I totally see how fame can be exhausting. When Bobby commented the differences why they both got into the business: him for the people/the fame/attention; her to actually sing, to share her gift was good introspection on his part. He is a true extrovert--he needs and feeds off the spotlight. Whitney seems more of an extroverted introvert; she's public because its what she gets paid to do, but also values privacy. I'm so sad she and her daughter are gone 😢

Being raised in a home with a daily coke user, I can honestly say Bobby's antics and behaviors are so spot on for an addict and triggering. Reminds me so much of my late father.

Side note: Bobby’s brother looked like he was soooo damn sick of them and face was stuck like this😒 the entire season.🤣and I loved their chemistry together, they acted like it was nobody else in the world but them , they put the definition in the phrase crazy bout ya! It was a good crazy and it was a bad crazy. I don’t think they were high all the time but you could easily tell when they were because their normal erratic behavior was super erratic. But the saddest episode was the Christmas special which was many months after the first season aired. That’s when I could tell their marriage was at an end and the addiction was taking a complete toll on them, like they were down bad and krissy was in the middle of it and it was just “normal” to her. That episode I saw just how invested pat Houston was in krissy’s life just by the way Krissy was so excited to see her, and her parents weren’t doing as well as they should’ve been doing. Rip, Whitney ( you’re still the best to do it ever) I’m so glad I got to see her true personality, so real, so witty, and hilarious . I hate she had to be so vulnerable in the midst of just trying to be herself without everybody in her business bothering her. I detest how the media treated her like a princess in the beginning then chewed her up and spit her out like she was nothing when her flaws from her once functioning addiction started to show up more. Like Bobby said she got in the business to sing not to make people happy. That lady was gonna be a professional singer whether she became a global superstar or not , and people still can’t come to terms with how real and normal Whitney was, they fell in love with Clive Davis’s image of Whitney and how she properly conducted herself in interviews. Then when her buttons were pushed by Diane sawyer and she cusses more often, all of a sudden it’s something is all the way wrong. When in reality Whitney knew Diane was being condescending asf and she politely checked her, when she couldve went all the way off like she did on Wendy Williams… anyways..Rip Bobbi Kristina, rip Bobby jr. , rip mr. Brown. I know it hurts like hell for Bobby to even think about looking at these videos. I was about 7 when this series aired and I distinctly remember the London episode , thought it was hilarious just to see the Bobby brown and Whitney Houston acting like that , but now that I’m older.. all I have to say is all money ain’t good money, and they should’ve saved their dignity. Especially for Krissy who looked embarrassed of her parents and was annoyed by them 90% of the whole series. But that was her normal and she was comfortable around that.

So many comments about how annoyed/irritated/embarrassed Bobbi Kris looked is weird. Children will always be embarrassed by their parents. The BIGGER ISSUE is that La'Princessa, Bobbi Kris, and Bobby Jr. lived a traumatic upbringing by being around caregivers who were active drug users. In their most vulnerable adolescent years, they were broadcast on a relatively new "reality TV" format. This trauma and exposure were further compounded by Whitney's death and BBJ & Bobbi's own drug use. LaPrincessa seems to have been the only 1 to navigate the trauma but I'm sure she still struggles with her siblings being gone if nothing else💔
He was sooo immature, just horrible. He was so bothered by Whitney Fame he wanted to be more famous then her.Two broke-hearted people who needed more stable, mature partners. He was like a teenage boyfriend, not someone you could marry. To watch this makes me very sad. Whitney's whole beauty was gone during that time. She looked like a different person. If there is one thing I’ve noticed (that we’ve all noticed) it’s that families that get into reality tv don’t always come out much better on the other side. People need to realise that under those pressures of filming and trying to catch “moments” all of your insecurities, character flaws and family fractures will be magnified.

I was a child when this show aired, so i only remember a few clips (otherwise everything else i saw on social media). I mostly remember my mom watching this all the time because she loved New Edition and Whitney in their prime (and still to this day), but i mostly remember my mom constantly saying Whitney did the show for attention, bad mouthing her and taking Bobby’s side. But watching this review as an adult it was clear that Whitney just wanted to have a normal life with her husband and mixed family. She just wanted to enjoy herself as a normal human but her superstardom superseded her humanity, whereas Bobby was the real clout chaser. After her death, I’ve felt like he was always jealous of her and her career. Bobby was scene as a pop star turned thug, while Whitney garnered more sympathy and i think that made him feel some type of way. Their whole relationship was messy, and it’s a shame that we lost Whitney and her daughter the way we did. Rip to them both

This is probably going to sound crazy, but Being Bobby Brown to me is a yearly holiday watch 😂😂. Why? I binged it around Christmas one year and since then it’s been like my Christmas ratchet treat each year 😅😅😅 The series kinda made Bobby look like the normal one. Whitney was a lot but I had no idea she was so funny and ratchet. In an episode Bobby really did tell the truth that he came into the industry for the people and Whitney was only there to make music. It seemed like Whitney hated being famous. Even though they had a tumultuous relationship they had chemistry. Looking back, I can’t believe Whitney, Bobbi Kristina, Nick Gordon and Bobby Jr are all deceased now. I hope they are all resting in peace.

I hate to say this becasue they were clearly toxic but the chemistry between them is so evident. They were honestly made for eachother. I iwsh they had the support to make their relationship more healthy not just for them but for their kids too. Also, Whitney was right about the mothers day situation. I’m gonna be honest, I loved this show and so did most people. Of course in hindsight it’s easy to say “this should’ve never aired” but at the time very little people viewed it the way we do now. It was like, yeah we know they’re both struggling , especially Whitney, but no one understood exactly how bad it was for either of them. I see some people critiquing folk who are saying that they used to enjoy this show or still find it funny but it’s okay to acknowledge that we’re all human and are capable of having coexisting opinions. You can say “this should’ve never happened” while admitting that it was very entertaining. There’s no crime in that and it doesn’t mean that people don’t care for Whitney as much as they claim.

Side note: Bobby’s brother looked like he was soooo damn sick of them and face was stuck like this😒 the entire season.🤣and I loved their chemistry together, they acted like it was nobody else in the world but them , they put the definition in the phrase crazy bout ya! It was a good crazy and it was a bad crazy. I don’t think they were high all the time but you could easily tell when they were because their normal erratic behavior was super erratic. But the saddest episode was the Christmas special which was many months after the first season aired. That’s when I could tell their marriage was at an end and the addiction was taking a complete toll on them, like they were down bad and krissy was in the middle of it and it was just “normal” to her. That episode I saw just how invested pat Houston was in krissy’s life just by the way Krissy was so excited to see her, and her parents weren’t doing as well as they should’ve been doing. Rip, Whitney ( you’re still the best to do it ever) I’m so glad I got to see her true personality, so real, so witty, and hilarious . I hate she had to be so vulnerable in the midst of just trying to be herself without everybody in her business bothering her. I detest how the media treated her like a princess in the beginning then chewed her up and spit her out like she was nothing when her flaws from her once functioning addiction started to show up more. Like Bobby said she got in the business to sing not to make people happy. That lady was gonna be a professional singer whether she became a global superstar or not , and people still can’t come to terms with how real and normal Whitney was, they fell in love with Clive Davis’s image of Whitney and how she properly conducted herself in interviews. Then when her buttons were pushed by Diane sawyer and she cusses more often, all of a sudden it’s something is all the way wrong. When in reality Whitney knew Diane was being condescending asf and she politely checked her, when she couldve went all the way off like she did on Wendy Williams… anyways..Rip Bobbi Kristina, rip Bobby jr. , rip mr. Brown. I know it hurts like hell for Bobby to even think about looking at these videos. I was about 7 when this series aired and I distinctly remember the London episode , thought it was hilarious just to see the Bobby brown and Whitney Houston acting like that , but now that I’m older.. all I have to say is all money ain’t good money, and they should’ve saved their dignity. So many comments about how annoyed/irritated/embarrassed Bobbi Kris looked is weird. Children will always be embarrassed by their parents. The BIGGER ISSUE is that La'Princessa, Bobbi Kris, and Bobby Jr. lived a traumatic upbringing by being around caregivers who were active drug users. In their most vulnerable adolescent years, they were broadcast on a relatively new "reality TV" format. This trauma and exposure were further compounded by Whitney's death and BBJ & Bobbi's own drug use. LaPrincessa seems to have been the only 1 to navigate the trauma but I'm sure she still struggles with her siblings being gone if nothing else💔

I was a child when this show aired, so i only remember a few clips (otherwise everything else i saw on social media). I mostly remember my mom watching this all the time because she loved New Edition and Whitney in their prime (and still to this day), but i mostly remember my mom constantly saying Whitney did the show for attention, bad mouthing her and taking Bobby’s side. But watching this review as an adult it was clear that Whitney just wanted to have a normal life with her husband and mixed family. She just wanted to enjoy herself as a normal human but her superstardom superseded her humanity, whereas Bobby was the real clout chaser. After her death, I’ve felt like he was always jealous of her and her career. Bobby was scene as a pop star turned thug, while Whitney garnered more sympathy and i think that made him feel some type of way. Their whole relationship was messy, and it’s a shame that we lost Whitney and her daughter the way we did. Rip to them both

I’m gonna be honest, I loved this show and so did most people. Of course in hindsight it’s easy to say “this should’ve never aired” but at the time very little people viewed it the way we do now. It was like, yeah we know they’re both struggling , especially Whitney, but no one understood exactly how bad it was for either of them. I see some people critiquing folk who are saying that they used to enjoy this show or still find it funny but it’s okay to acknowledge that we’re all human and are capable of having coexisting opinions.
