"Never thought id say that...
Again. What?" xD
Ricky is always spot-on identifying and laughing at hypocrisy... No topic is off-limits ❤
Of, course, but that isn't the point, is it? The point is he's not hired as a preacher or social commentator but as comedian. Seems he's long started taking himself a little too seriously.
@@patrickpowell5430 Comedians are usually social commentators: "Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy when seen in long-shot" - Charlie Chaplin
Actually, that is not wholly true - some are, many are not and simply want to make a living getting us to laugh. Were the Marx Brothers, Spike Jones, The Three Stooges and more recently Jerry Seinfeld 'social' commentators? @@VintageVigilante
@@patrickpowell5430 The Marx Brothers (esp. Groucho!) satirised the upper class and authority figures in their films. Spike Jones was as much a musician as a comedian, but he parodied pop songs and made fun of cultural norms. The Three Stooges lampooned societal conventions in between all the slapstick. Jerry Seinfeld is pure observational social comedy that often highlighted the minutiae of everyday life.
Ricky has his own style and is more direct. If you don't like it, that's ok, but I wouldn't be surprised if you have a problem with his progressive views more than his status as a comedian.
@@patrickpowell5430are you watching the same thing we are?!?! 😂
He takes a little getting used to, but he so honest. I now have seen him in a few movies & on chat shows. Keep watching him. He grows on you.
if you don't like raw, sarcastic, satirical comedy don't watch him! I personally love that kind of no holds barred comedy! he is alot like Dave Chappell and not for the meek. great great comedians! ITS ONLY COMEDY! if you forget that you will not like either one!
Just gets boring fast. I prefer witty comedians
Just goes to show comedy is in the brain of the laugher. Really enjoy Ricky, Sean Lock, Norm MacDonald but have no interest in Franky anymore. Horses for courses and each to their own. Keep on bringing me the grins Ricky. Tim Dillon’s had me roaring recently as well. Thank goodness for comedy and its lifeline/ twin, freedom of speech. 😂😂😂😂❤
A living legend ❤
😂
As opposed to more normal bigotries?
Slippery slope.
Waaaaah 😩
“It’s a strange sort of bigotry that you can affect someone’s lifestyle that doesn’t affect you back” what an incredibly ironic statement seeing as half his material now is just trashing transgender people
Oh do shut up. Did it offend you diddums? I assume you completely missed the point of his stand up about trans people.
How is that ironic? How is he affecting their lifestyles?
@jamiebee1231 shut up mate, yer boring.
Transgender sdo affect other lifestyles, seeing as they demand to go into women's toilets, sports, prisons, etc.
I find his standup routines quite depressing and bad-natured.
Its called irony.
Don't watch it then 🙄
Stick to watching politicians they'll only tell you what they think you'd like to hear in order to get your vote
Well, I've not seen a lot of Gervais' stand-up, but he's not particularly funny is he? It's all more than a bit obvious, all a bit right-on. Give me Sean Lock, Frankie Boyle, Kevin Bridges and the rest any day. Gervais? Thanks, but, you know, not thanks.
Watch his older bits.
You seem like a big fan. Are you Dickie Anders?
Well, it would have to be because this doesn't cut it, does it? @@alexwithanx
