Remember as a kid sleeping during the storms,we had a tin roof no insulation,it was great sleep during a good rain/storm!!

That was EPIC! I miss being around storms like that. I remember being at a friend's party in Chicago and standing in the backyard watching a majestic storm with lightning and thunder and crazy clouds. Everyone was telling me to come inside and I was like, "gimme a few minutes, I'm from California and we don't get weather like this!"
About 25 years ago, there was a WILD thunderhead over Lake Michigan one summer night. No thunder, just a crazy light show inside.

I work on a golf course and we had a severe thunderstorm the other week. Before it got bad we had to of course get all the carts and equipment in. Driving through the whipping wind and start of rain was exactly that, although I got a little nervous. Got some great video of it!

Jim, I can relate. About 3 years ago I became ill to the point where I can't get out and do alot of the things I love. Fishing and camping are all but a thing of the past. I'm grateful there are content creators like Crazy so I can live vicariously. Stay safe and keep your chin up.

I used to work on those tornado sirens a long time ago. Had that thing gone off in the middle school of the night, with you right there under it, you would have jumped out of your skin lol😂 those things are so freaking loud!
Any day I get to come home after a second shift around Midnight and see a Crazy Quady video is a good day. Getting to crack open a cold one (in my case Yuengling which is IMHO the best beer in North America) the same time you do in the video makes for a glorious evening chilling feeling like I'm at the camp site with you. This was a beautiful place and what a thunderstorm a good thunderstorm can clean the air love seeing you in the playground swinging on the swing I haven’t done that in a long time maybe 13 years when my grandson was three 😊great video can’t wait for the next one 💜💙🙏

Loved this vid!! I am a storm spotter/chaser, and you were in the perfect spot to do that! You have some awesome shots of lightning-but I'm sure seeing it in person was amazing. Swinging & going down the slide=FUN! Why not! I havent done that in years, now I'm going to!
I know ... I need to find a swing set. I haven't been to a park since my kids were in grade school.
My brother is a police officer in Poteet TX! I live about 30 minutes away and we do have great strawberries lol. We even have a strawberry festival every year it's so popular!

Living in L.A., we rarely see thunder/lightning storms like that, so it's a beautiful thing to witness. I spent a few years in New Mexico growing up and the storms and skies were wild and beautiful there. Thanks for sharing!
Wow, CrazyQuady, I'm a weather freak and this is the best camping in bad weather video I have EVER seen (and I watch a ton of them)! Great shot of the core! That milky color it had means it didn't top out yet. A storm only topping out at 20k feet will have a different hue than a storm topping out at 40k feet

Wow, when you got back from the park and started panning around the sky talking about the clouds, there was a cluster above you that looked like a scairy clown w'a devilish smile. I got a screen shot of it and looked again, and yes, pretty freakin cool!!!
