Bigger made me cry too! I also think that in Bigger she is embodying Africa. Mother Africa is the root and her children around the world are her tree. They were brutally kidnapped from her but mother Africa has given us a piece of her soul to each of us so that we remember the power that lies within us. She hasn't forgotten them and longs for the day we all awaken and bring her back together again. The gift is a beautiful album, she really did Africa and black people around the wolrd right, I am so moved by it!

When I heard Otherside, I cried when they started speaking in Yoruba and Swahili. I didn’t understand the lyrics at first and then I looked it up and it all makes sense. I felt the deepness of it with the video. I feel that everyone that's been disenfranchised: Racially, ethnically, gender, sexuality, religiously, disablely, small, large...etc. This song is for them. I'm only half black, and I still listen to it from the perspective that "this is for them, not for me" becuase I don't get discrimination based on my skin tone, which is a light caramel color, the same way my black family memebers do. What i really love about this album is the amount of positivity its spreads.. It hits you right in your happy spot. Eventho i love my badbitch music.. My soul needed this type of life coaching from the queen ! Motivation, insperation, enlightment, all that..
The first week sales predictions are surprisingly very low. At first it bothered me but then I came to the terms that Beyonce turned her back for the GP, so the GP did the same. Beyonce is constantly setting the bar with every release. This album is not for the likings of the mainstream audience today and I'm GLAD about that. Shes not a numbers girl anymore and that's completely okay!

Because it's pretty unique in the sense it's a legit afro beat/ afrofuturistic/hiphopish album but it's for a movie and I expected more disney but that's not what I got which I love. The only other one I can think of similar is the black panther album from kendrick Lamar and those sales werent great either. I'm not sure albums provided for free on every streaming service and on youtube especially as a movie album traditionally do great numbers so I'm not sure I'd call her numbers low considering that. Had it not been a movie or disney album I'm sure sales wouldve been higher but idk I'm not well versed on other movie album sales
