I've always considered Charlotte more of an unknowing agent of chaos rather than evil like Vendetta. It's why Vendetta will never be able to kill Charlotte, because chaos can't be defeated like evil can. I don't really think Charlotte is knowingly causing havoc like some theories say.
Vendetta is like someone like Lex Luthor while Charlotte is more the Joker. Vendetta despite everything is a person, someone who has reason for actions and does things deliberately. Charlotte on the other hand is more a force of nature, if there is a reason to her actions it's almost tangled in a weird way, her actions almost come off as if she's some kind of force of nature with an almost accidental torment to other.
I am so blessed that I got to grow up on this show. I watched it when it was on during my middle school years and it struck a major chord with me. I adored how there were two lead girls who didn't care about clothes and boys. They were simple yet so complex. Watching the show led me to the web series, where I remember the crude art style made me uncomfortable but I was still so mesmerized by it. I remember watching a fan art video of MF on RUclips set to I Hate Everything About You by Three Days Grace. Thank you, sincerely, for reminding me of this beautiful show. I hope one day Winfrey will get the rights back and expand upon the universe. I'd do it myself if I could. My day has been made better watching this video.
Seeing the comparisons between Pollyanna and Charlotte made me believe that the TV show was going to have Charlotte go through that same arc if the series continued. Too bad the show was canceled but glad it’s still being fondly remembered.
I believe Fairly OddParents actually had a 6-episode first season since Christmas Every Day was produced as part of the second season, which premiered in August 2001 in other countries but was held off from airing in America due to 9/11 Also reportedly Steve did hear about the spinoffs and didn't seem to mind. He never said hating spinoffs, he just said he didn't see any spinoffs happening. Vincent Waller confirmed this.
Honestly, while I'm so sad that we never got to see where the episodes went, I'm SO glad it didnt get run to death and defiled by Nick's tendency to cash in too much and make shows lose their souls.
For me, Making Fiends wasn't something I grew up with, but was the mysterious show at the forefront of one of my fondest childhood memories. Always in the back of my head, it took me years to actually figure out where the distinct character designs I remembered came from. When I tell you I got HOOKED on this show after originally finding the episodes on youtube...Still, this video was so in-depth and well produced, it got me even more invested than I was previously. You took something I've been fascinated by since childhood and turned it on its head. You made a TWO AND A HALF HOUR project feel like a succinct 20-minute video essay with just how engaging it was. I cannot believe this doesn't have hundreds of thousands of views. Instant sub. Can't wait to see what you do in the future :o)
While I never watched this show when I was little, I have occasionally heard of it over the years because a RUclipsr I watched liked it. I decided to watch it a couple years ago, and I actually enjoyed it! It really does stink that the entire TV show’s length is just a little bit shorter than this video. I really wish we got to see those 7 cancelled episodes made (21 segments!), but who knows? Maybe we’ll see those scripts someday. One more thing, there were actually promotional shorts made for the series that were hosted on TurboNick, and occasionally aired on Nicktoons in late 2008. 5 of them can be found on RUclips, but there is one still missing. It stinks that even a show like this has lost media. I really liked the video by the way :)

I’m glad I coincidentally found this video while binge watching Making fiends web show and the tv show. I’m so surprised this video has 800 views because this retrospective is amazing and deserves way more recognition for how much work you put in this video. I had some knowledge about Amy winfrey’s work with how she worked on South park, directed the best episodes of Bojack Horsemen, and of course Making fiends but I never realized just how prolific her work was as an animator and it’s a shame that it’s not talked about as much as the controversy surrounding Making fiends and Nickelodeon. That’s what I appreciate about your video that it’s truly a deep dive into not only the history of Making fiends but the creator, the different characters within the show, and how corporatized the animation industry has gotten with the hbo max tax write offs. Glad to see a video discussing Making fiends than just it being cancelled and I’m interested in seeing more of your content.

I finished watching this video yesterday and I gotta say thank you so much for this video It gave me a lot of perspective/Info on Amy Winfrey as a creator and it makes me ever more pissed at greedy corporations who decide to stick with old IPS and never take risks as well as their practice of canceling shows to save/get a few bucks and this makes me even more happy that Indie animation is booming

One question about the show. Why are all the saporting cast start with m Marvin .Malakai .mort .maggie. Marion. mr milk and mrs minty like why all m is it like misery or misfortune 😮
