Thanks for a great video! I like when crafters don’t cut the mishaps out of the tutorials. We all make mistakes or have supplies that don’t work the way we wanted them to. It’s helpful for me to see someone work out a solution rather than just scrapping the project!
Thank you so much for your kindness, Tracy. 😀 I never cut bits out of my videos. I like watching channels that show errors and rescues, too. It's so helpful for learning. I'm glad my wee video helped you. ☺
Often those clear stamps need a mouse pad or something underneath the card you’re stamping on to get a good impression. Also press on the stamp with your finger to press it down. Great project. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Sue. 😊 I used my gluebook pages underneath once I'd finished filming and got a lovely impression. A mouse pad is a good suggestion, too. Often I pick up the paper and stamp together and press from underneath. That can be risky though. 😅
Indeed, always a way to rescue something. I got a great impression from the dramas after the video by stamping on top of my glue pages. I normally test stamps first; it was such a 🤦♀️ moment. Thanks so much for your kind and helpful comments, Suzie. ☺
I love your videos and how you explain what you're doing. I find sometimes stamping on a surface with a bit of give, like a book, helps to get a better impression, especially if the stamps aren't well cut. Might be worth trying on those stamps you had trouble with. I love how you managed your solution, it worked out really well. Karen xxx
Hi Belinda, I just love this little journal spot! Nostalgic Noel is a beautiful kit. I found the newsletter sign up and have signed up for it just now. TFS 😊
Love your idea! Just a hint when stamping with acrylic stamps you will get a full impression of yoh put your paper on a slightly padded surface before stamping, I use an old mouse pad. Would be sad to see you give up on those cute little stamps.
Thank you, Karen. 😊 I don't give up that easily, at least not when I'm off camera. I put my glue page book under it as soon as I stopped filming and got a lovely stamped impression. A mouse pad is a good idea - I have one somewhere. 🤔
It's probably the papers I have under the mat to flatten out. 🤦♀️ I found it worked nicely if I used my glue page book underneath (first thing I tried after finishing the video). At least I know I can get a good impression with it. Thanks so much for your ideas, and for watching. 😃
Belinda I think your stamp set may have been stored in a way that the stamp has been damaged and the outlines squashed. Often this can be because of something heavy on top of it or being stored in a sunny or hot place. This has happened to me in the past. I had to bin mine as they didn’t work
Fortunately I think they are OK. I tried straight after filming with my gluebook underneath and the wee candle stamped out beautifully. I'm so pleased, because they're sweet stamps. They don't last forever, though. My first ever set of clear stamps (in my teens) are very hard and stiff now, and won't stick to a block. But they actually still work...so far. 🙊 I'm sorry your stamps became unusable, Pam. It's disappointing, isn't it. 🥰🤗

Stamps usually work best if there is something under your paper, like a softer mat or several sheets of paper. 😊

I like this idea. I use stamps but am always unsure if it will come out right after I put so much time into a craft.
Thank you so much. 😊 Crafting can be a fun adventure at times. 😉
Could your grid base have a ripple that is very slight?
