yeah i'm pretty sure starship is prohibiting the girls from really mentioning the group despite the members still being friends. hitomi talked about how they all have a groupchat together still up and running and how they talk there, how all 11 of them congratulated her on her debut, in music shows you can see yujin and wonyoung smiling and interacting with the others. sometimes some of the girls even go out for lunches and post photos from it, so they all obviously still talk or at least are in contact, so i wonder if it's the same as yg for example not letting lisa appear in sorn/minnie's vlogs etc, if they just tell the girls that they can't talk about it. because most of the other members talk about the group from time to time, yena especially
IZONE WILL FOREVER IN MY TOP3 fav Group I was hard stanning chaewon and eunbi since they were infinites hoobaes from woolimin but I also ended up loving Jo yuri soooo much as well as yena, nako and yujin after the group debut I became to love them all so much 2.5 years was too short

Btw the clip near the end where you said Eunbi looks so good is from their Sequence - One-reeler premiere (a performance video on the M2 channel) which I highly recommend! They also have one MV that I believe you haven't seen, D-D-Dance (it was originally gate-kept on the Universe app but was posted in full on youtube when that system closed down), it's great!
They also have cute choreography videos for b-sides Spaceship and Pretty, special MVs for Airplane and Parallel Universe (their goodbye song) and adorable dance practices for Up and O' My. As well the live stages of Rumor, AYAYAYA and Highlight for their elegant/mature concepts, So Curious and Sunflower for their cute concepts and Merry-Go-Round for something in-between are all worth checking out sometime!
The clip they played of Parallel Universe from the concert sounded soooo good. I remember back when MVs were exclusive to that stupid ass Universe app. I think GIDLE had a variety show stuck on there
@@KpopPrince Yeah, at least some things were released publicly later on, but still those songs never ended up getting much attention despite usually being great, OMG, WJSN, VIVIZ all had songs there, Soojin's last MV with Idle was there, all buried for so long

One I think to focus on the new group I’ve. And probably because of the boycott 2.
But, at least with hybe/source they let ssamkkura mention izone. To pull the fan base and what not. At the end of the day u know. They can freely interact and go to events if they have time in their schedule to support a member.
Ssamkkura went to eunbi Japanese movie premier event last fall in Korea. Along w yuri, and some other members.
In fact, they didn't even get to do half of their contract period because of bad news and the global pandemic. That's why the fans asked for a little more extension.

The thing with survival shows with judges is that they can be influenced by the producers of the show to pick a certain way, and they also form biases just like the viewers do.
Since they can't openly rig the results anymore, the producers resort to tactics like coersing the judges' narratives and using screen time and evil edits to get the audience to feel certain ways about the trainees they want and don't want.
I think you should watch the shows and try to just ignore the shadyness of MNet or whoever the network is that's hosting the show. Either that or play into it and dissect the underhanded tactics that you see being used. You will also get to see many members from many groups you enjoy make their first appearance to the public. It's like the first chapter of their lore. As an Orbit, lore is part of your DNA.
It gets even crazier when you see them make their 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th appearance on these types of shows. It hits hard when you see a favorite from a previous show that didn't make it, find success on a subsequent try. Sprinkle in a few members from already active groups in these shows like CLC's Yujin, and you have a great mix.
Also, if you want some more wholesome survival shows, you can check out Season 3 of Produce Japan, and Chuang Asia 2024. They have very very little or even none of the evil Mnet tactics.
Even though I hate the editing style of the MNET shows, I do miss watching them. To me, when I was reacting to them, it felt like the whole kpop world was also watching Kingdom and Queendom 2. Queendom Puzzle less so, but I still loved it because it showcased a lot of smaller groups.
There really hasn't been anything quite like that recently. It felt like hardly anyone cared about the new Road to Kingdom so I didn't watch it.
I'm not opposed to going back and watching older stuff either. Girls Planet or Produce, MIXNINE even. Like you said, being able to see idols I love on there before they settled into their current groups is a huge draw.
@KpopPrince I also remember you saying in a couple of reactions the reasons why you didn't watch R U Next and I-Land 2. I agree that these shows are heavily flawed, but I still feel they should be watched once. I would treat it like you are watching a type of variety content that just happens to be uber competitive with shady editing, lol. I've only rewatched them twice, while I've watched Girls Planet and the 2 Produce girls seasons a combined total of at least 50. (I like subbing to reactors Patreons and watch their survival show reactions. I'm currently on episode 8 of Queendom Puzzle on yours).
There are too many iconic moments from these shows that every K-pop fan should see, imo. I think if you focus on the good parts, the bad ones will have less of an effect.

I hope to see you react to Produce 48 and GP999 the most. I mean, the first 3 girls you get to meet on Produce 48 are your girl Yena with Sihyeon and Yiren of Everglow. That's worth the price of admission by itself.
The cosmic theme only started in IZ*ONE. But I think the cosmic theme is only on their group logo (12 stars/constellations being one). Their concept is more of elegance than cosmic. It doesn't exist in I.O.I, Wanna One, or X1 (which was the group formed during IZ*ONE's reign).

yeah I also feel it's pretty much the opposite of what he says.
They called it less when her image in Le Ssera was emerging when she was in IZ*ONE, starting from Panorama. If only they had continued, they would have the signature sound of IZ*ONE, but just more mature.
I guess I've seen a little bit of both? I remember people being unsure of her more mature vibe when Le Sserafim debuted

I like seeing the progression of the members, but I’ll always be bitter that Chowon was booted from the group. I hope everyone who was negatively affected got compensation
also you DEFFINITELY should check out vampire and buenos aires (their other japanese releases). vampire has to be one of, if not my favorite song from them
ALSO sorry for the yap, but one the story really pissed me off. ik it couldn't be helped and all, y'know, covid considered, but it was liteerally just two days of us watching them in front of the cameras and not being able to really properly say goodbye. especially in the last moments of the concert when everyone was saying their last words to us, some of the members really weren't doing well, especially minju and chaewon (who i am fairly certain had some sort of panic attack or something similar, from the way she was breathing and just struggling in general, crying so hard she genuinely couldn't breathe) and the staff did nothing. they just had her sit there, on camera struggling with no help, and we had to just watch her break down being unable to help and show our love. it was extremely painful (on one hand i am glad we got to see them at least one last time, especially through video, that way intl fans could watch, but on the other hand a live concert, as impossible as it was during covid, would've been the best for them (though on the other other hand a lost of smaller groups don't even get a last comeback, let alone a concert, and just fade into nothingness, so at least something i guess))
While watching the final ENOZI CAM I was assuming there was more than the final goodbyes they give at the end of the video. Because even those to the camera were super short, like they didn't get to say everything they needed to or couldn't.

I'm pretty sure after those two concerts, they released a video related to some short clips they showed during those concerts, but other than that, the members themselves didn't really get to say goodbye in any other way. Also the goodbyes were a bit longer than shown in the video. Some members had to take a lot of time to talk, like chaewon, while some had fairly short goodbyes, like hitomi if I remember correctly, but yeah, even the longer ones were only a few minutes long at most, so definitely not remotely long enough haha

I still think the title of the original video is a tiny bit misleading, iz*one were the last produce group standing, and the last to disband, but they were not the last produce group. x1 was the last produce group. and this is all without considering the fact that girls planet 999 and boys planet are seasons 5 and 6 of produce just with different names, and the fact that there's also produce 101 japan, and I think chuang is also somewhat related to produce? but I could be wrong
To me IZ*ONE is the best group ever existed. While I'm sad that they disbanded, I'm also glad that they are giving lots of good music separately :)
I know there were Wiz*ones that tried to start a boycott of IVE because they thought Starship was the main reason IZ*One disbanded. I wouldn't be surprised if that played a part in Starship not wanting Yujin and Wonyoung to talk about the group.

You know what lee gaeun was set to debut she was the popular korean member but producers just booted out of her from the lineup cuz they think she was old , and for cube chowon they think she was tan to be in group so instead of them they rigg/add 2 members who was not supposed to debut in final lineup which i know but i am not giving you their name it will be controversial and also yes sakura was supposed to be in center but mnet cant accept foreign member as centre so in boys planet fans voted the shit out of zhanghao for no 1 btw boys planet is still the greatest survival show ever made with iland in korea (pd101 japan the girls is no 1 in world) with best lineup except one guy which koreans voted
In fact Starship has nothing to do with produce 48 It was Season 4 X they were charged. You can refer to the court decision. People have no idea how much hate Yujin and Wonyoung had to go through by the false info and rumour at such young ages.

The members do bring IZ*One up a lot besides IVE. Well, Yujin mostly forgets that she is supposed not to sometimes. Starship definitely told them not to.
