It's not so much that the mother was "too late" to get her son help, but rather that she and her son were constantly failed by a system that does not care about mental health. There were so many opportunities for this to not happen yet no matter how hard she fought no one would help them

I think people should be able to get help if they are close to going insane or if it's an emergency, regardless of financial status because in the end, what's important is the person's well being. Of course, because therapists have to make money somehow, there should be a payment that is due by a certain date. This is just like going to the hospital in critical condition; they're not going to let the patient die if they don't have enough money; there will be a hospital bill afterwards. The same thing should happen with mental health.

In the case of Derrick Ward. A murder and suicide could've been prevented. If only our government cared more about our well being, than being rich and powerful.
Just imagine how many people have died or can't function in society, because they can't afford necessary medications and treatment.
Can't blame everything on the government, look at how many rich and famous died by their own hand. A shitty system is on the individuals who run it, I'll agree that the govt does play a part but at one point you gotta look at the individuals who see others suffering and choose to ignore instead of just giving the medication and dealing with the consequences later.

My friends brother Pete was murdered on Halloween in 98. He was at a party and got into a dust up with a couple of guys. Eventually it was taken outside and escalated rapidly. One of the two guys pulled out a gun and put shot Pete multiple times in the face and head.
It’s sad that people got to resort to weapons. If y’all got beef that needs to be settled just fight man to man and call it quits.

The Liske family story is also really tragic. I can't even imagine how Devon was after he lost his family, and if it was my family that died at the hands of a psychopath, I'd certainly want revenge.
The Derek Ward story is really sad and sickening. The death of his mother and himself could have been prevented if there were improvements to the healthcare system beforehand. I think people should be allowed the help they need, regardless of financial status. Of course, they will have to pay later because that's how therapists make their livings. It's just like being in the hospital in critical condition; they won't let the patient die just because of financial difficulties. Instead, they give them a hospital bill. The fact that this did not apply to the mental health area of healthcare is what sadly resulted in the deaths of Patricia and Derek Ward.
This happened right around the block from me, her head was literally laying by a corner across from their apartment and people thought it was a mask until they went to pick it up
A little tension breaking story here. My home had been broken into 4 times in a 2 month period while I was at work a few years ago ( police did catch the person responsible, but before they caught them, police informed me that they were entering through my basement window) Fast forward a few years and I now had a very large German Shepard dog. My well trained dog began alerting me late at night to the closed basement door. So I listened close at the basement door and heard “unusual noises”. ( here’s where it gets funny). I lost it! Grabbed my machete and went charging down those basement stairs like a howling banshee, massive German Shepard dog right behind me an Let me tell u, you never know how you will react when faced with a possible bad situation until you are PUT in that situation, and I honestly feel bad for a criminal breaking into my home after that. Turned out that my neighbor, I live in a side by side duplex, and my neighbor was going down the stairs next door being “unusually loud” and accidentally hitting the basement stairs wall as they were on pain meds for a temporary pain condition and decided to do their laundry in the middle of the night as they couldn’t sleep. I found this out when they called me as they heard me howling and charging down the stairs, my dog going ballistic and they were wondering what the heck was going on with my dog and me over here that late at night 🤣🤣🤣 let’s just say we had quite a few laughs over this little incident for quite a long time. 😁

@@keianroth2669 turned out it was my teen daughter’s then boyfriend. How we caught him was even more surprising. I went to the local GameStop store to buy a new Ganecube and memory card to replace the stolen ones and guess what the data the memory card had on it when I got it home? Yup, they somehow forgot to wipe the memory card before selling it to me and it was my stolen card 😳, he had pawned it and I just happened to buy it back. So all the police had to do was have the store go back and check the receipt number of the card to see when they bought it, then check the video for who they bought it from. After robbing my house four times, we finally caught him. What were the odds of that happening?😁

The beheading one is just tragic for the mom and son, it’s horrible how expensive healthcare is, and sadly the son probably had a extreme case of paranoid schizophrenia, and went through a fit. It’s very sad, knowing that medicine could’ve suppressed it, and it most likely wouldn’t have happened.
For me, the worst killer was the last one. For a parent to take out life insurance on their child (children) then kill him (them) just to collect the money, is the most gruesome thing anyone can do. And to attempt to kill another child/children to try to keep suspicion off of him is almost as bad. Being a parent myself, I can't imagine how anyone can entertain the thought of it! You've got to be a very selfish, deranged individual for that. Some people just shouldn't have been born. Too bad you can't know ahead of time what a person is going to do in their future 🤔

But didn't he say that his mother begged him to go to the Er to get medicine and he refused to? Bc that would mean that it wasn't absolutely impossible for him to get help.

Edit: as we can see today all around the world, universal healthcare does not necessarily mean that your in a (more) 'civilized' Country.

Check out Karl Karlsen, he dropped a truck his son was working on to claim 700k life insurance on him, it was then discovered that several years earlier when his first wife died, he was the one that set their home on fire and collected 200k back then. He also pulled many other insurance scams on wrecked cars etc before hand.

So, I was in the hospital a bit ago, and I had the same nurse for a few days. She was a witch very excited about celebrating Samhain. It never occurred to me that there was anything "off" or "wrong" about that woman, I was just very grateful that someone so lovely was taking care of me. I'm a devout Christian, I love her, and I felt that she loved me. I won't pretend to understand it, but it's beautiful.
Last year in the province of quebec Canada (my place) in the city of Quebec a man was disguised as a knight ,killed with a sword 2 peaple and 5 were injured

The way I feel about this video is that I feel sorry for all who have been murdered. For those who committed it, may God have mercy on their souls, or else, there's no doubt that they will indeed face the penalty. As for the murdered victims, I pray that, wherever they've been eternally spent, those who are relatives, past friends, etc. will always remember them in their hearts. I've heard about the Ronald case, but I didn't recall that this happened in Houston. As a long-time resident of Sharpstown, I've never heard about the case within my city from different people. I've only heard about the case through RUclips videos.
