Good job guys. As a Wyoming land owner its refreshing to see friendly, respectful out of state hunters. As a rule I don't let hunters hunt my place, but if you are respectful I'll put you on the right track. Thanks guys.
Thanks so much for the kind words!
Pronghorn are naturally extremely curious and visual animals, so they’re going to check out anything that doesn’t seem quite right to them. Hence why they would run towards your noise. It’s an asset against other four legged predators because they can easily outrun them, but they can’t outrun a bullet, so it’s a detriment to them from a human predator sense.
Makes total sense man thank you!
@@PNWild you’re welcome. I’m honestly amazed at how many pronghorn hunting videos I see where people are shooting them at 500+ yards. In my experience it’s completely unnecessary if you understand how to exploit their curiosity. I have yet to shoot one at more than 200 yards.
Heck yeah great job guys on getting two nice pronghorn bucks, that are a new species (2 years ago anyway).
Plus way to play by the rules and take advantage of the boundary game. I’m glad that the land owner and ranch hand was nice.
I have 4 points for pronghorn and mule deer 🦌 and really want to go this year. I’m running into many units with less than 30% public land and access is my biggest concern.
Thanks so much! Finding those units with decent public ground that hold antelope is a challenge but they are definitely out there!
@@PNWild you’re quite welcome 🙏 and yes they most certainly are. Everything looks smaller on OnX and GOHUNT Maps. I need to get the county road maps etc
Congrats!! I went on my first Antelope hunt in 2020. I got my buck opening day. The terrain sure was alot different than Iowa!!
Heck yeah! Congrats on your buck!
If I could shoot an antelope in any place in the west, THAT'S the spot I'd want to do it. Incredible scenery and photos! Way to go!
Thanks so much man! Appreciate it a ton! Thanks for watching
Glad too see you guys got this one up. Thanks for sharing boys.
You bet man!
Like the simple format of the film. Looking forward to more videos this year!
Thank you!
Congrats to both of you!!! My son and I are putting in for Wyoming antelope this year. I have 3 points my son has 2 points. Looking at gohunt I’m looking at about six different units trying to decide what one to put in for. Very little public land on all six. Looks like you guys had them same issue with public/private land but were able to make it work. 👍🏻
Thank you very much!
Loved it, great job guys!
Thanks man!
I dont think you couldve asked for better. Those are some handsome animals you got guys :D
No doubt man! Thank you!
Awesome video guys! Big Fan.
Thanks so much!
Love the video, fingers crossed my group will draw our Wy tags this year.
We’ll be going back also!
Great video. Loving your channel guys keep it up.
Very cool hunt! Just shows that if u do ur research and ask u can get it done! Congrats
Thank you!
Red Wall country, I have done a ton of hunting there. Some of my favorite ground.
Beautiful country
Awesome hunt, and great footage.
I've never hunted Antelope, because of numerous knee injuries. However, I think I just might give it a try.
In our experience, this being the only one, there wasn't much hiking involved. Just have to know the public private boundary lines!
@@PNWild thanks for the response.
Being a Skagit County resident we don't get open elk hunting areas (gmu's) but I dont know the areas south to hunt.
Well, keep up the great work and content.
Maybe I'll see you in the woods.
Or at least see you on one of my trail cams... keeping it local - awesome job guys !
@@spottenstock8722 will do, good luck this season!
Great video!
Thank you
Video turned out awesome! Good Job.
Thanks man!
Great video fellas!! Keep them coming 👊🏼
Thank you!
Sounds breezy there. Was there a constant wind you guys always had deal with on your stalks?
Yes very much so, lots of wind in that valley
Great video! Do you mind sharing what unit this is and what time of the year this was? Sorry if I missed it in the video. Going for my first time hopefully in September.
I’d rather not share the unit out of respect to the folks who already apply for the unit and hunt it. Hope you understand! And thanks for watching!
Look up "Red Wall" in wyoming near Kaycee.
Great job guys:) nice hunt:)
Thanks!
Cool video, liking the videos you guys put out a lot.
I was a little bummed about the “draw” part. I’m pretty sure Wyoming used to have OTC antelope tags. NM has gotten so ridiculous at getting tags as a resident I was going to look into bow hunting antelope in Wyoming this year.
We’ll take it! Every 3 years isn’t awful for that much fun of a hunt! And thank you!
Waaaaah!!! The state wants to manage the resource!!!! Waaaaah!!!!
@@SammyMoore-tg5gs
Sounds like the noises your mama makes boy.
Hunted that spot in 2017. That area is amazing country
We’ll be going back! Awesome country!
What zone?
When is the high buck film coming out??
Not sure yet!
Hey, I know this video was 2 years ago, but can you tell me what you used to attach your Spartan Bipod to the Marsupial Bino harness?
Pat actually just rigged that up himself.
What rifles are you guys using? Looking to do the same hunt next year.
Tikka veil 7mm rem mag
they are in no way related to the goat family
Why camera/lense were you filming with when he got hands on the bigger buck?
Cameras used were Sony a7iii Sony ax700 and Nikon z7
I'm surprised yall didn't just drag those lope out. I know that exact spot on where yall are at. I always see big goats when driving by.
Totally could of but figured awe why not cut them up haha.
Very nice video. If you want to collaborate some time around Sheridan Wyoming let me know. I can help with elk, deer, pronghorn and more.
We’re interested, bob has points to draw antelope this year. Reach out to us on Instagram
@@PNWild Sounds great I will do that
What rangefinder you guys use?
Vortex razor 4000
Love the tikka rifles!
Congratulations on your 1st hunt.. I've hunted in Wyoming since the seventies to the seventies. The last time I was there was a 1995.. Going back this year and found out they do not send you ranchers information anymore. So it's going to be interesting using this app.. There is a bunch of private land surrounding BLM land.. Is did you always have cell service or did you have to go offline?
You call the regional office and ask for a list.
How'd you make that intro and those cool effects?
Adobe after effects!
How accurate is on X? I don’t wanna trespass at all
Very accurate. But always be careful!
It’s a phone based gps. It can be accurate within 20’, but it is much better to leave yourself a large margin of error like 25 yds
What unit were you guys hunting
I’m Jeff, I talk to everybody! Even when Im catching fish or backpacking and racing to setup camp before dark
Hahaha it helps to be a chatty Kathy every once in a while
What unit was this?
I hunted that the day after and saw the carcasses
No way! Well it was pretty lucky for us to have that opportunity.
Ed O Taylor?
I am from Wyoming
Do you guy's need a film permit for that hunt?
