Lol, my Grandparents are in Galway, my Mother, Father are from there, but migrated to the US for my dad as job before I was born (radio engineer), an Aunt, Uncle, three cousins, and their families live there (southern Ireland) now too. People in Ireland tend to have an excellent send of humor. Good thing they didnt try this here in the US, homeland security, NSA, FBI, Department of defense, and your friendly local (militarized) police force would be kicking doors in, and cracking skulls. Much like when they raided that innocent family on accident, and there the flash-bang grenade into the house indiscriminately, and it landed in the baby crib and caused third degree burns, and two broken teeth, as well as shrapnel injuries in an infant. Damn. I try to be a patriot. I was born and raised here. This is my home, but its getting scary. Nobody has a sense of humor unless they're sitting in front of the tv. We were taught good morals, and good ideals, that the US were found upon. Nobody seems to remember. Just hearing people laugh heartily, at what they believe is a funny little girl. It reminds me of my parents. All the times we visited Ireland, and I was told to watch out because people all over Europe hate us Americans, yet everyone was so warm, friendly, and helpful. Though, we were never your typical fat, loud mouthed American tourists either. Ireland's a special place. Im gonna try to bring my kids over there for the first time next year to visit with the cousins and their families. I hope we Americans can learn something from them.
Well did you manage a visit mate. I was born and bred in Northern Ireland and yes it is a special kind of place. I now live in Scotland which is similar but just not on the same humour wavelength. I have done my fair share of travelling and when I told most people where I was from they usually commented on how much they’d love to visit. I think most people would enjoy it but maybe I’m biased.
I find it weird and hilarious that I go to school with a girl who I think sounds like this girl and even weirder that she came to live here from England. Her name isn't Becky but I still find it funny.
