Because while 360hz is what most pros use, it's not common to have in general peripherals. 240hz is more widely available to supply.
Well I know specifically in Fortnite most pros use 240hz because the main reason being, in person tournaments, The equipment only goes up to 240. Same reason why a decent amount switched from stretched res to standard.
also the pc components requiered to play at 360 constantly (keyword constantly) are pretty expensive and getting 100 pc is really not affordable for epic games.

The jump form 100 to 360 is pretty big tho. Nothing is cheap if you have to aim to make 360 an standard.

Would definitely recommend playing just for the current battle pass its pretty cool. You can just do xp maps and afk in lego if you dont have so much free time

@@danielcarrillo1864 bud hz ≠ fps if they have maxed out pcs at LAN then they'll pull the same fps as their pcs at home which means that they'd have roughly 200-240 fps endgame and 240 hz would be plenty for that they'd only miss out on the higher hz in early and mid game potentially but it shouldn't be that big of a deal

Yes and no when going from 120 to 240 you can definitely tell the difference going from 240 to 360 you get another 120 frames a second this would make the game insanely smooth but if you play on 240 and switch to 360 you’d notice a small difference but you wouldn’t really notice the difference unless you go back down to 240 if that makes sense

I think part of the reason is everyone is connected to the same WiFi so it would cause lag because if 100 people are rendering Fort its at 1040p 360hz or even 1440p 360hz it makes the WiFi have to render more per second and the WiFi probably won't be big enough to have 300+ megabites a sec per person (idk how much you need for 360hz)
I think there are 2 main reasons, one they dont even know about.
1, what the video said
2, 360hz does not give as much of an advantage compared to 240hz, and it will cause less 1% and 0.1% frames (moree frame drops and hitches in gameplay, which is really bad in tournaments
They complain about 240 fps when i play on Below 60
The jump from 144 hz to 240 hz wasn't that huge for me, so the difference between 240 and 360 hz is even smaller

honestly 240 is probably the highest amount of visual change that you’ll notice, if you go to 360 or 500 something (because monitors go to that now) then it somehow feels a little less than the jump from like 60-240,120-144-240

Clix is such a baby, I'm on 240hz and it's feels great
I recently got a 240hz monitor and I switched back in forth between 144hz and 240hz and only noticed a super slight difference between the two (it could have been placebo). So 240 to 360 just seems like a useless upgrade to me plus my pc can’t run 360 fps in most games. 144-240 is a good cap of frequency.
even if you dont notice a difference, ther3 are a difference and thats the refreshtime of the frames. more frames means less input lag and more imersive because you can react quicker
it’s not really about the framerate as you can’t notice much of a difference past 165hz, it’s more about the input delay/input lag due to 120 less frames (which is a big difference)

I hate how he puts so much emphasis on the "the same refresh rate 5 years back in the world cup" unfortunately due to the lack of technological advancement in refresh rate 240 is one of the highest refresh rates you can get, also ontop of this 240 is more widely supported

Maybe it's to prevent pay2win. Extreme example if someone can only afford 60hz and someone else can afford 500hz oled there would be a pay to win advantage. By limiting the hz to 240 its more fair as more players will be able to afford it?

My monitor supports 240hz but my rx 6600 xt with ruses 7 5700g doesn’t go higher than 120fps constant( even in fights my fps are dropping to 100-90fps) 💀

I Think it should be 60hz instead, it is what most players use, supposedly mainly because most players in fortnite use a budget laptop or device that only accepts 60hz. True Monsters run 30hz but True Pros run 60hz.
