Thanks for the review. If I trade in my 21 outlander 450, i will be getting an HD5, But the 21 450 has been a really reliable machine and a nice ride on gravel roads and sand. I have heard some bad stories on the 570 with premature brake issues and difficult to service, but my 450 is super simple and no plastic to remove for the belt change or oil filter, also the belt takes about 20 min to change out at 4000 miles and my brakes and tires are in great shape at 900 miles. safe travels fellas.
Great review on this outlander HD5. I’ve noticed you had in high range while on the off-road course, and it really should be in low range for that kind of stuff. It may have a good bit of power but you’ll end up burning, and ruining the drive belt. An ATV could have 40hp or 90hp but should always run it in low range for technical/muddy terrain.
13 months ago I brought home a brand new Can-Am Outlander 570 DPS to trail ride and do basic work with around the property. It has proven to be the biggest piece of shit I've ever spent money on. Plastics have literally crumbled and fallen apart in places, brakes fell apart and allowed the pistons in the calipers to eat the rotors at only 500 miles, it overheated constantly due to how much heat the V-twin produces combined with the radiator location, so I had to relocate the radiator to the front rack, the tires were completely bald at 600 miles, maintenance is a nightmare because of the location of filter caps, drain bolts, etc. It makes a squeal from the front end that we've never figured out. All of this in the first year! I'll never touch a Can't-Am ever again.
Got the hd7 xu myself. It needed a tire upgrade. The stock tires are fine for trails but struggled in the mud and even climbing over fallen trees. great quad I'm loving every minute on it and haven't had any issues other than wanting better tires. I got the XU in tan because can am disconnected the tan xmr and I couldn't find one. I'm slowly building mine towards a xmr. I should have just purchased the tan plastic afterward and swapped it😂.
Good review and good driving. I like the look of those new Outlanders the more I see them. The storage boxes are great, especially the one with the USB charging ports.
Nice little plug for stuff. I hope you got to keep the gear. As it really is more ideal for what you just did than what you were wearing out there last time doing that. lol I might even go full open face helmet for slow and technical. Get as much air as one can. As for the quad, well, let's just say it is over priced and apparently not worth factory prices either as it has a lot of issues.
Do a roller wheel slip test to compare the 4wd systems with different atvs visco lok vs visco 4 lok vs visco qe vs polaris etc then show how they work in the real world
$2200 for a fuel pump, filter, idler pulley, and a battery good lord, you need a new mechanic. That dude is taxing the hell out of you, probably because you're on a RUclips channel IDK.
Definitely not the ultimate mud machines. If any I would have at least started with the new xmr 700 then go from there but not this hd5 model. Those are more for work than play let alone for muddin

Looks like a blast great video TFL!! ATVing is one of the most fun things ever!

They tend to leave all the cvt driven quads and sxs in high it's awful on the cvt
An I appreciate the review but an experienced rider would easily tackle that ditch thing pretty much any part

That is terrible. I have always felt like the Japanese make the best ATVs...my first choice would be Honda.
That's what happen when I bought a Polaris, since then I always bought kingquads 400 500 750 I wonder what I'll get next lol
Funny they seem to hold up the best for anyone racing GNCC, Baja, mud racing and those are the most grueling conditions.

love it! 4wheelers bring back childhood memories
Thanks KASE 👏👏👏.......Thanks Camera Ninja Alex👏👏👏
Great vids keep um commin.
Will you be testing the 6 x 6s?👍👍👍💯💯💯🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Great to see ATV's being tested. Thanks
Really like my 700 XT MAX. Does everything well.
Your having a lot of that's great 👍

I have a 22 850 and love it
Does it have u joints from motor to gear boxes ?

What isn't overpriced nowadays
What issues does it have?
Kid is test driving this amazing machine with all these features and chooses the "easier" route in the mudd hole.
Can you add a back seat to this one??
I just bought this one
Nice Video.
Try the Sportsman 6x6 if you want to see go anywhere capability
If you want to show people what a can am can do, get a 1000 Xmr out there. I have a ‘22 and it’s a beast

1st 😊....HAVE A BEAUTIFUL THURSDAY EVERYONE ✌️
Doesn’t even come with a winch. I just bought a CFMoto CForce 500 and it’s awesome.
Would rather see a grizzly test but another great vid
Is it comfortable suspension? Or is to too stiff??
It’s adjustable
Does any ATV have actual water and dust tight storage?!?!
Yes the new outlander has 2
Would be nice if this was made in a max model
Why are you high gear? Put it in low gear when going that slow. That’s how you ruin your belt.
Why they keep doing this in high range is beyond me!
They even run trucks in high gear a lot, transmissions be hating life
more atv please
Good review but buddy use that throttle in low range. Go through all that like nothing
XMR !!!!!!!
Test more ATV’s !!!
That megacab ruined the trail for anything that isn’t a fully built off-roader
Camera man was shaking as much as the camera on the ATV. Couldn't watch it. Had to stop after 2 minutes.
Not a great driver but good review!
Oh and goes 80 mph
Power steering? Tge world is becoming wimpy. I used to drive an F250 without steering!
i have 500 pro with no power sterring ! no problem for me !
Well not as entertaining as the bike, where it was high 70s? Maybe 80. Getting stuck twice😂& subsequent 👀🍬🤷♂️🤣. But nevertheless entertaining
