I was thinking the same thing! That smile was so genuine. I bet she sang this song 100 times into a hairbrush, dancing around her room, lol. This was such a sweet moment.
I’m an Aussie so I’m extremely familiar and love the song but I’m not shocked, it doesn’t come as a surprise, heaps of people know and love this song, even those who weren’t even born when it was released (like Olivia).
I love how Olivia has completely revitalized this kind of music and is introducing new audiences to some of these great songs. Not that much of the audience wasn't already familiar with it lol.
I love that Olivia is just bringing 2000s radio to life, getting to sing her childhood classics with the musicians who populated her radio is a dream come true for her, and shows how much respect she has for her inspirations.
Also I can't stand when I go to hear my favourite artist live & can't hear their voice because a thousand over bunch of people are running it. I went to a Portishead concert & the audience was belting out the intimate parts. Even worse, at a Mariah Carey gig.
Late but nothing warms my heart more than seeing Olivia having such immense respect for artists us millennials grew up hearing in the car on the way to elementary school 🥺big ups to miss Liv
I love how the new generation is connecting with the older generation, and they embrace on stage like this. Olivia has been paying tribute to many of her peers and role models like Avril, Natalie Imbruglia, and Alanis. I think the love is mutual in these situations. You love to see it. She's so incredibly talented. In 20 years a newcomer will totally "fan girling"on stage because she got to sing good 4 u with her hero.
Olivia has collaborated with legends: Alanis, Natalie and Avril. I'd love to see her singing together with Michelle Branch, Vanessa Carlton and Meredith Brooks.
I'm one of them 90s kids, and Natalie was one of my faves. (YOU GUYS she has a million songs as good as Torn) I got to see Natalie live in a smaller than you'd think venue, and she saw me yelling all the lyrics and pointed at me during Wishing I Was There With You. My life has never been the same, and only Olivia understands ^^ What a lovely moment
I think it's really cool that both Olivia and Taylor Swift are bringing artists from the 90s-00s to the stage, exposing good music to a crowd that often wasn't even born during that time and may have no idea about the existence of the guest artists or have never even heard their songs.
this is so cute. I love how Olivia just pulls all her favourite artists as a child back on stage. And as an Aussie haven't seen Natalie perform for a long time.
I love the phrase "I'm all out of faith", this particular sequence of words sounds so perfectly awesome at the beginning of a chorus. Then I love the downwards interval in "I'm cold and I am changed". This song is amazing.
this is legit one of my favorite songs from the 90s. 😭😭😭😭

Thank you so much for sharing this! As a big fan of Natalie's for over 25 years now, it's so good to see her sharing the stage with this new generation of talented girls, especially with Olivia as they have similarity in their music. I'm sure Olivia has a beautiful career ahead of her! All the best!
lol but Natalie didn’t write this song So it’s sort of embarrassing honestly that she would do this ….. I mean I’m fine with Avril or alanis coming on I mean alanis morissette was and is an absolute legend She is a 10/10 when it comes to musicians But Natalie imbruglia ? Are you kidding I mean it’s not her song…. She keeps adding to the bank with something she didn’t even create
@@WdawgSmithWe know Natalie didn't write the song…… but it was her version that was a hit song… it's her that's been performing it for 20+ years… it's her version that everyone knows and loves. Why wouldn't you want to perform with a singer everyone loves? What a dumb comment. If you're really interested in the financial side, Anne Preven & Scott Cutler from Ednaswap made pretty much all the money off this song.
I'm a guy and I'm crying. I love this so much and I'm so happy Olivia saved the guitar songs. I've been lost with new music for over a decade, it feels like.
I love Natalie so much, and I have been a superfan of Olivia for a year now. It is awesome to see them perform together! One of the things I love about Olivia is that she feels so real and relatable, despite being so successful and talented. She just feels like a real teenager meeting one of her idols!
It's great to see Liv giving homage to her music predecessors. The Pop Rock Queens of the 90's Alannis, Sheryl, and Natalie. Hope to see more of Michelle, Vanessa, and Avril as well.
Olivia is bringing all of the Music industry's REAL singers who refused to sell their souls and exposing those who did. There is a lot more to Olivia Rodrigo than meets the eye! Besides being fabulous and full of love. You will understand what I have said here some day very soon.
I have not listen to or heard of Olivia Rodrigo that much but saw her with a remote with Jimmy Kimmel and now sing a song from my time period. Now I feel I should check out more of her songs. She has a great personality that I saw in Kimmel and in this performance and I will be happy to give her my support! :)

Holy crap yo 😭 I'm on my way home from seeing Natalie at Shepherds Bush Empire tonight. She was superb ✌️ binging vids on my way home. Imagine being Olivia and singing a favourite song of hers ON STAGE WITH HER! That's so awesome 👍
I took an interest in this incredible duet called "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia and Olivia Rodrigo and even she has done her own cover version of "Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia from 1997. It wasn't bad either - but to see these brilliant singers do "Torn" together, it's just incredible. Olivia Rodrigo had the #1 album of 2021 according to the Australian Recording Industry Association - (ARIA), with "Sour." And Natalie Imbruglia had her debut album "Left Of The Middle" in 1997, and so that had the song "Torn" on it. And to see her perform that song with Olivia Rodrigo, it's just unbelievable. I heard about this on the "Today" show on Channel 9 this morning in Sydney, New South Wales, in Australia on 8th July, 2022.
Thank you for sharing this, the video quality is amazing!! I can't believe this happened, they're both icons! I hope to see more of them and I love how Olivia's music sounds like 90s and 2000s music, it's very nostalgic.
u ever watch a performance and think "they have to do a recorded version together" yh that's how I feel
Ed Sheeran and Bring Me The Horizon be like
Isn’t this the kind of music that Taylor swift has been doing for fifteen years
@@jms1263 then if that’s what ur bringing to the table then Taylor copied Natalie Imbuglia cause this is her song not Olivia’s
@@shanellemorgan2157 I totally agree
this song is a cover, not natalies song, this song is by a 90's band called ednaswap lol
It's clearly that Olivia Rodrigo is realizing a childhood dream singing with Natalie Imbruglia. She also sings in a lower tone, so humble.
I was thinking the same thing! That smile was so genuine. I bet she sang this song 100 times into a hairbrush, dancing around her room, lol. This was such a sweet moment.

Watching Natalie on stage do her thing makes it seem like no years have passed, 1998 is back. She’s a fine wine.
She doesn’t sound like the ‘90s anymore though. Loss of estrogen is a b!tch.
Avril then Alanis then Natalie?! I just can't. I'm loving Livie more and more because of this. Like paying homage to the greats. My heart is full. 🥺🥺🥺
Alanis too?? Girl, this girl livin my whole dream 😭🤌✨
