One of the craziest 30 mins in Padres history. Never seen Petco that lit before🔥🔥🔥
Coming from a Kansas City Royals/Chiefs fan, I'm so happy for the city of San Diego, you guys absolutely deserve this run you're on, I'm gonna be rooting for you guys the rest of the way!
Thank you so much! It's a true compliment coming from a fan of such a storied and fantastic organization. Cheers, my friend!!
Much love to you man from a san diegan myself I appreciate positive people rooting for us!
Thank you!!! We appreciate it! Go Padres!! ❤
I've been saying that this Padres team reminds me of the Royals WS winning team a few years back
Well, considering all their other Big 4 teams have left, they have to have something to cheer about.
Ha-Seong Kim has been the real solid performer for the team this season! Also Machado is able to focus on what needs to be done as a leader for the team. Seems like a lot of pressure has been relieved from him and is able to focus on his game.
Im a San Diego resident born and raised (20 years old) and I cant even begin to express what this means for my city. Growing up, the Padres were always one of the last place teams every single year. 24 years later and we are back in the NLCS and I've never seen my city come so close together. I''ll see y'all at Petco Park on Tuesday. I LOVE YOU SAN DIEGOOOOO!!
I’m so happy for you, I hate la

I love it, they were going nuts. Doesn't matter who your favorite team is, that is awesome to see.
As a Dodger Fan one thing I tell you is that we lost very well, Dodgers had the best pitchers, batters and defensive yet Padres weere superior all the season

@@camilosixtino well the Dodgers have been cheating heavily for ages now the baseball gods gave them what they deserved!
We've been waiting a long time. It's our turn to win !
I was there last night. I can’t even begin to describe how special that game was. When it started pouring rain, to look around and see no one running for cover, staying in there seats screaming at the top of there lungs “BEAT LA!” Was one of the greatest moments of my life! You couldn’t have scripted it any better! Hader striking out betts turner and freeman to end the game! After the game, the people watching the game in the bars poured out into the streets and everyone was hugging, high fiving, horns were consistently honking! All I can hope for now is a matchup with the Yankees in the World Series. I want revenge for the 98 series! LFGS!!!!
I'm Korean fan for Padres.
Thank you guys so much for shouting "HASEONG KIM" all the time!!
He was top class player in the Korean baseball league, and I'm happy to see he plays active roles both in hit and defense in the Major League!!
There are many Korean Padres fans, and we will see the match and cheer for Padres like you guys, until the end of the post - season!!!

We love him. It has been a pleasure and privilege to have him in brown and gold.
He is king here in San Diego... Loved and appreciated by fans.
I was born in San Diego and spent the first 7 years of my childhood there. My mom was born and raised in SD, and most of my family still lives there - all of them Padres fans. I have a lot of memories of attending Padres games and watching them on TV as a kid, especially during their 1998 World Series run. they’ve pretty much sucked ever since. so to watch the game tonight with my family and share that moment - watching that final strikeout and all of us cheering - was really special. the atmosphere at Petco Park gave me chills, and I was only experiencing it through the TV. I can’t imagine what it was like to be there, or be at a bar in SD full of Padres fans. I know it’s only the NLDS, and all us Padres fans are acting like we just won the World Series, but that was such an exciting series and monumental win for the franchise that I would consider this season a success regardless of the final outcome. I am so stoked for this team and I can really see them winning it all. they just knocked out a 111-win team for f**ks sake! and after knocking out the 101-win Mets in the Wild Card round, I have a really good feeling about this.
Go Padres!
I don't miss Tatis Jr. We have kim! What a fabulous hit he made today!
kim earned it bro.
He is Ha-wesome!!!
Kim is still trying to acclimated into Major league. He will be better ready mentally & physically into MLB. Can’t wait for next season. Before that happens. They have very winnable games left til Championsship.
I Iove Kim, but I still miss El Niño!
@Paulo Diego Abadilla He was caught cheating!
I was in the game a few moments ago, and I cannot describe the feeling that I just lived. Never in my 29 years feel something like that. The energy, the happiness that all we felt, was just amazing. That frickin goose was the real deal!
The greatest inning in padres history…………… So far
Just wait till we win
5th inning in game 2 of the Phillies series is up there too
I am going to go old school and go back to 1984 when the Padres came back from down 0-2 to the Cubs and had an inning similar when down multiple runs and knocked the Cubs ace out of the game which was Rick Sutcliffe.
Probably this one because they came back and went to the WS
Don’t know how long you been following baseball but no not the greatest.
Can't believe the Padres got those 5 runs in one inning!!!! SO VERY PROUD OF YOU!!!!!!
Marcus! The season isn't over for the G.O.A.T. I'm a Giants fan, but definitely cheering for the Padres all the way! 🐐

Thank you guys I love the giants also
@@machinesofgod I root for any team that plays LA
@@marcuscheng2507 that’s a great idea, beat LA
San Diego played a fantastic job of winning this series! Not only did they played wonderfully down the stretch, but I believe the defense was what saved SD from letting dodgers widen the score throughout the entire season. Kim is the man and I love his energy. Give this man extended contract! He earned it
We haven’t had many great moments in our history so this one is special. It’s euphoric every time I watch it.

I'm most shocked SD shut down that offense. Probably the biggest upset in MLB playoff history
Please remove “one of”
Yep. That makes it three teams that had a bye are now out.
@@rickbase833 My Astros were a little rusty coming off that bye against the Mariners and it showed. I think the bye is a disadvantage now due to the extended wildcard setup. It ruins players timing. Look at Altuve/Judge.
@@homosociologicus46 and #1 was in 1906

Go Padres! Go Ha-Seung Kim!!!
RBI double by Kim was turning point. No doubt.
There's a feel to the sound of a fan base who's suffered thru generations of at best marginal success. Compounding the frustration and feelings of disrespect, having to witness the year after year success of viral organizations that practically share the same zip codes . When that script flips, the sounds that those fans create has feel. Im not a Padres fan, but im happy for those who never surrendered or switched sides. For them, i hope the Padres win 8 more games this month
This fan has been suffering mediocrity for more than half a century...yes this is very very special

As a Dodger FAn I have been respecting Padres all this 2022 season they were always a Headache, I truly think was Roberts fault
Like the 1991 Atlanta Braves. It was electric around Atlanta in 1991. T shirt stands on the roadside, people selling homemade tomahawk earrings, face painting tomahawks, etc.
So true man... years and YEARS of living inside the void that is bereft of hope and magic. Today was something... cathartic and therapeutic.

They just beat the Mets and Dodgers and both teams had 100+ wins in the regular season. Give this team some respect
I left just before the 7th inning to go pick up food....I got back and I nearly threw my dinner into the ceiling...I can't believe how well this team held together!!!!

But this team is special
This team is an underdog.
The 98 team was STACKED.
They did a lot of good trades in the off season and during
Both the Padres and the Phillies got hot went it really mattered the most. It's going to be a great NLCS with these two underdogs.
@Sonic collections ps2 noises yet still an underdog, rated as worst team left before playoffs started
@Sonic collections ps2 noises not sure if you were even a Padres fan back then, but let's remember that 98 team:
Three Cy Young candidates:
Kevin Brown 18-7 2.38 era 7 CG(3 SHO) 1.07 WHIP
Trevor Hoffman 53 saves 1.48 era 0.85 WHIP
Andy Ashby 17-9 3.34 era 5 CG(1 SHO) 1.24 WHIP
3 players with over .500 slug%: Tony Gwynn, Greg Vaughn (50 hr), and Ken Caminiti.
The clutchest playoff hitter possibly of all time Jim Leyritz .607 slug % career playoffs
Gold Glove winner Steve Finley (won 5 over his career)
And, they won their division with 98 wins. That team was not seen as an underdog.

Sadly it looks like the Dodgers are the modern version of the 90s Braves. All those division titles, all the superstars, all the 100 win seasons, but in the playoffs they’ve had more heartbreakers than euphoric moments with the only title for both being in a shortened season (95 for ATL and 20 for LAD)

Petco Park has always been one of the best looking stadiums with a great backdrop of the city in the background. All its been missing is a huge electric crowd.
When we were down 3-0 in the 6th my friend and I thought it would be smart to go get rally shots at the bar. Came back to this inning. Every hit was magical.
