Omg come on guys, this is Oceanic White Tip, one of the most aggressive & unpredictable shark I hope everyone was ok, that person at the surface was really lucky! I'm no Shark dive expert, but I guess it's important to remember: 1. Be with your group 2. Keep vertical 3. Keep your eyes on the Shark 4. Alert others 5. Don't rush to the surface 6. Try to be calm
How that guy splashing around on the surface didn't end up getting bitten is a mystery, he's a lucky boy, any other day he might have lost a foot. 😬🤦♂️
Kevin Cresswell Hey. I was on the same Safari as these guys. We received quite a good briefing on how to act when Sharks are around. But you know Panic is Panic.
I totally agree with the other commentators. Why for God´s sake did the divemaster take such unexperienced divers into the open water which is known for dangerous sharks? If I as customer would experience such amateurishness in a dive center, I would immediately quit. That causes danger and stress for everybody else being associated.
It's easy to see why the shark behaviour has changed. I dived at The Brothers the week before it was closed, which was the week after someone got bitten. Whereas five years earlier sharks would turn as they got to about 2 meters away, this time they would just come straight up to you. I saw a shark trying to bite someone's tank from behind! Then the shark headed my way and kept coming, bumping my Gopro as it slowly passed. I feel sure that if I had flapped about like the people in this video, it would have come back at me looking for a bite. Part of the problem is the number of people that have been going there compared with five years ago. Also, there are too many divers either not briefed well enough, or not calm enough to conduct themselves properly in the water with these sharks.
Watching this vedeo makes me very uncomfortable, they can be lucky nothing serious happened.. especailly the scene around 2:42 ... we had the pleasure of seeing 7 Longis at our last stay at Elphinstone, luckily all divers and sharks relaxed so we had enjoyable dives :)
A bunch of amateur divers diving with oceanic white tip. You guys were so lucky you didn't enter the statistics of Shark attacks. No one there can maintain balance for 5 seconds straight. No group formation. No shocker rods or any kinds of rods to keep the Shark away. I'm pretty sure the instructor was the one busy recording this reckless diving. Thank God you didn't bring bait fish to your dive trying to feed the Shark.
Equipment - 5000$. Trip to see the sharks - 5000$. Feeding a limb to an hungry shark - priceless. For everything else, there is a credit card, or the rest of your life as a cripple
shark curved fins and arched back it was getting very nervous and it singled out a divers, very amateur behaviour and very lucky the shark did not attack
To many divers with not enough weight, they can't hold the security stop level of 5m without kicking because the empty aluminum tanks now have positiv boyancy and drag them to the surface. Use steel tanks or ad 2kg to compensate the tank lift. Also, if you can't stay at 5m, surface near the boats ladder and get out fast without kicking and splashing at the surface.
shark was probing, trying to single people out by swimming close and separating them, and who could've guessed, it worked lol. Also I wouldn't recommend colorful fins, looks tasty lol.
Never get horizontal around a shark. Stay vertical always. Never play footsie with an Oceanic Whitetip. Another diver got part of his calf bitten off doing exactly what that diver did. Dumb.
Diving has become a mass entertaintment where only money counts. Too many divers go to Brothers. Most of the divers in this vid should have never been allowed to dive with sharks or even without them in places like Brothers. The dive guides seem also to be inadequately trained. Accidents with sharks and currents are bound to happen with some regularity. Those who suffer them deserve what they get, so no regrets. Just hope nobody blames the sharks.
Now they closed the Brothers not allowed to diving there because of Shark behaviour has change! But I think the fact is .. some idiot diver who never care to educated themselves before jump right in and diving with a Shark. I didn't think is a Shark to be blame alone!!!! Yellow colour fins ...and floating on the surface splashing in the water plus acting like a prey ..perfect situation waiting for accident to happen.
And yellow fins? Why dont you just paint "bait fish" across your chest. And swimming laterally across the surface away from the shark... floundering in the water. Can you look more like food? Haha. This shark didnt bite you out of sympathy for how awful you performed. He was like... seriously? You guys are terrible at this.
A daisy-chain of divers, actually they look like they've parachuted in a half-assed formation, horizontally, their chutes soon to open.... Why is that lone diver splashing, fins back paddling at top w the shark? Another diver upsidedown nearby - another not watching the shark at all...is this flight or fight against buoyancy or do I have vertigo?
Wow, not one of the other divers was the least bit intrested, even the one filming kept losing intrest. Its just luck that he didnt get bit. Lesson to learn here, sometimes you get shit people in life. Dont dive with them.
i believed this kind sharks OTW (or Bulls or Tigers) were implicated in the deaths of the sailors in the Indianapolis, Nova Scotia, disasters...most likely is the OTW, as they are more common in deeper waters.
I've swam, divina, within 3 feet of coral reef sharks at Coiba Islands National Park and I know these coral reef sharks do not atrack humans unprovoked.

I guess a WT is very predictable...you expect the worst and never turn your back on him

These guys seem to have refined looking and acting like shark food into an art form. I'd love to know what briefing they received.

I like the word "divemaster"....perfect name for a diver's watch

You gotta watch these oceanic whitetips. Food is scarce in the open ocean. There's a good chance that shark hasn't eaten in weeks.

Tja bei PayAndDiveImmediately ist alles möglich... Geld dann wichtiger als Sicherheit

Wahre Worte
Das kann man sich echt nicht anschauen. Einfach nur schlimm!

that was chaos
You swim with a White tip, you deserve every stitch you get.

Messin’ with a white tip...why tempt fate?
Oceanic White Tips DON’T PLAY. These divers were really LUCKY this shark did not decide to take an arm or leg.
It looks like these are very inexperienced divers. Why are they allowed to dive at the Brothers? Thank goodness no one was bitten.
These divers acting like prey and forget the rule keep eye contact always.
Thats a new sport right there..the 50meter forced backstroke🤣🤣great video though👏
shark curved fins and arched back it was getting very nervous and it singled out a divers, very amateur behaviour and very lucky the shark did not attack
Amazing how these people dont seem to be paying attention to each other

You have to calculate and compensate that with a little inflation of your BCD at the beginning and your weights.
I want to highlight that adding 2kg to compensate the empty aluminum tank is quiet accurate based on personal experience
With our without sharks, several of these divers should not be let loose in a site Brothers! I hope that everyone is ok.
shark was probing, trying to single people out by swimming close and separating them, and who could've guessed, it worked lol. Also I wouldn't recommend colorful fins, looks tasty lol.
Its all fun and bubbles till someone gets bit.
I call these scuba tours Russian roulette. It's gonna happen but who will be the bait of the day?!
I wouldn't turn my back on these white tips they can be quite nasty! Then Oceanic white tip is in the top 5 most dangerous sharks!!
I believe it is considered THE most dangerous.
Never get horizontal around a shark. Stay vertical always. Never play footsie with an Oceanic Whitetip. Another diver got part of his calf bitten off doing exactly what that diver did. Dumb.
What a mess

Red flippers😂 you asking for it. And yall are lucky as fk because that shark was lonely if it was in a pack none of these guys would survive.
OMG unverantwortlich !
The shark isn’t in the least bit nervous by all the divers. It’s looking for an opportunity to bite. OWTs are as dangerous as bulls.

Yam Yam Yellow
Is it me because I do not see knives in any of the divers inner legs .

Obviously, these divers paid in advance 😅
beautiful creature
Well this type of shark certainly isn't timid! From what I've seen of other videos with White Tips- they just want a lil 'nip'- then they leave!
Do white tip sharks make for good eating?
This is just ridiculous how many diver's trying to get a look at Oceanic White tip this needs to stop

Shark longimanus !
Is that last man standing game ? 🤭

Death wish the most dangerous shark in the ocean. Oceanic Whitetip. I would freak.

Knappes Ding würde ich sagen :D.
If you think the paparazzi chasing celebrities are extreme get a load of this shark salad stew 👍
hard to watch

Yes, it's true. I can recommend the video on the USS Indianapolis incident on the channel called Shark Bytes.
Ok lets take a selfie with a white tip trying to bit
Better to snorkel with Longimanus.
I already get mad from the bubbles and the diving computer noise 🙄🙄
Act like pray you pay
What is the location?
esseppi Brothers, Egypt
어딜 물까 계속 탐색 하고 있는데 도와주는 사람도 없고 참;;;
Yum yum yellow

It’s an oceanic white tip not a reef shark idiot
