@@Dee-nonamnamrson8718 it’s not even close. Jonny perfects every type of trick on flat ground. He’s one of the best flat skaters there is of all time. The guy likes redo Rodney Mullen tricks
I often watch these videos before bed cuz there's something very relaxing about them. The repetitiveness, the beautiful background, all nice. The skate industries Bob Ross.
On this concrete you are the creator. Skating should always be fun. It should make you happy. Lets just put in a happy little nollie bigspin over here.
The level of tricks by the pro skaters these days is truly amazing. Really shows the progression of skating over the years. The fact that you replicate them with the amazing scenery in the background is top tier.
Your fakie gazelle looked so clean and really amazing from the side angle. Awesome video, Jonny. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to watch you skate!
I met Shane O'neill in Beijing 2010 in the metro underground. We briefly talked and took a picture together and he ask me what I was doing there. He's such a humble and generous individual.
Johnny kills it so hard.. it’s his skills mixed with the determination to make shit happen that makes him what I would consider a legend.. such a beast..
I think Jonny has his own signature landing.. the smooth semi-stoned landing that looks as effortless as flowing water. Refer to any trick compilation by Jonny
Thanks for showing flat ground. As a nearly 30 skater who has permanent damage to my right ankle and left knee all I can safely do is flat. Now I'm really wanting to turn my hospital flips into alpha flips. Thanks for not just following the hype train! Respect
Johnny...I would absolutely love to see you do a video where you do blunt slide or nose blunt slide. I don't really ever see those anymore and it would be epic to see that. Also I love your videos bro your killing it and you and Jamie G. are my favorite sk8ers
The struggle with that nollie late heel was so relatable. You try the trick and do it a few times but it's sorta sloppy so you wanna refine it, you try to do that and suddenly the trick feels worse than it did before, you slam a few times and suddenly out of nowhere you have it.
Just had a thought watching this. Would placing a bicycle lock-chain around the camera tri-pod save it from the occasional loose skateboard rolling towards it?
Lol. You’re telling me, I’ve been doing Alpha Flips since 2003?!?! Lol. Man. I was calling the 360 Casper Flips. I was doing them regular, switch, fakie, and nollie.
Jonny, what do you think about pop... If you do a lot of pop, you maybe land tricks sooner (more air time helps), but of course it takes more energy (specially if land does not come). Where is the balance? It looks like you would improve a bit, if you focus pop(?). I mean your strength seems to be great technicality more than crazy pop.
you lose a lot of pop from years of injuries. i used to be able to kickflip waist high. now i can barely skate. injuries and age are NO JOKE. stretch and strengthen your ligaments while you are young.
@@vgrepairs Exactly. Also, with the bag of tricks he normally brings to the table to make a video takes up sooo much energy. And it`s fair to say that Jonny is a skate addict so who knows how much energy he uses up off camera while skating. I`d say the dude`s a machine.
you should try doing a straight back flip. Like just try to pop super high and straight up and then just try to sonic the rest of the way like he does on the loops.
hey bro love the content! is there footage of you or anyone else skating that wall ride that's always in the background? would love to see some crazy asshole try and rock to fake or 50 50 stall the top. or anything really haha.
Jonny is super awesome! I dont know if there is a smoother skater today than O'Neil! Rodney Mullen is still the GOAT with no argument that makes sense!
That nollie gazelle was so good.. my goodness.. all the tricks were so good.. the nollie gazelle was probably as steezy as Shane’s.. possibly better.. making things happen.. to be honest though I don’t think there’s really any flat tricks you can’t do in the realms of actual possibilities.. there’s nothing I can think of that you literally haven’t done.. switch frontside triple heel?
Hey ! Kannst du mal vorgeschlagene Tricks aus der community versuchen? Hätte da zwei Tricks von mir die bei dir wohl clean viel besser aussehen! Fakie varial heel revert, fakie toe bigflip
Jonny Giger, one of my favorite skaters out there… What do you guys generally think about cross foot tricks? I might be old and washed up, but cross footed tricks are just painful to watch… and I mean, I know it’s advanced and really good skating, but cross foot tricks just looks like shit… Maybe it’s just me… the degree of difficulty really doesn’t matter, it does not look good… Even when Jonny Giger does them…
There's a certain sense of "fun" to them. To me they feel like somethings 80s skaters would do in freestyle. They don't look "good" but I still like seeing them.
Nah, I think that's fair. The way you phrase it is probably something plenty of people think, landing cross footed is awkward and weird to get used to, not to mention they are harder to do clean and even clean can look off. The appeal in anything cross footed is probably the level of difficulty and a sense of novelty, because it is a new thing for most skaters to learn just for the hell of it. I mean, most skaters want to build a bag of tricks, and even strange stuff like cross foot landing is one more thing in that bag, even if it doesn't look nearly as smooth as say, a tre flip. As to why it doesn't look good? I'd guess just because crossing your legs changes how you coordinate your balance and causes the skater to sorta jerk more on landing because your knees can't do as normal of a flex.
I wanted a board from Jonny so I’ve been talking to a guy that said he was and I almost went threw with it but then he got so disrespectful and I knew right then it couldn’t be Jonny giger he is way to nice to be a dick
I think it's also safe to say that you are one of the best there is in the world too Jonny🔥
Although Jonny's not Shane lvl, he's still one of my fav all-time skaters!
@@Apr0x1m0 he's not on Shane's level in style or street skating, but I bet he's pretty close when it comes to flatground.

Great vibes in this one! Shane is so clean it’s insane. Doing all of these in one session is quite a workout 😅
Thanks for making these videos. Your dedication to skating and flat ground wizardry is legendary in its self.

The Music is allways so fitting! Perfectly edited... ❤️
Dude you are amazing. To land all that in a single session seriously... Next level Jonny.
Shane has been an inspiration for me for over a decade. He is one of, if not the best street skaters to ever do it.
Ok, Johnny Giger, now this is my new favorite video
Johnny is by far my favorite skater .
I'm still trying to land a nollie late front foot kickflip since 2009 lol. You guys are both Beasts forevermore
I wish these vids would show up in my feed more, weird how they suddenly stopped. Keep up the great skating man!

Always look forward to a new JG vid. 😎
So amazing that you could reproduce these flatground hammers

yesssss! here for this series
thank you Jonny for all the contents! keep going bruda
@Johnny, the next video: The crazy rail tricks of Shaun O‘Neal 😅
Fakie Gazelle was 1 one of my faves stylish clean Work Johnny 🎉😃😍
Hey Jonny, great video as always although I do want to note one thing. I think the late flip on the nollie bigspin was on the other side of the board.
Bro that fakie laser was nutty! So proper!
earliest ive ever been to a giger video lol

You are among the Great jonny
jonny you need to try a half cab hospital flip !!! ive only seen it once before
Sick video dude! So im watching on my phone and the music gets cut off for some reason. I would love to know the name of the track at 4:40.
Rolled tf out of my ankle twice today trying that nollie front foot heelflip 😭 ain't giving up that easy tho
Nice work. I wonder if Rodney watches all your videos. You need to do a collaborative video with him.
amazing shane
I like this format, if it sticks I'd love to see the same thing with Jamie Griffin 🔥
Look on the Hop King channel, a few months back they posted a video with Jonny and Jamie playing skate
Dude you are becoming FIRE 🔥 👌🏼 👌🏼 👌🏼
I love how Shane did gazelle spin then a bigger gazelle spin lol

The nollie gazelle is close. Damn close. I just don't understand how Shane pops his so damn high without losing rotational speed? He's unreal.
I want to see you do an Irish flip please!
This is kind of a random question but do you know how many unique flatground tricks youve landed before? I'm sure it is loads!

try his 720 pop shuv it

Try a bullflip
crazy
your voice sounds like vector!
THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT JONNY DOESN'T HAVE THE BERRICS THERE TO BUTCHER HIS FOOTAGE DOWN TO A 30 FPS 720p MESS...
nice
I don't even skateboard so this is all voodoo to me.
Is that Luffy?
It's like PjLadd and Ryan Gallant had a kid.
Saw footage of him as a kid. He's actually got hands instead of feet. Should be illegal for him to skateboard
