  • Here's Weeping Willow Lane sung by The Elliots a Singing Duo from a 78 rpm shellac record probably released in the 1920s.
The Elliots were an English singing duo that recorded between 1910 and the early 1920s

I was sight reading this piece from an old sheet music album and wanted to know how accurate my interpretation was. It was written copyright 1919 . Written by F. Henri Klickmann and lyric by Harold P Frost. You really shouldn't be playing these recordings on an old acoustic gramophone you know as it will wreck the tracks further. I myself as an electronics tech of near 50 years you could say they are historical in context and should be cared for in that order. Having said that there may be better recordings of this piece than by these singers. The name of the composer suggests he wasn't British. All the best, try not to degrade old recordings by playing them on destructive equipment. I did this at one stage in my life but then I was only a ten year old.
