Aqesome video, great company and people at LBWP. Do you need to add a ground rod for the steel beams? If so how do you setup?

I want to do a open floor plan the bearing wall it’s pretty long about 27 feet. Is there a maximum footage that’s allowed for a beam to be placed. or it doesn’t matter how long the beam is

Just make sure it’s an LVL. You’d probably need a 3-4 ply 12” setup.

On this job we had a 22', a 17', and a 10' beam. All steel wide flange I-beams.

For the Wall Removal portion of this job, Typically we charge $6.5K to $7.5k for wall removal/beam install for 1st beam, and $1500 to $2250 per additional. This one had 3 walls so to remove those walls & add the beams it was around $13K

Around $9K for the 3 walls removed
