PRS has this thing where their guitars are supposed to be gig worthy out the box after a 1 min tuning from the factory, its just one of the things that helps differentiate them from others, they extend that to their cheapest guitars that are foreign made as well. People swear by them, I have a 594 Mccarty S2, Meyers 2021 Sig, and a Hollowbody 2 Piezo and they are both incredibly fantastic out the box. Fender Typically is cheaper for American made guitars, Gibson comes in at second to a tie for 3rd, and PRS is a bit more premium but from what I have seen price wise their custom stuff is cheaper than Gibson's in some cases. From a quality perspective I think PRS hands down takes the cake, they are anal AF about quality control, other than something like the small scuff I haven't really seen anything majorly bad from them.
I’ve always wanted a PRS, and as soon as I saw this thing in my local music store I had to have it. Unfortunately due to Covid my local store no longer allows people to play the instruments in the store, however I have played many PRS guitars beforehand and watching all these videos on the guitar makes me want it even more. I’m selling an old LTD of mine to fund the purchase and I can’t wait to get it

Stop! You guys are killing me! Lol. When I had the money, I was just starting, and back then bought a $500 Shecter and $500 Ovation, 20+ years ago. Now I can play, can’t afford it! I bought 2 Harley Bentons, and for now that will do. No choice!
I too am a Fender guy, but I do have a 2017 PRS SE Custom 24 in a Tobacco Burst and love it. PRS states that every SE guitar goes through an inspection at their Maryland factory prior to being shipped to the guitar stores. I did change the tuners out to a PRS locking tuner from John Mann USA Guitar Vault and the work great. If you ship those stock tuners to John Mann they will do their magic and convert them to a locking tuner and you’ll save some money, down fall is that you have to wait for the tuners to come back before you can play the guitar. Great video as always!!
1. Bonni pink is gorgeous. Sexy even. 2. Paired with both your amps it sounds great, but with the vox, holy cow it was bright and biting, and during your first riff, very pixies. 3. I thought I had written off the PRS SE line. The only one I had the opportunity to play was a one off at a L&Ms and even through it played and sounded great, it was a bit above my price range, and more importantly I’m pretty sure that it weighed more than the Marshall DSL 40 I was trying it with. So it’s really good to know they come in weight other than battleship. Thanks for the deep dive, Landon!

5:30 Exactly like my new Harley Benton CST 24 T: shielded backside of the cover, Made in Korea Alpha Pot and black painted cavity. The HB is made in Indonesia too. Maybe in the same factory? A direct comparison between this PRS and a HB CST 24 would be interesting. I'm sure the PRS is better (especially the PUs), but is it that better like the price difference tells?
I bought a brand new 2019 cherry sunburst PRS se 24 custom, killer guitar. Truly a beast, worth far more than what I paid for it at GC. That Bonnie Pink grew on me, nice axe. Keep up the great videos. Peace.

I have a used PRS Santana SE. I originally bought a different brand new for under $200, but I found out in a few days that it had a bent neck, so I returned it. I moved up in price point and got real quality with a used PRS !
I am subscribed and I have many guitars including Fender Gretsch Gibson G&L and a PRS Dave Navarro which is really fun. Sweetwater is one of my favorite suppliers because they always follow up with me to make sure I am satisfied.
That color is interesting. It does stand out very well. Sounds excellent though! I like all the bird inlays that add a nice touch the aesthetics. Over all, I like it!
Glad you got into PRS finally. PRS are a pretty guitar, newer ones even prettier than older ones with more color offerings. Your nut set filler issue is annoying, even my old 2008 Korean SE has the nut sticking out on one side, it's not offset, just too wide for the neck by 1mm or so but doesn't bug me. I'm tempted by the newer vibrant colors, the Eriza Verde being my fav, but your pink is sweet too. Hope to get an S2 or CE one day.
I got my eye on a Santana yellow one just like this, that bonne pink is darn unique though, they play and sound great. Quality is awesome, really in joyed the review. Really like the body shape, classy.I have a Mexican Nashville tele and a epiphone Les Paul standard right now. I want one of these bad . My friend has an expensive prs he bought used for 2500 it is a killer guitar.
Hey Landon, sorry I got to the premiere very late so just watched it again. The vibrato arm is a push in type as you know, it's held by friction but that can be adjusted using the smaller Allen key provided. There is a hole on the back of the bridge (rear of the vibrato plate behind the arm) with a grub screw inside it - tightening the grub screw will mean less vibrato arm floppage. Happy stiffness!
Excellent deep dive into your new PRS guitar. I appreciated that you even measured the neck. The Bonni Pink color isn't the worst color available but I have been dreaming about a PRS guitar that is the color Quilt Charcoal. :) I have wanted a PRS since I saw Alex Lifeson playing one in the late 80s/early 90s but could never afford one. I think it looks great, the pink is cool. Overall really nice looking and sounds good. Love the look of Just about anything PRS makes.
