  • You will die.
    This boss encounter sucks. This will take multiple attempts before you get the right RNG.
    All of Zekvir's abilities will one shot you. They also get buffed during his Black Blood Phase starting at ~60%.
    THIS IS NOT A RACE. Take your time killing him. There is no enrage timer for you to worry about and even if you have to stop ALL damage on Zekvir to deal with his mechanics you can still finish him off.
    ====================
    Zekvir Phase 1
    ====================
    Claw Smash - A WIDE area cone.
    Side step it or die.
    Angler’s Web - A NARROW web shot. Pulls you to Zekvir for an instant kill.
    Side step it or die.
    Call Web Terror - Summons a cocoon that spawns a spider add after a set amount of time.
    Stop all damage on Zekvir and immediately focus fire this down. It's worth it to save a damage cooldown to deal with this every time it's up. If you can cleave Zekvir great. If you cannot cleave Zekvir then don't. Killing the cocoon is MUCH more important than some extra damage.
    Enfeebling Spittle - Applies a magic DoT that hits very hard and slows you down.
    1. This is a magic DoT.
    If you can dispel Magic, great! Get rid of it IMMEDIATELY. Don't worry about Brann he's fine.
    2. Cleanse it with your Class' spells/abilities.
    Certain abilities have the nice benefit that it removes snares/movement impairing effects from your character. This is a godsend. Save these moves for getting rid of the DoT, even if it's a damage cooldown (e.g. Avatar, Bladestorm, etc.)
    3. Have Brann cleanse it off you.
    This is a last resort. Do not trust Brann to save you all the time. He is a moron.
    Horrendous Roar - Circle around the boss that fears and does HEAVY shadow damage.
    Stay out of this. Do NOT tank this. Even if your class can cleanse the fear. For melee: Stay at the edge of Zekvir's hitbox and save any mobility to run out faster.
    Regenerating Carapace - Zekvir heals himself for 10% of his maximum health.
    1. Before the fight starts, focus Zekvir.
    2. Make a macro to interrupt your focus target.
    3. DO NOT LET THIS GO OFF. It's not game over if it does, but it's just more time spent killing him.
    ====================
    Zekvir Phase 2 - Black Blood
    ====================
    Zekvir transitions into this phase at 60%. He is immune the moment he starts channeling so save any hard hitters you might have up at the moment. Zekvir also gains 1 new ability and modifies 3 of his old ones.
    Unending Spikes - Swirls appear around the arena and summon spikes.
    New to this phase. Stay in the clear parts of the floor. Easy to avoid and easy to deal damage/heal, but these will still instantly kill you if you get hit.
    Blood-Infused Carapace - Zekvir heals himself for 25% of his maximum health.
    This is Zekvir's old Regenerating Carapace except it heals him for 25% of his maximum hp now instead of 10%. Interrupt this at all costs. This is not a game over if it goes off, you'll just be here longer.
    [Infinite Horror] - Circle around the boss that fears FOREVER and does HEAVY shadow damage. Fires 4 orbs in four cardinal directions after casting (Up, Left, Right, Down) that deal HEAVY shadow damage.
    This is Zekvir's old Horrendous Roar except it now also fires orbs in a cross pattern after he finishes casting. You can see where they're coming out of from the 4 rifts around Zekvir. The fear being infinite might sound scary but the ability's damage will still kill you outright, so don't worry about that.
    [Angler’s Web] - A NARROW web shot. Travels through portals. Pulls you to Zekvir for an instant kill.
    Very important: This ability now summons GIANT VOID PORTALS that the web shot goes through. Stay the hell away from these, the shot is hard to predict so just run away and wait out the ability.
    Keep calm, and remember: THIS IS NOT A RACE. Take your time and react accordingly. The fight does get easier when you reach 60% as the new ability that summons swirls leaves Zekvir open for counter attackS.
    Warrior Tips:
    1. The Talent build I used in this video:
    CcEAmidFBOBFf5oKuZ7r/WeW7AAzYmZMzMzsZZZZmBAAAADmmxYYzYGYmtxMzgZGw4BYGGAAAAAAA8AjZZmZGABGLbDsAGwMMhMMYD
    Feel free to swap Intervene for the 3% Leech if you think it'll help. You can intervene Brann if you need a quick getaway.
    2. Save at least 1 ability to cleanse [Enfeebling Spittle].
    Blizzard intended for you to interrupt both Spittle and the Heal. But honestly it's just much more consistent to cleanse it off yourself with Charge (with Hero Talent from Slayer), Avatar, Recklessness (with Avatar proc from talents), and Bladestorm. You CANNOT SPELL REFLECT THIS.
    3. Save Heroic Leap to escape [Claw Smash].
    4. Save Spell Reflection for [Angler’s Web] orbs during Black Blood. You can immune one hit.
    If you have any questions leave a comment, I'll try to help!

    Focus Interrupt Macros if you need them.
    Casters:
    #showtooltip YOUR INTERRUPT HERE
    /stopcasting
    /cast [@focus, harm, exists][@target] YOUR INTERRUPT HERE
    Melee:
    #showtooltip YOUR INTERRUPT HERE
    /cast [@focus, harm, exists][@target] YOUR INTERRUPT HERE
