Oh yeah, I learned a while ago, if you study flute you have to master the whole range of them, or orchestras just won't take you in, it's ridiculous.
Who told you that 😂😂😂 that is sheer lie. Orchestras will hire you if you are good enough at playing the classical Boehm transversal flute and they won't care if you play something else. Apart from piccolo flutes, you rarely see any other type of flutes in an orchestra. Pedro Eustache wanted to play lots flutes (he has a collection of more than 600) but no one forced him to do that and pretty much no one in the world does what he does, he is really famous in the music scenery
