Sanda is actually the most practical and efficient MA for self defence. I like bjj and mma, but the grappling aspects take you years to master. In Sanda , you just learn striking and some take downs.
And then that's all you'll know. If someone takes you down instead of the other way around (which is quite likely if you're fighting someone bigger), then you're lost if you've never trained ground fighting.
@@gailvalleymartialarts unless u do body conditioning n train them muscle religiously then of course u would lose. that's why it's called building a proper form
As a fighting style maybe, but a lot of martial arts skills aren’t necessarily fighting styles Consider tai chi, you would benefit a lot from the body mechanics of it if you practice something like Sanda
Sanda is a very powerful technique. The addition of Suai Jiao, can put people on to the ground much “easier”. However, the whole style lacked ground combat. That said, just stomp their guy in the ground if he’s down. Who really want to do BJJ in a real fight?
Depends on the situation. If I take somebody’s back, I’m applying the RNC. I’s not advisable to go to the ground (especially if your opponent has friends within reach, since they might jump on you as well), but BJJ has served plenty of people well in street fights.
In a civilized country if you stomp someone’s head in you get charged with murder. Bjj allows you to subdue a threat while not seriously damaging your adversary (if you don’t want to that is), this keeps you physically and legally safe. I’m not saying you should wrestle on the ground but statistically speaking you’re most likely to get attacked by a family member or friend so wouldn’t you prefer to just pin them as opposed to punching them or “stomping their face in”
This is really fascinating. They showed the practical movements then I think showed the kata equivalent followed by meaning of kata. I heard from someone in YT that how they used to teach MA is show them the practicals first then kata later. So this is it. I think.

@@someboi4903 no, I do Muay Thai and it's pretty much a similar stance. you need to keep at least one foot up. You can also keep your front foot stance uplike the way Sagat from street fighter does to generate power. If you don't, you don't have any power at all. Just like I'm boxing, when you throw a "cross", you see them pivoting with there hip and moving with the ball of the foot to generate power.

@Crus Harold Why would they adopt BJJ? That’s outside of traditional CMA. It makes no sense for them to adopt BJJ; if they did, just call it MMA and make the IWUF the IMMAF.
@@高宇中 Sanda has always been mixed martial arts. It took martial arts from the west, east, southeast, to create the best martial art it can be. To say it shouldn't adopt ground fighting like BJJ because it's not Chinese is stupid.

@@StupidBadyXD lol yeah it's a shame, the story was at first grappling was allowed and it pretty much wrecked the stand up fighters (via points), similar to what happened in the ufc. @@StupidBadyXD - You're a dum dum! All martial arts are just that - an artistic form of fighting that has nothing to do with real fighting so that being said when it comes to combative sports, they are athletic forms of fighting which would be more realistic to fighting than said martial art whereas the fighting versions of BJJ such as GJJ are more than either one because they deal with reality so they would go into a whole other list such as reality based as the real Krav Maga and even San Soo Kung Fu and others who teach a more reality based system for warfare and the streets and in a lot of cases - as a prisoner. You obviously don't know crap kid! A very basic street fighter back in the old days who worked out and lifted and trained to fight and got into a lot of fights was more equipped to beat up a martial artist and even sport fighters and would learn the reality based systems better than others since they already had/have real life knowledge. I agree. keep the fight from going to the ground
Well, the reason BJJ is useful is because it will help you get back up from the ground if you are taken there.
