Nightporter beautiful song from Japan comes from the sado masochistic movie Nightporter. After the war a girl meets her sadistic man she confronts in the war...they can't live withourt each other.
Does anyone know what key this song is in? I think there it's mostly i - v - i - v , then VI - v - III - ii. The ii is unusual, because the second chord in a minor scale has a diminished quality. The chorus is iv - i - ii - v, with the i harmonic minor scale above it. I would describe it as a mixture of minor and dorian (because of the minor ii). But most of you probably listen to the lyrics instead of the harmony ;).
