I love this. It's so authentic. When you compare this recording in Paris with the polished Los Angeles performance DVD, you can tell that most of the music here, including the electronic effects, are done there live on stage using the strings, xylophone, and keys, while at Los Angeles, Adam's voice was pitch-corrected and much of the music was piped in with the instruments playing merely as a supplement. This type of show may not be good enough for a DVD, but it shows the musicians' stage talent and Adam's imperfect, lovable self. It's the side of him that just loves music and is willing to share it, however rough, with people who find joy in it.
I LOVE ADAM SO FREAKING MUCH especially when I watch videos of his older concerts! It's a ton of fun watching him get so into his songs. And when he dances. And gets awkward. And a whole lot of other things!
