvious however its pretty hard to do so I would also say more changes to custom for content creators or just friendlly gamemodes
4:05 i love how he said teraria
I recently came back to the game due to a friend who kept playing and the esports events (I never stopped watching esport). I’m now having a much more relaxed attitude to comp and really enjoying it!
P.S. love your videos!
its bit surprising that mr lowlander making content like this
omg so early for a lowlander video hyped
imagine if there was a map building system for custom.
The council shall quote this video
Not only I still wanted to play valorant, but its their underatted music and trailers are a Banger as well.
2 days ago i got in a game with mrlowlander and he is actually such a nice and funny guy, but he knows when to be funny and when to focus. Was an honor to play with him. Keep it up man ur content is really good !!
First thing riot shud do is change the map pool its so fckin boringgggg rnnnn
This is how I spent my lunch break :)
That's the main problem with people. They think that if a game is not copying an old popular game then it is not a good game. They just need to understand that every game is good enough on their own, they don't need to add some other game's features to be popular. For example - Counter Strike doesn't need to bring Fortnite-like graphics and fundamentals in their game. Why? Because Counter Strike is best on its own type of category. Just think how weird it will look like if we added Fortnite fundamentals of building and crafting while in a match in Counter Strike. The same is with Valorant. Just think about it, if Valorant copied most of its things from other games, wouldn't it be called a copied game? Then why the hell is everybody shouting that Valorant should be like Counter-Strike, Valorant should be like Fortnite, Valorant should be like this like that. Valorant is good the way it is. If you don't like it, just go and play whatever game you want. Why tell others out loud that you don't like Valo? Just quietly quit it and play some other game.
exactly . take fortnite as an example they lose there identity trying to make the game complete (having almost every feature possible ) . Every game has its own persona and features there is no point trying to copy every trending feature .
ur the only one trying to keep it up for ur content
I would like to return Jett skills as it was 2 years ago, because I started reducing my playing time since they nerf her.
U guys get a patch every other week?
I used to play overwatch and we had to endure a 3 year drought, half the game being canceled, and the ceo being fired for us to get updates once a month.
This game ain't dying
Dunno I think Valorant has the best fundamentals out of any online shooter atm.
- Apex has an cheating and aim assist issue (and isn't even safe to run sometimes).
- CS2 still has a cheating issue and flopped hard with a lack of community features (LOOKING AT YOU COMMUNITY BROWSER).
- Halo Infinite was great at first but receives barely any updates. Campaign was magnificent but they left any momentum they had after not pushing out content for over a year straight (plus movement just feels clunky compared to Halo 3)
- Battlefield 2042 uhhh... yeah...
- The Finals is full of too much random bs and the single weapon limitation is very anti-competitive in a multi team semi-br
- COD has yet to innovate on literally anything and releases a new game way too often. Plus the price tag is atrocious each time
- Siege is starting to see Operator creep and Ubisoft is horrible at balancing them. New player experience is very exhausting since the grind for all the ops are exponentially larger and there's no way to try them out first unlike Valorant.
- Overwatch 2 still sees major balance issues because of how dominant abilities are compared to gunplay. Likewise, character releases are almost always broken at launch (Mauga, Kiriko suzu, Sojourn meta for multiple seasons straight, hell even a little bit of illari too). Don't even get me started on all the higher management decision making they've made on monetizing and expressing the game.
Not even like Valorant is that good. It's just that bar is SO LOW right now for shooters
CS2 has a community browser and by flopping you mean 1.6m daily player yeah it flopped hard
Valorant will always have a place in my heart, whether its dead or not, I'll still play it
Don't care
I honestly just got back to the game and have a lot of time. Last time I played was actually just after the beta ended
„Funny dutch accent“ lol
i dont think its gonna die tbh
I moved from Valorant to The Finals, best decision ever for both my wellbeing and mental health.
*are you sure about that?*
actually its not dying but it should
5 min queue times in the “most common rank” its dying
@@exxellent 5 mins???? what , more like 1-2 mins at max at gold 2
@@Ved-cw7br literally yesterday i had multiple 5 min queue
@@exxellent completely depends on server and rank and time you play , at 3 Am night where I play it can take 4-5 mins , at peak time 9 pm-12 pm takes less than 1-2 mins
if you play an unpopulated server ofcourse it will take long
A think a big issue with Val rn is that we've entered a real heavy meta lock. There are like 8 agents who are just so far and away better than the rest and the lack of agent diversity can make the gameplay loop really bad
Why is it that every time a game gets any sort of player count decline, it's either dead or dying?
valorant is actually booming in china rn, especially with cn servers.
yeah because they have a replay system.
oh and i guess also it just released officially in china but thats not important. replay system
@@KariMusic0116 they dont. There is only a built in recording system that can record highlights,

We Need a map pick and ban System
Valorant won ATG of the year award in Australia both in 2022 and 2023
Tru though, valorant is an incredibly easy game to not play for 2-6 months and come back whenever a cool new character or map drops
We love you mr.lowlander, you probably wont see this but if you do just know you are appreciated by everyone, you bring joy to us with every video you make and you made me get in to valorant, and you are here for me always much love from everyone ❤
Bro the only reason i keep coming back to valorant is when there is a cheating problem in counter strike, and i know a lot of people that do the same, as long as valorant has the better anti cheat it will never die, and its also fresh everytime i come back, new maps and agents that consume my time trying to learn them
people have been saying league is dying since 2015 and it only got bigger, i dont see why that wont be the case for valorant
I think the problem is competitive and we can do three things about it:
- No rank reset after a new act
- Verified phone number
- Reputation system to filter out toxic players
what do you think about that?
i last played the game in 2021 i was diamond 2 peak, rn i start to play again, it has been 2months im on gold 2 now, it was so fun so far, even tho i suck now lmaoo
Nice Vid!
while yeah you can the arguement that valorant isnt statistically dying, i think overall valorant itself has become unenjoyable and unlikable. neglecting fans, rarely adding any content, and the only time riot cares about the game is when they can actually profit off of it. i think if riot fixes all of these key points then valorant (and adds a replay system) then everyone will actually enjoy valorant. nice video funny fish man :D
CS players: boikots their game in hopes of Valve finally fixing it.
Valorant players: man I'm bored. **leaves**
Still good patches would be cool rewards and more would be nice
The reason why I quit personally is the replay system. Game has been out for 4 years and they couldn't bother to implement the number one most requested feature, it's clear they just don't care.
Git good
you didnt quit because of the replay system😂 what a lie to make it sound more dramatic hahaha:D
If they added a replay system it would expose their "Perfect anti cheat" and how terrible their netcode is.
It will die for the low end pc players. In 2021-22 i could record + smoothly play but now it takes a lot of time just to load the game. The only windows 11 restriction will also remove a lot of players
i feel like the pro scene is one of the reasons people arent liking valorant
riot is too focused on making the game insanely balanced so competitive is fair, but theres no casual mode for things like mid-game character swaps
The thing valorant genuinely needs (its not a replay system) is a map maker. Riot cannot make good maps if their lives depended on it.
For minecraft you can just keep your old world and play whenever you feel like it
Of you course you can't say this mr wowwander. This is what your content is all about.
I cant belive people actauly think its dieing when theirs console and mobile coming out soon. thats a big market of players.
I really think it would benefit valorant the most, if there would appear custom gamemodes
4:43 the fund the mentos
I don’t play no more and I’m much happier for it.
i also feel like they should add bot matches so if ur mental is shattered so u can dunk on bots or u just wanna try sum out
10 out of 10 for creative use of cat-in-a-graph!
People don’t know what a dying game looks like.
lets be honest its mr lowlander carrying
They need to reward people more.. like ranked skins and better BP skins.. there are still default weapon "skins" with stickers and glitter on in the BP.. this will be the 3rd BP that I skip..
Honestly, valorant is one of the few games where I actually check the patches and updates regularly (like reading a newspaper).
The patches tend to actually change power levels of characters noticeably enough and it keeps the game more interesting.
What updates in the past months have changed power levels?
Personally I keep coming back for the dailys so I can purchase all the agents
We need a map filter above all
If Counter-Strike and League can survive this long especially with csgo which barely got updates for a long time until cs2 then how can anyone really say that Valorant will die out
One thing that I will always give Riot credit for is that the game ACTUALLY WORKS. Unlike other games that try to fix 1 thing and break 20 others in the process *Cough* *cough* Apex Legends, when Riot drops an update you can be confident that the game will still work normally with minimal bugs and glitches. Also Vanguard is a very solid anti-cheat.
thing is main reason why people say valorant is dying is cause immortal/radiant players arent grinding the game as much anymore an ignore the fact that many people under that still grind
Maybe we could see how not dead valorant is if we had a replay system.
Why are everybody saying replay system when what we need is moving playercards
me personally I left and i came back when clove came so that brought me back...
People like to write postmortem before a game even dies.
They like to enrage 13 years old fans. But on one day they will grow up too.
it really need to change the map rotation system
as a tf2 and paladins player i laugh at people saying that valorant is dying lmao

Ok so personally I started VALORANT before one year and it was really fun for the first 3-4 months (without playing more than 6h/week tho), then it started becoming boring and now I completely lost the fun of the game, and imo if you don’t have fun you shouldn’t play anymore. So I completely stopped playing around a month ago, and started playing other games that I enjoy playing like rocket league or the finals. Although I still follow a bit of the competitive scene and still enjoy some specific valorant content (that’s why I clicked on this video), I don’t think I will ever come back for it as my « main game », maybe one or two games every two months with friends but not consistently.
The outlaw came out in january😅
"Valorant is dying" and "Vanguard is a spyware"
Imo
Val is currently on a player decline *because half the maps are just completely gone from all rotations*
Tell that to siege, the game has been alive for 9 years now, it has it's own ups and mostly downs, but hey it's still here
Some things i would want to see changed: 1. increase OP price again, like a lot (maybe to 6.2k). 2. More regulation like phone number verification, maybe even going as far as limiting accounts to 5 per device. 3. Harsher punishments for beeing afk, punishment increases the more rounds youre afk(maybe -2rr per round afk). 4. Nerf chamber 5. An additional competitive gamemode, however this can wait. 6. The fucking replay system.
hey mr lowlander whats ur crosshair ?
Riot games does 2 Job right and thats:
Low PC friend
Completely F2P games
(and musics are fire as well)
Good animations and cinematic too
"Agents are balanced" Deadlock Mains
yay the funny dutch guy posted
Could you tell how did you create your thumbnail?
It has precise gunplay 😂
i’ve spent too much money on this game to quit it
I unironically think clove revived the game.
My whole friend group took a break between Gekko to Clove and it seems like the entire community as well.
Theyre doing good things with the game again. there’s so many characters now that it feels like everything is new.
I left valorant and and i am HAPPY
If and when they fix their awful optimization and actually add a replay system instead of more characters then maybe it won’t be such a grim situation for this game 👍
Leagues fortnite valorant are games that are literally gonna stay for a decade at least PLUS valorant will get its own series like arcane which will fuel it even more
imagine a Valorant Prop hunt
Valorant is probably going to release the replay system when it slowly dies just like how Minecraft released the cave update after its player base slowly died.
aint no way you mentioned "variety" in this game...
so many people think that "I don't like this game anymore" = game is dying, even tho esports viewership was at it's peak in madrid
In Germany it has a hype again
THe map pool system has to change. They said map selection cant work due to matchmaking, but if you put a minimum selection of 6 maps out of 11, I am sure it can work. Secondly, I would love a lowkey swiftplay rank system. Games are way too long, sometimes after OT, I had put a whole hour into 1 game, and since I am not a streamer or content creator or pro of valorant, i cant possibly put 3 hours a day into it for maximum 3-4 games. Rocket league has rank for all its games modes, so why not riot. Secondly, the pass has to be much better than it is. I am not asking for an Araxys stlye gun, but at least simple animations, even recycled gun sounds to give that little incestive to buy it.
