For me I always think of a paramedic who just got back home from the worst call in his career, he comes home to his wife who tries to bring some light to his darkened soul. The medic is scared that all the dark in him will scare the love of his life away and so doesn’t want to share. His wife is reassuring him that she is trying to help him and to allow her in.
Man, I just had prom last night and it was a very sentimental night, i partially find myself in this song because I'm an introvert and I'm trying my best to exit the shell and I regret a lot that I haven't been as connected as I should've been with my colleagues... How can there be innocence when you’re relying on others to feed your ego when you should be reflecting and clearing by yourself? When you divide your attention and love ❤️ to others that you aren’t suppose to give, you won’t have any (or any more) for the one you meant to give. And now for all these hurt that you’ve done, how can you have what it got to give what you mean?
When you are offered praise it is not suppose to feed your ego bit to fill heart. It is not written anywhere telling you to divide your attention and love oncertain ones. You're suppose to love everyone equally. If you have love in your heart then you will have plenty for everyone including your soulmate. All you have to do is ask for forgiveness and that puts plenty of love in his heart. You should try it sometime and see that there's a whole new world with the Lord by your side
I don't know if anyone will read this but I just wanna share it and continue listening to this amazing song. I was always bullied by people around me. For some reason, no one tried to be friends with me, or talk to me like I'm a normal person. I was always lonely and developed anxiety and depression throughout my life, feeling useless, worthless, nothing but someone who doesn't deserve to live and feeling like I'm disappointing even the people that doesn't know me. I don't know what Am I living for, why do I continue and why was I born in the first place? I feel like my place isn't here, that I'm not worth to even breath but when I think of dying, leaving everything behind, I'm scared. I'm scared of making my family suffer when it's all my fault I feel like this. Truth is, no one wants to die for real, we just want to feel happy, just a little time when we don't have to worry about every little thing, when we don't have to cry and feel guilty, when we would smile and be happy. We just want everything to be over, either the loss of someone or the feeling of being wortless because the people around you don't care at all, we all have scars we just can't forget. I always thought I'm alone, but I see so many people sharing stories and realize I'm not the only one and maybe I'm not someone who can say this but just... don't give up. Even if you feel like there is no tomorrow, like your world is crashing down and you have no place to hide, there are always better times and a good future that is waiting for you, you just have to be strong and face the world, cry if you want, do things that at least used to give you happiness and find someone to listen to you. It's always gonna be something for you, so... Believe in yourself, in the person you are and try to love yourself! ❤ I may not know you, but I love you, I know you're a strong person, a kind and amazing person and can do everything you dream for!

I was in a dark place for 2 years.. I thought I'd never get out of the depression I was in.. Right now I'm better.. I've focused on the thing's I love most and tried to push away all the negative thoughts.. My dog has helped me a lot and he's not a service dog just a extremely smart dog like he knows almost 30 tricks and he's only 2 and a half years old. So yeah I'm glad to be doing better.. Now like once a month I get a really bad depression for like 2 days but that's about all. Thank you for reading this! I hope you have a great day/night!

Very few songs make me cry. This one made me bawl. Not only for its amazing lyrics and sound but for the story behind it. I listened to Lonely right before this one and I have to share a bit of my story cause it's really similar to yours Nathan. My sophomore year of high school was really tough and I'd fallen into a really dark place. I was a pretty emotionally quiet kid though so I never talked to anyone about it, but I needed to get how I felt out so I wrote a series of poems about it called "The Evil that Corrupts the Fair". One day I decided to show it to my friends cause I needed someone to know, the outpouring of love and support I got from them was unlike anything I'd ever known. It was like hands of brilliant light reached down into the dark pit I'd fallen in and dragged me out. Now I'm in my first year out of high school and I'm writing another poem series entitled "The Light that Sets Us Free" When I listened to Lonely I felt it deep down inside me and then when I came to Innocence I just broke down in tears. You put the struggles, and tribulations so amazingly into words I can't even describe it. Thank you so much for sharing your story Nathan you're an amazing dude!

I went to his house. He was just sleeping all the time, everytime he'd visit.. I'd hug him so hard. Hanging out is my love language so everytime someone refuses to hang out, i cry a lot. I'd message my cousin telling him what happened. I felt better. Each christmas he'd visit. Last year, he even bought me a gingerbread house! We made it together. It was so fun. 4 days ago (Wednesday) he visited. 2 more days later (friday) he had to leave. And celebrated my birthday early! Since it was really close. Now.. Two days later.. (Today) tomorrow is my birthday. Now, i feel like i don't spend lots of time with him.. So this song really reminds me of him❤🥹

Even though my battle is over still feels so raw and red , when I listen to this song I feel a little bit peaceful . Wish I had heard this song before the end this really lifted me up from the blackness . Feel like somebody out there really understood , at first I was kind of angry and scared but now I’m so thankful that somebody so loving shared this with me.
