Love your videos and insights for fans (and TMI DD). Would love to see a video about racing fuel--why methanol for sprints? How do you manage fuel for different event formats? And what if any fuel additives are you allowed to play with for different conditions and performance?
I can remember when DD came to Orange County and had no clue what compound to run...bc the rubber was coming rt off the softer compounds...so I told him a 25 or harder!! 😊
With the new Camberless tire , is this going to make setting stagger easier or the same as the old tire? Suppose that’s a better asked question after running them, good luck on the weekend, season, go hard 🏁
As a driver do you prefer tires that grow? Is that something you can feel while running? I wonder with a harder tire how the heat cycle will affect it and if they will glaze over or not. Never did catch the cats name?
I’d prefer a tire that unhooked the cars and slowed them down. Make horsepower less important. I believe a non camber tire does that. We have 4 different size left rears to choose from. Rights are all 105
Every 410 sprint car track enact a $25,000 engine claim & a $75,000 hauler claim. Any person with a valid pit pass & cash can claim anything they see fit. More equality competing against the rich teams. No more 2 teams combining resources into 1 team. Claims would help stimulate new teams to form. Making it easier and quicker to acquire essential parts. Forcing rich teams to reassess their expenditures. While increasing competition between engine builders and after-market engine part suppliers. Lowering costs + increasing teams = better racing. Addition through subtraction is possible.
It’s a good idea on paper. Unfortunately I’m not sure it would ever happen. The most frustrating thing about 410 sprint car racing for me is the fact that our local tracks won’t make changes to rules that don’t follow the world of outlaws. Disappointing
That’s a great question. Open tires were cool because we had so many options. But the way things are nowadays I don’t know how the supply could keep up with the demand if it was an open tire market. It was nothing to have 4 different compounds mounted at one time.
What's a fella to do if he still has a bunch of his Firestone Drag 500's to use up? Ya know what's funny is that I can't really remember my Dad ever {but rarely} needing to buy a new Firestone or M&H back in the day!! I think those front tires back then were made of elephant skin and concrete?
How many car owners pack a Larson seat, on the off-chance he shows up unannounced without a ride? Hey ...... Hélio Castroneves, *GET OUT!* Just shut up and get out. I don't want to hear it Helio. Go play *_Dancing With The Tards_* or something.
Always enjoy the video. Good finish!!!
we ran them in latemodels long ago. the harder tires dont grow. good luck figuring out static stager.
Great job at Lincoln sat night
Great explanation! You guys always put out good videos 👍🏼 love the channel!
You guys are great.

Way TMI MUCH 🤣🤣
Great 👍🏻 ideas btw. Thanks
Good luck this weekend glad you did round two on your video you should go with the harder compound later on this summer a friend for always good luck

That place was a real tire grinder back then
Go get em Billy
DD bringing class to the operation 😂
🤣🤣
Good talk

It shouldn’t change the way we set stagger. But it should change the performance on the track. Less drive
Great video, very informative for us casual enthusiasts.
Thank you
They look good now hopefully they work for yall and I can't want until next video
Thanks for the comparison of the new vs. old tire. What is the price these days and how long do they last?
$319 each. Life of tire depends on Track surface. We don’t know yet
What do they get for a new right rear now adays?
$319 for a rear tire, right and left rear
As a driver do you prefer tires that grow? Is that something you can feel while running? I wonder with a harder tire how the heat cycle will affect it and if they will glaze over or not. Never did catch the cats name?
No growth tires should make the cars unhooked, hopefully better racing. My dad named cat whitey lol
@@billydietrich makes sense 👍
Wait... I heard a guy at Lincoln say Danny don't know shit. Obviously, he does. Good luck with the new shoes. Hope they work out for everyone.
He’s actually good at it 😆😆
The best videos! Be out to watch ya race this season!! Big fan!
Thanks. Make sure you stop bye
Hope all worked out for DD! Things must of been critical!😂😂😂
😂😂
Would you rather camber in the tire or not. Only one size tire for the right, and left no different size tire for stagger
I’d prefer a tire that unhooked the cars and slowed them down. Make horsepower less important. I believe a non camber tire does that. We have 4 different size left rears to choose from. Rights are all 105
@@billydietrich thanks Billy appreciate it. Good luck buddy.🔥💪🇺🇸
I heard through the grapevine the front tires were going to get harder too, any word on that?
As of now they haven’t changed.
Can you still reverse the tire after you groove it? Or will grooving it make it drive just one way? Lotsa comments on your Brother.... lol WillyB
I’d say yes on turning it. He’s a character 🤣🤣
thumbs up and a comment to help your channel
Thank you
Billy, what’s the cost of the new tire ?
Rear tires, $319.00 each. Doesn’t matter left or right rear.
How much do the tires cost?
$319 each
Great video. Where are the new tires manufactured? I hope not china
Lakeville Indiana
Why do you cut the tires
There’s multiple reasons. Stay tuned for a video about just that!!

I can’t believe you stood those tires in front of that classy, beautiful, sprint, car you have! What up with that Billy?
Nice background for this video lol
So what you are saying is you no longer have to think about putting the old rubber on the right way. 😂
Classic 😆😆😆
So are ya a “Spec” tire guy or a open tire guy? Good Luck this weekend tonight should be interesting..

DD had to take a Freddy and wipe the Rahmer....Nice!
😂😂
tires are hard to find right about know
True. Hopefully it gets better soon
Does that mean Danny's no longer full of it
😆😆

😂😂😂
Were they also called Diamond? Tire
Yep! The big right rears were sometimes called "humpy's" too.
Wierd question. Best town to live in pa. Fixing to move
Good question. Adams , Cumberland and York counties are close to tracks
They look visibly narrower and smaller diameter.
Yes you can visually see the difference
Wipe down in the front up in the back. lol
don't get TIRED of the videos.

Guess I'm behind times. No more Goodyear tires ?
To my knowledge the only dirt tire goodyear makes if for NASCAR
@@billydietrich
Correct me if I'm wrong. Didn't WOO mandatory Good Year tires back in the 90s ? I'm old what can I say !
