I think it's might be hard to land any plane on this airport, but you can land any plane. GOOD VIDEO!🥳
Yeah the AN225 was pretty difficult, as you can see at 11:05 I made full left input but the plane barely steers to the left

2:12-2:22 the plane flew over Kowloon Tsai Park, where the Checkerboard Hill was situated. Once the pilots sight the hill with obvious red & white checkerboard patterns, they would make a right turn before landing on Kai Tak Airport.
I used to study at Hong Kong Baptist University, just beside the beautiful Kowloon Tsai Park with swimming pool, soccer fields and basketball courts. 😍
And the HKBU students would walk across the Kowloon Tsai Park to have delicious Dim Sums in Kowloon City, where the infamous Kowloon Walled City (torn down and now a memorial park) was at.
There's nothing quite like this approach at night. Glad I got to experience it in 98.

I'm glad I had the chance to experience the RWY13 IGS approach a couple times during the 1990s, as well as taking off on RWY31, facing the city before the airport closed down - All with Cathay Pacific, so I was in safe hands.

I'm not sure but I don't think so...
In Kai Tak, you should put the power on idle once you're on top of the reinforced threshold. You're coming in too fast.

where is the famous checkerboard?
The video at 0:50 is recorded on top of the checkerboard and you can see it at 4:05, you always fly to the checkerboard before making the right turn.
