Mexico has to be my most anticipated race this year. Good or bad, it’s going to be interesting to see how NASCAR does internationally (even if it is just south of the border).
I just hope that for Mexico NASCAR doesn't transfer its inconsistencies in race direction to Latin America but it's great that NASCAR can expand to other markets.
You nailed the top 10 in my opinion. Except for the order. In 1979 my mother and father drove three kids in a motorhome 1700 miles from New Brunswick Canada to Daytona Beach for the 500. It was two weeks of amazing racing at the big track and the short tracks. it just doesn't have the same oath anymore for me. So I would move that back to 7th. The race I'm most looking forward to is Mexico. Just a thought from an older and wiser man than you. Well older anyway. Thanks so much I always enjoy your show.
I'm really intrigued at how Mexico City will turn out for the Cup and Xfinity Series. The track hasn't been used since 2008 for the Xfinity Series, and this is NASCAR's first points race outside of the US since the Trucks raced at Canadian Tire in 2019. Same with Rockingham. Xfinity hasn't raced since 2004, and Trucks since 2013.
Alex Bowman won Joliet, so basically this is the last race we'll see in the Chicago market. Like SoCal, it's been abandoned to the wolves that are F1 and IndyCar
I am going to Miami on my honeymoon to catch a cruise and the race after getting back to shore. Wife has never been to a race so I am hoping she can get hooked. Hoping for a good Penske showing and good weather
In no particular order, these races have my interest this year: - Chicago Street Race (if they can catch a break with weather, then it could be pretty good) - Spring Xfinity Bristol (Xfinity racing at Bristol has been pretty good and I’m excited to see the second date return) - Trucks Lime Rock Park (from what I’ve seen of the overview of the track, should be an interesting event to see play out) - Autódromo Hermanos Rodrígeuz (yes, it’s a double dip of returning & new for both series… but still excited to see this new addition) - Rockingham (seeing this track make a return is great and hopefully we see it back on the Cup side again real soon) - Trucks Charlotte Roval (including it because it’s going to be such a chaotic mess that I’m just a sicko to see what comes out of it) - COTA (they’re running a different configuration this year. Curious how it differs/compares to the F1 version that we have been running on) - Spring Bristol (double dipping with this weekend, but I’m just overall curious to see if the anomaly remains consistent in daylight since it was Dr.Jekyl/Mr. Hyde last year for the Spring event to Fall event) - ARCA DuQuoin State Fairgrounds (had to throw an ARCA event in there somewhere plus it’s a dirt race - double win) - Coke 600 (first trip to this race this year, first non-short track, and first proper trip to North Carolina. Looking forward to this weekend as a fan essentially making a first trip to NASCAR’s Mecca)
The Phoenix finale is one of my most anticipated races only because I'm gonna start journalism school this year, and there's a chance I could be covering that race
There are races I’m looking forward to, but I’m not excited for any of them for the first time in my life. I have thoroughly enjoyed this off-season. Last year did a lot to damage the brand of Nascar in my eyes. I’ve always heard the criticism of WWE on wheels, but last year, particularly because of the officiating and rule changes in calls that we saw mid and post race really brought wwe on wheels energy.
Every time somebody says going back to an older track is a step back for the sport I want to break something. Bowman Grey is one of the most legendary venues in the history of American motorsports and it should be respected as such. Same with tracks like North Wilkesboro and Rockingham.
Really looking forward to the Daytona 500 because it’s the season kickoff. Can’t wait. And the return of Rockingham will be awesome. As well as the Coke 600. That will be a big race.
I'm really excited for Spring Bristol It's a month later, but if you live in East TN, you know the conditions will be very similar to March. If the rain stays away. There's a solid chance last year's Spring Bristol race is replicated. It may even be better now that teams know what may happen.
I don't mind the clash being a part of the year each year, but I do feel like they need to change up the cars if they're going to do it. Martinsville is already somewhat of a parking lot. And it's an exciting parking lot, but still, Martinsville already has a lot of nose to tail stacking and constant bumping due to congestion. If they're going to have a race at a track that is 0.25 miles instead of Martinsville's 0.50 miles, then (in my mind) they need to either make the cars lighter or reduce the horsepower of the cars, so that way they can actually race through the whole track and it isn't just a series of endless drag races and bump and runs. And especially too if it's going to be an exhibition (non-points) race, then they could even make the cars unique for that race.
Well, here are some of the races I'm looking forward to for the 2025 season across all 3 series: 1st up is Mexico City because while the Xfinity Series is returning there for the first time since 2008, it'll be the first time the Cup Series will race there and it'll be a challenge for them. 2nd, the truck series will race at Lime Rock Park and the Charlotte Roval for the first time ever and both of those tracks will be a challenge for the truck series. And finally, Rockingham returns to the sport on Easter Weekend and while the truck series will race there for the first time since 2013, the Xfinity Series will return there for the first time since 2004 and it'll be a challenge for both of those series, but it's great to see Rockingham return and I hope it puts on a great show. All-in-all, in the end, that's all I've got to say, so goodbye!
as far as most pumped for... DAYTONA. maybe a little biased, since its gonna be my first nascar race im going to. interested to see the rock back, mexico city. and for pure great racing... Phoenix championship.
I know in your video you touched on most anticipated races of the year, I may have a problem because now I did hear my CW station in Houston which owned by nextstar I might not be on to watch them when they return why? A Carriage Dispute I know I remember they had it with Direct TV Disney and ESPN last year and college football fans were mad about that. Now Optimum and Altice took CW off the air, from my station, So What Am I gonna do? Were talking the whole Xfinity Series season. I remember when I went to Indiana in 2016 there was a dispute like this and my Grandma who lost her sister sadly that's why we went there couldn't watch shows like Bold and The Beautiful and young and the restless, she watches those 2 shows a lot. But couldn't at that time and the cbs station there wasn't available, so she couldn't for a few days. Now how the Eff am I going to watch Xfinity Series races on CW, it might be the only thing I'd watch on that network! Iceberg what am I going to Do? I wonder if your station in Nashville where you live is effected. I know my is, I didn't watch anything on CW for years and then they get NASCAR and now in their first full season I don't know if i'll be able to watch it. OH THIS MAKES ME MAD! And they return in a few weeks what do I do?!
Personally, I look forward to being at one of the Kansas races. As a Western Nebraska guy, it kind of is a home track (approx. 600 miles from home), and I'm surprised I haven't gotten a chance to see a live NASCAR race yet since I started listening to races live Midway in 2017.
in my last comment I meant to mention this. Super Speedways should be starting 43 cars. For the Daytona 500 that would give so much more excitement to be more teams trying to get in. And I hate when I say that anyone says well it would Debbie up the purse. We all know Nascar has enough money to make up the purse difference. that's become very obviously hasn't it. We need seven non-chartered starters in super speedway races. Just a thought.
1.) Daytona 500 2.) Coke 600 3.) Southern 500 4.) Brickyard 400 5.) Rockingham What I'm not looking forward to: The Phony Playoffs! Miss the racing this offseason but not the playoffs.
Does anyone else realize Winston-Salem on February 2 is literally freezing cold? Goodyear might have to ship in a truck load of snow tires. They might get enough diehard fans to make it look okay for one year but it will die quickly after that.
I used that word a few times never should have done it myself did in a long video, But only I did cause I was really really really really really angry, yeah I know why I was mad, what happened last week is what I can say, But I hope next season goes better but I don't think using the GD Word in your video was your best idea. But I am hopeful but I am not 100% All In to put it nicely. I know this you hadn't done that in your videos I think in 4 years maybe. anyhow I am hopeful NASCAR doesn't make so many bad calls as we saw last year. But yeah I hope also everything goes smoothly but I know this I might not be able to see the Prime races because mainly I don't like streaming, and also I may a day or two after watch it. But it'd be on RUclips so don't try to spoil me too much late spring early summer.
I don’t think there’s any reason to worry about Bristol. The problem is the car not the track, same with the other short tracks. I could see the Bristol spring date moving to the Nashville Fairgrounds at some point, but that’s still a good few years away.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind Martinsville as the finale if it's one Martinsville race in the season and it's also the ONLY 500 lap race of the season. If both Bristol races were shortened to 400 laps, then I would consider that a possibility.
I lose more and more interest every year since they left Chicagoland, and watch fewer and fewer races. Think I'll watch Bowman gray for the LOLs and the 500 because it's the only race that matters. I regret watching the roval anymore because when I turned off the TV Logano was "eliminated" yet somehow he's the champion. Screw that crap.
BG will be just as bad as LA. Rockingham is new pavement and will be single groove. Mexico will just be another boring RC. Atlanta manufactured Drama. Darlington is fine. Daytona, zzzzz. Daytona 500, zzzz no passing fuel saving. Martinsville, they better hope they get lucky again.
What races are you most looking forward to in 2025?
The Coca Cola 600 without a doubt
The iceberg 500
For some reason I'm sooooo excited for the bowman gray
Although exited for the rock
The Daytona summer race because I will be there!
Mexico has to be my most anticipated race this year. Good or bad, it’s going to be interesting to see how NASCAR does internationally (even if it is just south of the border).
Kyle Busch gets arrested the moment he steps into the border crossing or out of the plane
Kyle Busch is gonna need a backup driver for that race 😭
I just hope that for Mexico NASCAR doesn't transfer its inconsistencies in race direction to Latin America but it's great that NASCAR can expand to other markets.
To top it all off the race in Mexico will be a Quad Header weekend between Nascar Mex Trucks, Nascar Mex Series, Nascar Xfinity and Nascar Cup
should be least anticipated. another boring rc
I'd say the 500 is #1 for me. Always one of the most exciting races of the year.
Agreed. It's the Super Bowl of auto racing
Can't wait to see racing back at Rockingham. It's so close to where I live and now I can now go to it in person.
Too bad it's only on cable, though. Not a good way to show its comeback
@@S.K.R.E.Inc. trucks and ARCA will be on cable (FS1). Xfinity won't be on cable though (CW)
@@TankSlapprExcept the CW is pretty much cable in most areas of the country.
@@runrafarunthebestintheworld Hopefully they'll stream it live on the app.
Honorable mention because of the stacked field: the Duels.
We call then the Twin 125s, like it was supposed to stay named as (or the Twin 150s, cause they did increase it by 25 miles)
Homestead standing alone In the corner…
😔
Rumors have it ., upgrades for “ fan experience “ …. but honestly most Florida teams don’t get fans to come in person
And the brickyard
@@brinleynicholson4588the brickyard is just another race again sorry.

Charlotte, Atlanta, Iowa, and both Darlingtons
I'm excited for Chicago street race hoping it's sunny

Daytona 500, Both Atlanta races, both Kansas races, Daytona Summer, both Talladega races, Coke 600
Don't forget Homestead
Praying for a beautiful, sunny Chicago race
As a former ticket holder, I hope it rains every year until they return to the purpose-built speedway in Joliet.
Alex Bowman won Joliet, so basically this is the last race we'll see in the Chicago market. Like SoCal, it's been abandoned to the wolves that are F1 and IndyCar
I’m really looking forward to Dover I feel likes it’s had solid racing the past few years
Imagine if Suarez blows an engine on lap 1 at Mexico City and Kyle Busch wins
Oh my god. People would be booing Kyle Busch out of the race track.
I am going to Miami on my honeymoon to catch a cruise and the race after getting back to shore. Wife has never been to a race so I am hoping she can get hooked. Hoping for a good Penske showing and good weather
That's going to be an epic vacation. My GF and I want to do a similar trip if they make that the championship weekend again. Have some fun in the sun!
In no particular order, these races have my interest this year:
- Chicago Street Race (if they can catch a break with weather, then it could be pretty good)
- Spring Xfinity Bristol (Xfinity racing at Bristol has been pretty good and I’m excited to see the second date return)

I’m hyped for Kansas manly bc it’s my first race I’m going to but I think it’ll be a good race
I say Alanta has been good cup wise. They NEED to put the superspeedway package on the xfinity and trucks.
Its unfortunate about the fires in la but I guess NASCAR got lucky that they didn’t have the clash in la this year

how is homestead and Bristol not on this list
My hometown is 15-20mins from Rockingham. NASCAR would come back after I leave🙄
