in my opinion Vernon's rapping is unique ~ yes maybe he's not the best rapper but he worked hard to improve himself so far.I hope he remembers this tv program as a good experience not the worst memory in his life..i hope it gave him strength instead of hopeless back then. bcz everybody see that how amazing&successful he is anymore!💕
Vernon is better. He got that swag and a potential voice for being a rapper. He just needs more practice. Besides, he is much more handsome. An eye candy to most of the ppl. Andup were like a cocky dude without sustainable rap talent.
I personally liked Vernon's voice and style better. The only thing that felt awkward was the English. To me it didn't flow great with the Korean. Still liked him better though and he just keeps getting better as he gets more experience.
Lol i think the disjointedness is bc he uses the actual english pronunciation and english uses a lot of different sounds from korean, so it doesn't quite fit. korean rappers generally twist the pronunciation a bit so it sounds more "korean"
The way that the other rappers looks at vernon was like "oh yea that vernon he doesn't even know how to rap" it really hurts my feelings and I'm looking forward that one day if they're going to watch vernon's future performance I'm really hoping that they'll kneel in front of him.

delay cious no he's not. He's a pretty good rapper. He wouldn't be one of the top 10 if he wasn't that good. And remember there are 4 member left in team zipal (andup, Ja mezz, one and mino). But the fact that he beat One in the first round then Jamezz in the next round who are strong rapper as well, that proves that he wasn't scared being eliminated in the 3rd round of the show against Vernon. Some fans are just too salty that Vernon was beaten by Andup and make excuses that he did it just cause he doesn't want to lose during that round. If they watch SMTM4, they will see how a strong rapper he is. And he could beat most of the rapper that's been eliminated. Even a lot of underground rapper said Vernon doesn't deserve to pass the 2nd round and they want to eliminate them while the rest want to go against him cause they want to win.

Vernon came to SMTM for experience and other than that his participation in the competition was also around the time that they were preparing for their comeback. He didn't have the luxury of time to prepare for his raps and everything because they were to busy. i hope they wont hate on him because of this. Guys, we have to be realistic here. It doesn't matter who "sounds" better, because in rap, the lyrics are the most important, and it seems that Vernon didn't do so well on the lyrics. Without being biased, Vernon was always picked on because he was the weakest in terms of rapping ability, so basically, eliminating unnecessary rappers out of the competition. Other than that, I'm glad that Vernon tried something new with this show and challenged to better himself. And no, he wasn't called out because they were jealous of his looks, I don't know where people got that idea from.
What i think is that he couldnt put his 100% into this because he was busy with working with seventeen's debut and all the stuff he had to that time, and even though this wasnt the best he improved a lot from then and now he has his own rap songs so i personally think this past isnt important, if you're great in the present.

You guys don't get it. There were so many rappers in SMTM that are desperate for the chance to make it big through the show. On the other hand, Vernon is there simply to promote his idol group, which naturally earned him the ire of the others, especially the underground rappers. The fact that vernon was bad certainly did not help one bit.
Honestly, I like Vernon but Andup was obviously better. He lacks skills. Andup on the other hand has plenty of that. Vernon has the raspy voice that personally like but he lacks a lot of skills. His rapping is often off-beat too and yes it was painful to the ear the round before. I can see why all of the contestants (including this Andup guy) hated him. Andup on the other hand is a good rapper, but it ends at that. He's just a good rapper. I can't find anything about his rap that's particular bad, but there's nothing that's particularly great either. You can say he's good but won't go anywhere with such skills/talent/voice. His personality sucks too to be honest. I kind of agreed with him at first but it became too much afterwards.

솔직히 데뷔하고 진짜 이제 막 연예계 활동 시작한 아이인데 아무리 세븐틴 프로젝트에서 많은 피드백과 혹은 혹평 등을 들었다고 해도 버논 입장에서는 연습생 신분으로 대표님에게 피드백 받았다고 생각하면 되는거지만 자기가 자신있어 하는 분야에 도전하는 건데 한번도 보지 못 한 사람이 자기를 그렇게 극도록 혐오하고 대놓고 까내리는데 얼마나 속으로는 상처 받고 자신 때문에 갓 데뷔한 세븐틴 이미지가 안 좋게 보이면 어떡하지 걱정하겠지. 그리고 앤덥이 하는 행동들 그걸 누가 좋게 봐줌? 그냥 인성이 안 좋은거임. 그리고 대결상대 뽑을 때 고유명사 뭐 이러는거는 쇼미에서 흔하게 있는 기싸움이라고 생각이 들지만 앤덥처럼 선 넘는 발언은 하지 않음. 고로 앤덥이 선을 넘었다는거임. 솔직히 나도 누군가에게 진짜 1년동안 다굴 당하고 누군가가 나를 혐오하는걸 계속 당하고 살아왔는데, 처음에는 그래도 그 사람을 좋게 보려고 해도 나중에는 진짜 이름만 들어도 컨디션 안 좋아지고 표정 굳어지더라. 그리고 그거 트라우마로 남아서 지금 일 해결 되었는데도 계속 생각남. 근데 버논이 또한 상처가 많이 남았겠지. 그 당시에는 생각도 많아지고 오히려 멤버들이 아무렇지 않게 평소대로 대해주니까 더욱 미안해졌겠지. 그리고 13소년 표류기에서 용기내서 말했고, 그걸 형들이 너무 잘 다독여주고 괜찮다고 난 좋았다고 말해주는 걸 보고 너무 고마워하고 그걸 극복해냈겠지.

It is not about who is more successful . Its about rapping skills . Vernon said that he just came to SMTM for fun and to promote his group . Andup said why join the show when you dont have the passion to rap . Becoz underground rappers devoted their life to rap . They make money by rapping and those rappers that came to smtm wants to show off their skillls so why vernon came to smtm just for fun when there are many passionate skilled rappers out there eliminated when those who are not passionate rappers get to the next round . :D thats all . Hope theres no beef between us . I just elaborate what Andup felt Becoz its really hard to make money underground since everyone now are more toward kpop . Back then theres alot of people came to underground rap concerts now theres only few left which is counted .

Tbh, I never like SMTM...When I first watched this programme I can say that I hate it cuz all the contestants and judges are so mean :( I mean yea this is a rapping contest and there must be this badass vibe but for me they are kinda crossing the line and mocking others. And they always curse in this show gives me bad feelings. Hansol was still young and insecure and he never got exposed much to the world is what hurts me the most. He was all innocent and trying his best but the way they treated him really trigger me. This was all about inner battle hansol was too young for this shit. For me he is just like an angel standing among them. Always potrayed a positive attitude and even though everyone was being mean to him he was just smiling and feeling proud of himself. And the thing I don't really understand is why the judges always hardcore roasted him. Well I always think is because they are kinda jealous of his face or whatever LOL

Some fans are just too salty that Vernon was beaten by Andup and make excuses that he did it just cause he doesn't want to lose during that round. If they watch SMTM4, they will see how a strong rapper he is. And he could beat most of the rapper that's been eliminated. Even a lot of underground rapper said Vernon doesn't deserve to pass the 2nd round and they want to eliminate them while the rest want to go against him cause they want to win.
I'm saying this again for the nth time. Vernon came to SMTM for experience and other than that his participation in the competition was also around the time that they were preparing for their comeback. He didn't have the luxury of time to prepare for his raps and everything because they were to busy. i hope they wont hate on him because of this. Guys, we have to be realistic here. It doesn't matter who "sounds" better, because in rap, the lyrics are the most important, and it seems that Vernon didn't do so well on the lyrics. Without being biased, Vernon was always picked on because he was the weakest in terms of rapping ability, so basically, eliminating unnecessary rappers out of the competition. Other than that, I'm glad that Vernon tried something new with this show and challenged to better himself. And no, he wasn't called out because they were jealous of his looks, I don't know where people got that idea from.

You guys don't get it. There were so many rappers in SMTM that are desperate for the chance to make it big through the show. On the other hand, Vernon is there simply to promote his idol group, which naturally earned him the ire of the others, especially the underground rappers.

Honestly, I like Vernon but Andup was obviously better. He lacks skills. Andup on the other hand has plenty of that. Vernon has the raspy voice that personally like but he lacks a lot of skills. His rapping is often off-beat too and yes it was painful to the ear the round before. I can see why all of the contestants (including this Andup guy) hated him. Andup on the other hand is a good rapper, but it ends at that. He's just a good rapper. I can't find anything about his rap that's particular bad, but there's nothing that's particularly great either. You can say he's good but won't go anywhere with such skills/talent/voice. His personality sucks too to be honest. I kind of agreed with him at first but it became too much afterwards.
Andup acts like he"s all that but he auditioned to be an idol! then he disses idols. what a hypocrite!!! and just like Tablo said, there are some idol rappers that are better than some "underground" rappers.

솔직히 데뷔하고 진짜 이제 막 연예계 활동 시작한 아이인데 아무리 세븐틴 프로젝트에서 많은 피드백과 혹은 혹평 등을 들었다고 해도 버논 입장에서는 연습생 신분으로 대표님에게 피드백 받았다고 생각하면 되는거지만 자기가 자신있어 하는 분야에 도전하는 건데 한번도 보지 못 한 사람이 자기를 그렇게 극도록 혐오하고 대놓고 까내리는데 얼마나 속으로는 상처 받고 자신 때문에 갓 데뷔한 세븐틴 이미지가 안 좋게 보이면 어떡하지 걱정하겠지. 그리고 앤덥이 하는 행동들 그걸 누가 좋게 봐줌? 그냥 인성이 안 좋은거임. 그리고 대결상대 뽑을 때 고유명사 뭐 이러는거는 쇼미에서 흔하게 있는 기싸움이라고 생각이 들지만 앤덥처럼 선 넘는 발언은 하지 않음. 고로 앤덥이 선을 넘었다는거임.
솔직히 나도 누군가에게 진짜 1년동안 다굴 당하고 누군가가 나를 혐오하는걸 계속 당하고 살아왔는데, 처음에는 그래도 그 사람을 좋게 보려고 해도 나중에는 진짜 이름만 들어도 컨디션 안 좋아지고 표정 굳어지더라. 그리고 그거 트라우마로 남아서 지금 일 해결 되었는데도 계속 생각남.
근데 버논이 또한 상처가 많이 남았겠지. 그 당시에는 생각도 많아지고 오히려 멤버들이 아무렇지 않게 평소대로 대해주니까 더욱 미안해졌겠지. 그리고 13소년 표류기에서 용기내서 말했고, 그걸 형들이 너무 잘 다독여주고 괜찮다고 난 좋았다고 말해주는 걸 보고 너무 고마워하고 그걸 극복해냈겠지.

Tbh, I never like SMTM...When I first watched this programme I can say that I hate it cuz all the contestants and judges are so mean :(
I mean yea this is a rapping contest and there must be this badass vibe but for me they are kinda crossing the line and mocking others. And they always curse in this show gives me bad feelings. Hansol was still young and insecure and he never got exposed much to the world is what hurts me the most. He was all innocent and trying his best but the way they treated him really trigger me. This was all about inner battle hansol was too young for this shit. For me he is just like an angel standing among them. Always potrayed a positive attitude and even though everyone was being mean to him he was just smiling and feeling proud of himself. And the thing I don't really understand is why the judges always hardcore roasted him. Well I always think is because they are kinda jealous of his face or whatever LOL
